When I called and asked about this, they said if you don't want ice, you have to specifically ask for it and they will charge you extra for not putting ice in! As anyone knows... especially celery juice is not supposed to have ice in it as it will dilute it and render it less powerful. A juice bar should know such basics. read more

I was a really underwhelmed. My Juice had an overwhelming amount of ginger like it was so potent! I don't remember it being that strong in the past couple times I've had it! This is a convenient Clean Juice location near Myers Park. I love that they are open early so it's easy to order online for a pickup en route to the office. The store is not far from the popular Park Rd shopping center and the South Park mall. It's smaller than some Clean Juice locations in the area, but there is bag seating available if you prefer to dine in. There's also a private lot out front, shared of course with the other shoppes in the strip. I was a little shocked that the store looks less than stellar. It just looks like a good dusting and cleaning was needed. I hope they are not hurting for business, and seeing that money put back into the establishment is always a nice thing. read more

I'm on this journey starting Monday, July 28.. Can't wait to evaluate this Clean Juice cleanse to dinner. Thanks to my accountability partner for doing this with me. Just so you know.... order ahead for the Clean Juice cleanse because they make them fresh.. I ordered mine on Friday. But you don't need to do that unless you're PARANOID (Like ME) and you want the freshest press (again, ME). BUT If YOU ARE doing the longer term cleanse you absolutely should ORDER AHEAD. FYI, my accountability partner said let's do this on a Monday. So to have the freshest cold pressed we called and we picked up on Sunday. We live in different areas but we were able to coordinate well because they have franchises. So I was disappointed when I arrived and the girl picked my juices from the refrigerator and noticed later that one of them had a 30% off sticker because the expiration date was in 2 days. I felt cheated by paying full price. Also- When I picked up, I ordered a protein smoothie called The Youthful One with the hemp (plant-based) versus the whey (dairy-based). It was delicious. The Youthful One and while it comes with no guarantee of a youth fountain, it energized me for another 8 hours. I had already been in the hot sun for 5 hours for work. I drank this for a lunch on the way to the gym, cleaned my front and back yard and did house work and didn't feel hungry until 7:00. Oops, forgot to come back and update on the cleanse. I enjoyed all the juices except for the red beet. I enjoy beets as a food but as a juice it tasted like soil if I were to actually eat soil. My favorites were Green and Yellow. Green made my friend and I burp a lot - perhaps it's the cucumber? It was not filling so I was drinking a lot of water to fill full and increased my weight by two pounds haha. I was very ready for the 2.5-3 hours to pass and drink the orange. The yellow was my favorite because of the lemon and cayenne pepper flavors. By 3:00 my stomach was growling loudly, I had to constantly go to the bathroom because of drinking so much water and juice. I broke down and ate almonds that were recommended for hunger pangs. Finally 5:00 came and it was a struggle to drink the red juice because of the taste but it was filling. For dinner, you enjoy a light meal so the salad and chicken breast were welcomed. I did not enjoy how I felt moments of nausea after the red juice and my dinner. The next day I weighed 2.4 pounds less and on the second day it was a total of 3.6 pounds lighter. I will repeat this cleanse next spring and summer to meet fitness goals and would like to find a way to avoid the red juice if possible. Sorry Clean Juice but that one sucks. read more

I just got to Charlotte and was feeling hungry. I wanted something sweet, satisfying, and not heavy and unhealthy for my gut. I settled on clean juice when searching Yelp for Açaí Bowls & they were still open and able to deliver. I ordered the Nutty Bowl & added coconut chips (eh could've done without them). The nutty bowl has açaí, bananas, strawberries, granola, almond butter, cacao, maple syrup, and almond milk (ALL ORGANIC INGREDIENTS). I ate it super quick as it was delicious. The granola definitely saved this entire bowl because it was not as sweet as I was hoping with having maple syrup in it and the strawberries weren't sweet, they were more tart. I feel like some ingredients might have been left out, but I wasn't there to make it. It just didn't seem to have all of those things such as almond butter, maple syrup, and cacao. So, it was bland and the only sweetness came from bananas and granola. I would go back because there are so many different bowls to try. I just was not feeling this one tonight. I'm not sure if it's because it was close to closing. But I tore it down either way. Not a deal breaker. read more

I recently ordered a breakfast wrap and the avocado was tougher than rubber, it was inedible, and my acai bowl was missing toppings. These prices are way to high to not get standard menu items right. I was so disappointed with the way I saw an incident in this store handled by the manager. The women in front of me was trying to open the door to leave and her salad fell out of her hands and all over the concrete. The manager would not give her another salad and tried to charge her another $10. The women said the top wasn't securely placed on the salad and when she opened the door it fell, so it wasn't her fault. The manager and the other employee ganged up on her and said they placed the top on correctly and their policy is she has to re pay. I've always loved Clean Juice and appreciate the Christian values. But my experience at this particular store was the worst. I placed an order through the app and got there early. My order was in the process of being made. I was told to wait outside for my order because I didn't have a mask on. I advised the cashier that I had a medical exemption and would rather wait inside while my order was completed. She became very rude and unprofessional telling me that wasn't an option. She would not give me her name or the managers name when I asked. She became loud and started to cause a scene. I asked for a refund after they threw my food away. I've been going to clean juice for over a year now. It's always such a headache to call and sign up for a juice cleans. I've picked up on a Monday before and was told I wasn't able to and it's not a thing. I have picked up an order that had expired juices and only realized this once I got home. I came into the Selwyn location the other day and was met with outstanding service and very friendly employees. I was exhausted after a long tiring workout and the recovery smoothie was absolutely amazing and was just what needed. The store was a little crowded when I was there so I had to wait a few minutes as all the employees worked hard on my smoothie and taking care of the other customers needs. One of the employees even found time to make small talk in her rush of work and I believe her name was taryn. The manager "caitlyn" was rude and disgusting. She forgot the name to my order. I was trying to explain I just called but she cut me off and snapped at me saying there was no order to which the employees Kyle and a blonde girl responded and checked to confirm I was right. Caitlyn as well mumbled other things under her breath. I didn't understand her hostile reaction as I was just trying to explain that I did make the order.. her hostility was just so baffling. As my order is being prepared she (caitlyn) says to put pineapples on my bowl when I specifically said NO pineapples but luckily Kyle was on top of it. I can understand a place being busy and workers scrambling but Kyle and the other female were very nice, patient and sympathetic to how their manager spoke to me. They both even apologized on her behalf (multiple times) as she stood in the back doing nothing. I was also here yesterday and had to deal with this nasty girl (caitlyn) but I let it go and brushed it off. Today was just the cherry on top.
