Unfortunately he has to have a pretty entailed surgery but we feel comfortable with his plan for him to remove it and preserve the teeth. The office is new and modern with very friendly staff that made us feel comfortable. He's a young doctor that made us feel like we're in good hands. Getting our consultation took about a week and scheduling surgery was less than a week. I'm writing this as we wait for him to come out of his procedure so if necessary I can update my review but so far so good!!

I knew that the tooth could use a crown but might not have to have one if there was no decay under the remainder of the existing filling. I intentionally sought out a smaller practice with conservatives signage. This office is right across from the post office and I just walked in and inquired. Nothing fancy but I wasn't looking for fancy. I was looking for unpretentious and non-greedy quality care. Many practitioners now consider pushing the most expensive options on patients as quality care because after all aren't they helping them prevent any possible surprises? But I don't choose to drive around in an armored tank and not every tooth needs to be crowned that has a large filling. In fact, the filling that lost a piece had been in there for 30 years and the tooth could've used a crown at that time. The difference in price of the filling and the crown is several hundreds of dollars. Getting dental work done is never lots of fun but Dr. Atchenson was gentle and it was painless dentistry. He and his staff did a great job at a fair price and I'm greatly appreciative.
