First timer and happy with it all! Brandi was great in providing step-by-step instructions and…read moresince we were the only group scheduled, she provided a lot of extra attention. She was super friendly and we would want her to be our guide next time too! Board and Brush is located in the historic Whiskey Row Alley and is surprisingly bigger than it looks. Tables seat several people at a time and are perfect for groups. We were a group of four (celebrating a birthday!) and due to the projects we pre-selected (completed during online booking process), we were seated at two tables. Aprons and all project materials were neatly placed on the tables when we arrived and after signing in, we were up and creating! The entire experience was very engaging and super fun. Projects are selected and paid for during the online reservation process. It's very easy to get caught up in looking through all the various projects available and most cost the same either way the exception of a few that require an additional fee. My patriotic tray was an additional $5 due to the required hardware, but once you see the quality of the wood, it all makes sense. Nothing is made from particle board or cheap lumber. This is a great place for a girls day/night out and for bookings made after 4PM, wine is also allowed! I truly enjoyed creating my project and hope to return in the near future.

Disappointed. Bought this experience as a gift for my mom. I paid extra for the succulent box,…read morethinking that would come with it, hence the extra price. Not sure why I paid extra for just a box with very little paint on it comparative to other larger and more elaborate projects for a lower price.

What a collection of kaleidoscopes!! Located on Main St in Jerome,…read more The building was a bordello in the past and later transitioned to a restaurant. They preserved some of the original details of the building. When we walked in the store clerk greeted us, and shared information about the store and the kaleidoscopes. It is named after Nellie Bly a journalist who traveled around the world in 72 day. The store is the largest kaleidoscope dealer in the world. The clerk pointed out some of her favorites and shared how best to experience the reflections and changing patterns. The intricacy and colors were indescribable. Attached to it is Around the World With Nellie Bly, a store with a variety of items of art and collectibles. You can spend as much time as you want looking into each kaleidoscope and learning about the pieces.

This place is ridiculously magical. It's like someone captured sunsets, opals, stained glass, and interdimensional portals and said, "Yes, put it in a tube and make it spin." I came in for a quick peek and promptly lost all concept of time. One second it's "I'll just look around," and the next you're in a trance whispering, "OH MY GOD" into a kaleidoscope like it's giving you life advice. The staff are the real MVPs: genuinely fun, friendly, and obsessed (in the best way) with what they do. They LOVE sharing their passion, showing you different designs, explaining how they're made, and basically turning your casual browsing into a full-blown kaleidoscope awakening. I did not know I needed so many kaleidoscopes. Turns out I needed... many. And then they casually mention they offer classes. CLASSES. I am now emotionally invested and fully prepared to fly back to Jerome just to take one, because apparently this is who I am now. 10/10. Go. Bring curiosity. Leave with joy (and potentially an unreasonable number of kaleidoscopes).
