Not all that far from a minor level of hell. The room is overcrowded, with too many machines for its size placed in close proximity, and the aisles are narrow. Dryers are almost always at a premium. There are two benches to sit. The staff (who I kind of feel for) is basically fine and can be friendly enough, but the customers, a mix of families, hipsters, twenty somethings, and people from the hood, are the usual NYC subject: disinterested, inconsiderate, oblivious to anything but their own interests, aloof, but also mildly aggressive. If you want to put money on your laundry card using a credit card, there is now a $25 minimum. Out of the two machines that make change for cash, one is broken, and there is no ATM :) The dry cleaning service was good when I used it years ago. I'd say avoid Clean City if you can except for dry cleaning service. read more

I brought 2 dresses and a sweater here for dry cleaning on a Monday night (7:30pm). The ticket printed said Wednesday by 5pm but the employee crossed that out and said Thursday by 9pm. So I went back Thursday at 2pm and the employee (a different woman from Monday) looked at the ticket and said no it won't be ready until 4pm. I was frustrated, but left and came back at 4pm. When I returned at 4pm I spoke with the woman from Monday night who told me the clothes would not be done until 9pm. This is especially frustrating because I was leaving for a week at 5pm and would not be able to come back until I returned. My roommate offered to return the following day (Friday morning) to pick up my items. When she returned she was told that the dry cleaning machine was broken and my items were not ready. They added that they had no timeline for when it would be fixed. They also did not offer to return the items and issue a refund. 3 days later my roommate received a text message (she'd left them her phone number so she could receive updates) which said not only were the clothes ready for pickup, but they'd been ready for several days already (it had only been 3 days since she'd been told there was no timeline for a fix). I will never go back to this business. Despite being ultimately pleased with the quality of their work (the clothes were VERY clean) their lack of transparency as well as their poor customer service left me with a bad taste in my mouth. They were so sketchy about the whole thing. A terrible way to run a business and treat a first time customer. I wouldn't trust them with anything. read more

It's been about 13 years since I used a laundromat, but had a leak in my laundry room and here we go. I used the drop off service with a 24 hour turn around. Staff have always been nice and friendly. Clothes return neatly folded and in a plastic bag within my laundry bag. The soap they use isn't good, your stuff never smells fresh and they don't seem to use fabric softener or dryer sheets. So I started supplying my own tide pods and dryer sheets. Didn't seem like they actually used it. Also noticed some clothes randomly come back with what looks like soap stains. Staff apologized about it when it happened the first time but seems to have happened more than once as I just noticed another shirt with stains. Anyway, the staff is very nice but I dropped my stuff off two blocks away to a different laundromat and my clothes smelled clean and fresh and fluffy. So I can't go back to this place. Thankfully my laundry room is fixed now and new appliances come this week. read more

The owner Igor is terrible and rude. Last Saturday, I paid for dry cleaning pick up on Tuesday after 5. It wasn't ready until Thursday. When I asked for discount, I got chewed out by Igor and offered a negligible discount. I said no for obvious reasons and he yelled at me and told me to never come back. Fantastic customer service! The washeteria also sucks. The washer card machine eats money, the clothes don't get sufficient water coverage, etc. read more

I have been frequenting this establishment for the last 6 years and my experiences have varied greatly over time. I've stuck with this spot as it is the only practical option in close proximity and my laundry card has more free drying cycles than I'll ever be able to use. In the beginning I would drop off my laundry and pick it up the next day but had to stop using this service when my clothes were returned torn up, dingy and smelling like mildew on more than one occasion. So instead I made the switch to washing them myself in order to save some money and to ensure a proper cleaning. This has proven to be a challenge at times as quite a few machines are used by staff and others are consistently out of order. Sometimes every machine is being used and I've had to sit and wait for one to open up. Couple the wait with telenovela blaring from the TV, the intrusive smell of an entire family eating Popeye's on the folding tables and a houseless individual making the rounds to beg for lunch - you get an idea of what this place is like during busy afternoon hours. As far as the facilities go, the bathroom is dark and in disrepair, the tops of machines are often spattered with detergent, folding tables are often dirty and crumb covered, the rolling laundry carts are all broken to some degree, garbages are generally full, the 'take a book - leave a book' is littered with religious pamphlets and more than a few of the dryers should be avoided if you like your clothes sans holes. With a handful of improvements, this place could be so much better but it seems like maintaining the current subpar service is all we can hope for. Good experience! Had a comforter picked up to be washed and delivered. It was returned clean and promptly, and we were able to pay by card when the delivery person dropped it off. They also called to keep me updated on the status of the order and when the delivery person was on the way for pick up and drop off! We'll use the service again. read more

I love this place! And I'm really picky about laundry. So picky, in fact, that I went to all of the laundromats in my immediate area to see which was the best, and clean city laundry won by a mile. Sure, it's a few blocks further out of the way (for me) than the others, but it's totally worth it. THEN I found out that they recently started pick-up drop-off service, AND you can give them your dry cleaning. I separate all of my items, include notes on how I would like everything washed, and it gets picked up from my house and dropped off back to my house at my convenience. Not to mention the fact that the customer service here is stellar. This will definitely be my go to place for as long as I live here! read more

I continue to have to most attentive service after almost 2 years in Bushwick. This place is not without its flaws but their attention to remedy is bar none the best I've experienced in Brooklyn. Not only have I had the timeliest of both pickups and drop offs, but I'm always greeted, via text (my preferred method), with the utmost courtesy and eagerness to accommodate both my push for same-day service (not that it always happens) and my requests for status updates which are crucial to my self-imposed punctuality. Terrible. An elderly man who was supposed to "help me" took my loaded card to show me how to insert it, and never gave it back. When I went to the management to tell them and ask for my card back--as the elderly man seems to have memory issues--they swore up and down that I clearly must have lost it. I told them they could check their camera footage to see otherwise (which I knew they wouldn't; it was just some stupid customer's laundry card, not serious stolen goods) and they just continued to gaslight me. I gave this place a LOT of chances because I REALLY needed a convenient laundry drop-off service near my apartment. But after about a half-a-dozen visits and consistent issues each time, I feel compelled to write a warning. I've had holes, rips and tears in my shirts and linens, I've had laundry come back smelling musty like it was left in the machine damp too long...And the last straw was when my laundry came back with a detergent/dryer sheet smell SO STRONG that I had to air everything out for over a week (stunk up the whole apartment - put out Bad Air Sponges and Arm& Hammer boxes all over the bedroom to compensate)...then ended up having to re-wash everything myself - twice - and weeks later the overpowering scent still lingers on my clothing and linens. I feel lucky to live around the corner from this laundromat. I have one issue, and I wanted to tell mgmt myself last time I was there but I couldn't find anyone working: the floors are filthy. Please mop more often! I think it's the grease from the cart wheels that is doing this. I dropped a couple things on the floor and they had to be rewashed it was so bad. The whole floor along the longest wall is covered in sticky tar. Be very careful if you drop a sock or set down your bag on the floor! read more

I don't know what what going on in 2012, but I have been going to this laundromat for about 8 months and I have never had any problems. It's relatively clean and the people who work there are polite and helpful. I've used their drop off service and dry cleaning as well. The one time I had an issue with the dry cleaning, they sent the clothes back out with no extra charge or fuss and returned them in good condition. This place uses a card system, so you don't have to horde quarters. While the washers are a bit expense, they're not much more than other places in the neighborhood. They also offer free dryer cycles when you use the washing machines. And they're open 24/7! read more

i have used this place off and on since i've lived in the neighborhood. there are other 24 hour laundromats closer to where i live however none where i can pick up my laundry 24 hrs a day. here you can pick up your clothing (laundry) anytime 24/7, where as the other laundromat near me you can't. the problem i've had with this place is that a few times items have come up missing. Expensive Shirts etc. the first time the management there gave me a free washing and drying the next time i came in. the next time it happened this year, staff promised they'd check the cameras, speak to the manager igor, find out who was responsible for washing my items, etc. they promised to call me but never did, so weeks later i went there to address management. management took a defensive posture and told me he'd research everything and call me. management has not called me yet and it has been more than a month. while i need a place where i can pick up my dropped off laundry anytime, i will not be using this place anymore in that management has not corrected the problem i've been having each time i drop off my laundry there. i'd still welcome a call with a justification as to why my clothing is missing since it is a laundromat where you are less likely to find problems with vagrants and homeless people sleeping and hanging out in there. until then, i will not be going back. i'm looking for a new laundromat in or near 11206 where i can pick up my laundry anytime. All and All the staff do there job, quiet and friendly environment. the only problem i have is when my items clothing come up missing. while small businesses are subject to bad reviews i want to be fair, because when i first started using this laundromat years ago i could not find and item that i bought to the laundromat. i complained and igor the manager made it right and next time gave me a free washing and drying. later i found the item and realized that either i didn't include it in my load or did but didn't see in when i picked up my laundry. i apologized to the girl whom i blamed for it. however the next time something like this happened i really was missing a traditional american flag silk shirt which i remember specifically bringing there they have not made it right. i would have liked to stayed and solitcite this establishment, however they have not rectified the situation. i don't advise dropping off your laundry there since items come up missing. maybe a good place to do laundry on your own. but definitely i will not be dropping off there since they have not corrected the situation of my missing clothing. very sad. read more

I have tried the delivery service five times. They have had 5 opportunities to get it right. However they continue to not follow times and even in some cases will tell you that they do not have your laundry. The woman on the phone in the laundry acts as if she is not responsible for clothes or anything when you call. She even has the decency to say wait until tomorrow although the delivery men are late. Pretty much out of control. Do not use this delivery service if you have an option of using another. read more
