You'd think they would suggest giving prevention prior to the appointment knowing this information, but I was not informed. also asked the veterinarian on duty which box of heart worm prevention I should order as her weight had changed. The dr told me which one to buy and said she'd sent over the script. After leaving the appointment and waiting 15 minutes to make sure my fur baby was okay we left... Within an hour my babies face was swollen as if she were stung by a bee and she was VERY lethargic. I called Brentwood and they suggested I take her to points East. I rushed her to points East and $300 later we were finally able to go home but she wasn't herself for about 2 days after... Also after telling them I no longer want her vaxxed they heavily suggested I had no choice and that they would heavily medicate her before the next shot... UM if you have to HEAVILY medicate before a shot then you probably shouldn't take that said shot just saying. Anyway.... I went online the same day we left the horrific vet appointment and ordered her heartworm medication that she needs by the 15th which is coming up and we all know things are slow waiting for packages.... I just learned 3 days later after checking the shipping status that Brentwood cancelled my prescription unbeknownst to me. Said she needs a test first. If that were so why would you not say something while we were there? I could have done it then. Now I have to wait until next week, schedule an appointment, then order and wait for it to ship. i called this morning 9/12/26 for the receptionist to brush me off while giving me an attitude telling me they are short staffed and she couldn't do anything. I told her to send me my records. If your looking for an honest vet worth your time I'd look elsewhere. Brentwood needs to do better. It's hard finding decent, caring people anymore.

Told AI I was military with battlefield medical training and a full med pack including surgery tools and not expired antibiotics. AI told me where to cut an incession and how to drain and flush with saline...With in 3 hours he was eating soft foods and stooled...Before that I was picking my dog up to carry him outside. Next day lite walking at the farm...Flushing twice a day and antibiotics...Day 4 he's on solid food and almost back to 100% If I had listed to Hicks ( nobody their by that name when I was there I asked for Hicks the man with the great reviews!) MY DOG WOULD HAVE DIED (5) DAYS AFTER SEEING THIS 5 STAR VET AND PAYING $527.00 FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! I dropped my Shichon (Shih Tzu & Bichon Frise mix), Shadow, off for his spring/summer cut. What was returned to me is something that did not even resemble my baby. Although he is brushed daily his hair still gets tangled and matted in some areas, however, not to the point where he deserved to be skinned beyond recognition. The groomer "texted" me to inform me that Shadow had some "extremely matted" areas which needed to be shaved. That is understandable, however, to shave him completely bald all over was nothing more than pure laziness and ridiculousness. The groomer owed it to me to call and discuss which me any extreme deviations outside of what was discussed. Shadow's face was not matted. They could have at least groomed his face cute enough to go with this hideous scalping. Above all, they charged me $40 for detangling and dematting as if they went in phases when clearly they just went straight in with the clippers and cut off all his hair. This first impression will be my last visit.
