Next day of joining I received a call to reject my membership, reason given- my area to be eliminated for shuttle service. One year later still comes to my neighborhood. Seen the shuttle again today 7-11-25. A year I could've been going. This is what cliques do. Gotta know someone to be a member. The baloney given to me was the center has changed policy. I now go to another senior center closer and no fee to join, everyone friendly, unlike the New Castle senior center. No good reason to deny me, while they claim I wasn't, telling me it was just because of the shuttlebus. The place could've welcomed me until my area eliminated, or told me of DART shuttlebus could take me. They didn't. My advice to any new seniors-don't go there. You'll be denied unless you know someone that is a member or of the staff.

Not a good place to hold meetings. My group and I were treated very poorly by one of the staff…read moremembers, I believe she is in management. When we were beginning class, she rushed in and started aggressively pointing a finger at me. She said, I had made the floor dirty and they had to get it shampooed for a lot of money. The floor was filthy, I never ate or drank in that room and neither did my group. She needed to blame someone, so she made something up. Anyone entering this building should be treated with respect and dignity, especially if they never did anything wrong. All people should be treated fairly and equally regardless of who they are. The staff needs to do a better job of being kind, considerate and respectful to the people bringing them business. It was a crazy experience, I will never go back to this place and would never recommend it for anyone. They should not be transferring their personal issues on to others in a professional setting in their work because they feel privileged and entitled to that. That is a shame. On them, not on us.

Undeserving of 1 star. Dirty basement setting without handicapped accessible entrance. Musty,…read morepoorly lit, underground, unfriendly atmosphere. Bob chased a crippled girl across the room, cussed at her. Very unprofessional. Not a safe place for women or disabled people. Disgraceful, poor excuse of a senior center. Was deserted, unwelcoming, rundown. Looks like something out of a horror movie where people are trapped & inside with a deranged serial killer & you know that nobody will survive. Don't waste your time going there.
