I know who that person is, and they are not a member of the Senior Center but have a personal vendetta. You can see that they all use the same wording. I don't know where the other two reviewers were but Claymore Center is clean. My friend and I went into the center so she could see the gym and then we went up stairs to see the director. After we left my friend said to me she could not believe how clean the center was. The walls look like they had just been painted. The director was very pleasant and even remembered my name. read more

In order to stay within CorpFire's review guidelines, I won't mention the FULL name of the person/associate I dealt with at Claymore Senior Center.. I was referred to Claymore Senior Center by a friend for my Mother. The minute I walked into the place I got the feeling that I was dealing with 'amatuers'. The owner was not there at the time, so I spoke to woman; let's just call her "Donna". She didn't seem very interested in answering my questions about the Center. However, I got a strange feeling that she was...let's just say...coming on to me. I realize this sounds far-reaching, but this is exactly what it seemed like. I don't have to tell you that I felt very uncomfortable, and within 10 minutes I made up my mind not to have my Mother go there. There are other reputable Senior Centers in the area. I toured the Claymore Senior center as I was interested in some of the programs they had to offer. I could not have been more disappointed. I found the Director, I think her name was Donna, rude and completely disinterested in myself as a prospective member. If she is going to deal with the public, she really should work on her people skills. Also I thought this was an active Senior Center not a nursing home.It seems they treat the members like small children. Again, I mainly interacted with the Director. The cleanliness of the facility also left a lot to be desired. Needless to say this one is off my list, mainly becuase of the rudeness of the Director Her rudeness, incompetence, and indifference were really disturbing. read more

I agree. The Director, Donna, does have some "personality issues". I was a member there 2 years ago, and she does have her favorites. However, I hear the Board is not happy, so maybe things will change. She treats it as her own little fiefdom. I just merely put her in her place. My big problem were the activities or lack of. What there were seemed for people of advanced age. I am not. I do not appreciate being treated like a child. I now belong to Mid-County which is a very progressive senior center, and am very happy. read more
