On my last visit I was the only customer. It was done fast. I had to ask her to fix some problems with my haircut. When I got home the feedback from my wife included the only negative comments I can remember her making about a new haircut of mine. It was clearly uneven on the back. Really poorly done. She took scissors and tried to fix it. Also, the jingoism and militarism in the decor is a bit much. Looking down and seeing my hair trimmings on an American flag used as a cape is off-putting. Using the flag as a cape is in poor taste and disrespectful. I know the flag is misused for everything nowadays, but this former Boy Scout still shakes his head when I see what is done to it. And I'm on the political left. I think my late Marine Corps drill instructor father-in-law would agree. Maybe it was just a bad day. But the bad haircut and what looks like pandering to a shallow, misguided sense of patriotism will keep me away. I wish them well.
