I've wanted to try this place forever. Why did I wait so long? It's definitely controlled chaos in the basement of an old mall facade (?) but deals are to be had! From what I gathered, some are new and some are returned items to Nordstrom. Bought some Rothy's loafers for work for $38, some returned (very lightly used) Brooks Ghost 17 shoes for $52, and some $15 sneaks Nordstrom brand. Kids stuff was 1/2 off and bought some sweaters half off, too. Left spending quite a bit but probably bought 15 items for $173. Would definitely return. I recommend the rolling carts and not the shopping carts. Can be cramped to get down aisles. Maybe a reusable IKEA bag would be a good option, too. Wish they had more skincare and housewares. read more

This place is a staple for me whenever I come to Phoenix. I come here when I'm looking for a specific outfit, such as something for the Renaissance fair, or when I wanna stock up on bras, or am in need of a quick gift, some bedding, or some cheap shoes, even. There's a lot of reasons I might come here, but the thing that keeps me coming is the great deals that I find. Depending on the season, you can find so many things at such affordable pricing! I'm happy to say that I no longer see the staff blocking off areas, and listing off rules like I used to (it was really strange). It was very busy on a Friday late afternoon but well worth shuffling through the tight isles and bumping elbows lol because the deals weee chefs kiss! I found a cute pair of sandal wedges and 4 shirts/tops! I also got a sweatshirt on an additional 75% clearance for $3.24. Such a win! I've visited Last Chance twice, both on Saturday evenings (around 4p then around 7p) and found gems both times! To preface this review, I'm not someone who shops for brand-name clothing. All I look for is AFFORDABILITY, style and predicted silhouette on my body, and quality material that at the very least won't fall apart in a year. This being said, Last Chance fulfilled my criteria both times I've come. Every week, they choose 1 color to be on sale 25% off on Sundays, 50% off Monday-Thursday, and 75% off Friday and Saturday. Then the cycle restarts on Sunday again with a different color. On top of this weekly sale structure, I've noticed random additional sales. For example, one Saturday was 50% all bottoms excluding denim and designer. Wow. There are many different sections in the store, from hats to socks to comforters to coats to baby clothes to dresses to pants to tops to sweaters. There are even home goods like suitcases and trinkets. They sell men's clothing too, although the majority is women's. Not sure the fitting room schedule as when I came 2 hours before closing one Saturday, they were closed. I've purchased tops, dresses, and skirts from Last Chance, ranging from about $3 to $10. None were designer, but I don't care about that. I'm super happy with my purchases so far. Of note, many of them were damaged and everything is sold as is, but I have fabric glue and know how to sew/alter/tailor so this wasn't a problem for me. I was able to fix everything up good as new! Please note that given the nature of the store, it can be very crowded with customers rudely throwing clothing around without picking them up - leading to unnecessary stains or damage that otherwise wouldn't be there. Also, there is terrible or NO signal in the basement. It gets better if you step outside the store where the sock bins are. read more

This used to be the place. The deals were amazing and dealing with messes and crazy amounts of people was justified because you knew you would come out with some great items. Fast forward to current day 2026, it's giving Goodwill vibes, marking up items so high it's actually cheaper to go into Nordstrom its self and buy the item brand new with no issues. I've heard management has changed and that has been the cause for the price gauging. Honestly I blame influencers for showing off their finds and management for then taking advantage of people also looking for the same deals. But I'm over influencers and brands caring more about influencers than the people who have kept them in business for years, instead we pay more for an item than it's being sold for in the original store. It's a shame greed takes over and people lack integrity. I hope one day things can be adjusted and it makes sense to shop here again. Maybe with another change in management? With some patience, an eye for detail, and a good audiobook to listen to, you can find some really fantastic deals and beautiful goods for less. Depending on which day it is, they may offer anywhere from 50-75% off (sometimes even 90% off) a specific ticket color. This store is less of a store, and more of a discount basement. If you're from New England, and you're older, you may remember something called "Filene's Basement." This reminds me a lot of that! It's a big floor with rows of all kind of clothing, shoes, home goods, accessories like bags and hats, and more. I've found SOOO many things here and brought them home with me. Keep in mind: these items aren't guaranteed like-new. A lot of these things were worn and returned. So like shopping secondhand, or a thrift store, you will want to properly wash and clean items before bringing them into your home/closet. This place is almost always busy. But it's the busiest right when it opens. Typically, if you go even an hour or two before the store opens, a line will start to form. Even more so on big discount days (like Fridays). Bring a friend, or a good audiobook, and you could be here for hours scooping up some treasures. read more

Ohhh how I hate to divulge this information. However it's only fair that I share it. Many do know about the deals they have. So here's how it works. Nordstrom sells high end products. What doesn't sell there goes to Nordstrom Rack. Then returns and whatever didn't sell at Nordstrom, goes to ...... da, da, ta, da.... Last Chance right in the center of Phoenix. I'm a visitor now, although I grew up in Scottsdale. Still visit family but often head for Last Chance first. I now live in the mountains of New Mexico and lost 50 lbs in the last year. Needed an all new wardrobe. When it came to warm jackets, I knew it was going to be costly. Ordered some online at over $250 each BUT I found 4 warm jackets and snow boots at LC for $169. Never could have bought one quality one anywhere for that price elsewhere. They were all brand new. You have to be careful because some might have tears or something wrong. Check zippers and inside & out carefully cause once you buy it, it's yours. No refunds So I carried some things in my Last Chance bag onto a plane going home. The flight attendant screamed (not loud enough to cause a panic, mind you) "oh that's my favorite store. I always go there when I'm in Phoenix" So there it so.... Secret is out Have fun!! read more

Trucker Hat $3.97 What a deal! I've seen this at Marshalls and TJ Maxx for about $10-$20 for the same hat. You cannot go wrong going to this place. This is a shopper's dream to buy things from Nordstrom Rack but priced either a few dollars cheaper than Nordstrom Rack. I've seen items still priced Nordstrom Rack prices but don't let that scare you from buying from Last Chance. Look for the tags they are promoting on a daily basis because today's discounted items were men's and women's tops and bottoms for 50% off. It's busy when we came and when I saw a large selection of hats, I started with that section. This is that place where you must go everyday to every week to find what you're looking for. While there are many hidden gems to find, I noticed a big issue today. I have been shopping here for over 10 years and today I was disappointed to see that many items that were marked down at Nordstrom Rack stores are being priced higher at last chance than what the Nordstrom Rack tag says. I saw many examples of this at the store and unfortunately I did not take pictures. I will include one of an item I purchased that has been priced higher at last chance. Always grab a cart, or bring your own bag because you will stock up fast. It's an overwhelming store so bring a bar and water too. I love bin shopping but it's a lot. The best deals are in the bins by the door, and inside it is sectioned off by higher designer brands and regular Nordstrom brands. So many shoes. We ended up not making it to the fitting room before it closed so we tried on things by a mirror over our clothes and the sales associate didn't hate us too much. This store is HUGE! The prices are always great. We had a great conversation with our cashier, Melanie, despite it being really really busy.

this store was complete mayhem with virtually no place to move. Many of the articles of clothing are odd and not for everyday use. And prices werent that compelling to push your way through and look at clothing was not really very 'mainstream". Im all for finding a diamond in the rough, but I couldnt see that happening here. I honestly gave up prefering less chaos and a place that had some level of organization. While this may be for some shoppers, the 'juice wasnt worth the squeeze' iMHO. read more

This used to be the place to go years ago on a Saturday morning before or after breakfast but now....SHEESH , It's a disaster of a place to go!!! I just so happened to stop here after having breakfast after not having been here in over 10yrs or more. I remember it being a little more organized but my gosh has that changed. Kinda scared to touch anything using my bare hands now. Stuff was just tossed everywhere and although they always have a crowd I personally didn't think that their prices were that grand. If I remember correctly, you used to could go here and get a steal but now you're better off shopping online. I did see a huge picture that I wanted but the darn thing was expensive. Idk just go to Nordstrom rack or TJ Max instead. It's not worth rummaging and digging here. It looks worse than Goodwill and honestly Goodwill is more organized and have new items for sale. This place is not for everyone- you definitely need to have enough time to search as it is PACKED with home items, clothes, shoes and more! You can spend hours here as they have great deals. I recommend coming having an idea of what you want cause there is so much to look at. The check out was quick and we were informed that the blue tags were 50% off which I then walked out with 4 pairs of quality shoes for $50. For the designer area, you have to wait in line and you only get 5 minutes to look. I didn't find the prices to be anything crazy, meaning huge deals but I usually don't shop designer. There are people monitoring you who then walk you out after the 5 minutes are up. However, very respectful and nice. Because of its location, I didn't have any service so I advise to just keep an eye on the team. Otherwise, happy shopping! read more

For those of you that don't know about this store, I'll explain why it's called last chance. Last chance is owned by Nordstrom, and they receive returns from Nordstrom and Nordstrom rack. The process is usually that it goes from Nordstrom to Nordstrom rack and if it's returned to Nordstrom rack or if no one buys it at Nordstrom rack then it goes here. But sometimes it ends up here right away if it has a manufacturer's defect or a small stain somewhere. Sometimes you can't tell what the issue is until you look closely. I'm a bigger guy, so shopping for me isn't easy. Most stores don't carry much in my size so I have to look everywhere to find it. I got my engagement outfit from last chance and it looks great and it was cheap! Last chance has a great concept that just needs better execution. The value is by far deserving of 5 stars, so is the selection, but the service and the organization is where this store remains lack luster. So immediately when you enter the store you have just entered Black Friday and people are fighting each other throwing things everywhere and there's crowds just roaming the store like a herd of sheep without a shepherd. However.. It's definitely a place you can find the Diamond in the rough outfit if you have the patience and determination to do so. Things are in random places, the customers don't care to place anything where it belongs so they pull it off the rack and throw it on top or put it somewhere completely different each time, and they don't have enough staff to mitigate the issue before it creates chaos. So the only way to find what you're looking for is to go through every size rack, and look on top, to the side, even on the floor, to find that special gem that you're hoping to find. I found my lovely size 2x pants in the size small section for example lol. They have a designed area full of Gucci, versache, etc , but they only give you a 5 minute shopping window and again it's a little disorganized. This kind of sucks because there's also a line to get to that area. I think they should consider doubling the size of the area so twice as many people can shop at the same time and increasing the shopping time allowance to 10 minutes, as well as staffing it a little better. Nothing in that section is cheap even though it's heavily marked down so why would they hurt their own sales on their highest ticket items, makes no sense. read more

It's a crazy fun place! It takes time to go on the treasure hunt! And stand in line at the design corner. But it sure can be worth it! I got a $3300 Valentino bag that needed a new strap fastener. It cost $900. I got in touch with Valentino and they got it fixed at no charge. You have to know brands and be able to spot a deal and think quick on your feet. I've gotten the greatest shoes ever there speaking of feet! Every time I go to Scottsdale that's where I go! Unfortunately I had a bad experience at this store Two thing happen my mom got in line to pay for her items I go with her and pay for mine at the same register but the cashier asked me to go to the line there was no line at all.... I told her I'm with my mom and I was going to pay at her register but she said are you guys paying together I said no she then said rude we'll get back in line I just walked away prom her because I knew it was not going to end this right... I pay for some sneakers but as I walked out the store I notice the shoes were ripped and I didn't notice I went back to the store and told the manager Beatrice and she said there is nothing I can do.... There seems to be two type of people who shop here- those of us who don't care about a little messiness , and then others who expect this place to look spotless. I came for the deals and that's exactly what I got. I ended up getting three shirts, a belt and some shorts and a towel set. Great deals on each item. I have mixed feelings about last chance. The deals are great when you can find them but you better be prepared to spend a lot of time sifting through overstuffed racks. You need to be diligent on the quality of things as some items are damaged and/or stained as well. They have great brand options and high end stuff available from time to time. Access to those areas is given by waiting in a separate line and a few individuals are let in at a time. They have a lot of shoes and women's clothes. Men's, children's and home sections are much smaller. It's usually very busy. Doesn't matter what day I go. Be prepared for a long line for checkout too! Sometimes it wraps around the whole store. I do recommend checking it out if you like shopping. If you don't like shopping, don't go. You gotta get your hands dirty to find the good stuff so dive in elbows deep. read more

Absolutely unacceptable behavior at Last Chance Nordstrom in Arizona. What we experienced today wasn't just poor service, it was public humiliation, mistreatment, and outright harassment by staff. This needs to be escalated to Nordstrom corporate immediately! My friend was yelled at across the store by a blonde manager, in front of other customers, for picking up a misplaced item, briefly showing it to me, and placing it back where she found it. She had no idea it was in the wrong spot, but that didn't stop the manager from loudly and aggressively calling her out in a completely inappropriate way. Later, while we were checking out together, my cashier repeatedly told her to go to the back of the line, even though we were clearly shopping together and most of the cart contained my items. It was rude, dismissive, and unnecessary. She was also yelled at in the shoe department and threatened with being kicked out over something she didn't even realize she had done wrong. Then, her cart was taken and cleared when she stepped away for just a moment. And it didn't stop there, I was mistreated as well. I stood and waited patiently while an employee restocked a shoe shelf aisle. She specifically told me to wait where I was until she finished. After standing there for over 15 minutes, she removed the barrier and then told me I had to walk all the way to the opposite end of the aisle and get in line, ignoring the fact that I had followed her exact instructions. At that point, it felt more like harassment than policy enforcement. To top it off, I read a review posted just 12 hours ago, the same time we were in the store, describing staff yelling at both an elderly woman and another customer for doing the exact same thing my friend was scolded for: putting back a misplaced item without realizing it. The same tone. The same humiliation. The same disrespect. This is no coincidence, this is clearly a staff and management issue. We spent over $2,500 today, and I personally spend thousands more each year at the main Nordstrom store. To be treated this way, after that level of loyalty and business, is disgraceful. Nordstrom, this store carries your name. The behavior we experienced today is damaging to your brand. No customer should ever be treated this way. I had one of the most disrespectful and overwhelming experiences I've ever had at a retail store at Last Chance (1919 E Camelback Rd, Phoenix, AZ). The staff was beyond unprofessional and rude to everyone around -- including an elderly woman who politely asked if another cashier was available. Instead of offering help, the associate snapped at her and told her if she didn't want to wait, she could leave. Completely unacceptable. Shortly after, I was yelled at by an employee for not placing a shirt "properly" back on the rack. He told me he had just cleaned it and basically scolded me like a child to "keep it clean." That level of condescension in a retail setting is appalling. Worse yet, I was falsely accused of switching a price tag on a pair of off-brand sneakers that were clearly marked and worth around $60. The associate claimed -- based on her cell phone -- that they were $100 shoes, and when I asked her to check the cameras to prove I hadn't switched anything, she yelled at me and said she didn't have time for that. Instead of taking a moment to calmly assess the situation, I was treated like a criminal. This entire experience was humiliating and triggering. As someone who suffers from anxiety, I left that store in complete distress. It's mind-blowing how consistently rude and aggressive every staff member was -- not just to me, but to multiple customers. I've contacted local news outlets to bring attention to what's happening in that store. No one -- especially elderly people or those with mental health challenges -- should be treated this way. read more
