I had been going to clean mutts and puppy cuts religiously for years to get my dogs nails trimmed for the $6 deal. YEARS. They know my dog well and it had always been a great experience. I went in a couple weeks ago for the same thing and they not only doubled their prices but this time my dog was uncomfortable on the table and they couldn't trim any nails so after probably one minute of trying I said hey no worries I'll come back on Tuesday on my lunch break. We were about to walk out the door when the lady said oh no YOURE STILL GOING TO BE CHARGED FOR TODAYS VISIT. She didn't trim a single nail, my dog was on the table for less than a minute and we STILL got charged $11. Unbelievably horrible customer service and I will never be going back there. Petsmart does a wonderful job with my dogs nails. Don't waste your time at this place they don't care, they just want to make a quick buck. read more

Big fan of this place. My pup Bruno is short-haired, so no grooming, but I bring him monthly for a nail trim (one of his least favorite things to do). It's something they do as time allows (no appts), and they've always been accommodating and professional. And such an excellent value! read more

Our first experience was pretty good with our newly recused dog. They explained he was a bit nervous and barked while being left alone in a kennel, but assured us it was no big deal and that "overall he did a great job for his first time and is a big sweet guy" We tried scheduling him again for just a basic bath and blow dry and they came up with any excuse not to see him. We don't mind taking our business elsewhere but could really have gone without the disrespectful and condescending comments about our dog being an untrainable "humane society" dog. read more

Owners BEWARE!! Owner is toxic and against grooming any doodle unless you stick to her very frequent scheduling for visits and is beyond rude and frustrating about getting scheduled. It's her way or the highway and she puts you into a box of "doodle owners" full of assumptions, as she clearly has built a strong distrust and dislike for these clients and gaslights you to the point of no return and wastes your time. I've never written a yelp review before, but felt compelled to warn other dog owners. I stupidly listened to her "rules" two separate times about coming in before my appointment so she can check my dog out to make sure she's not matted and what a waste of my time! I've never been so frustrated and put through the run-around just to get my dog in for a bath! I do fully understand the frustrations she must have with the condition doodles come in with heavy matting and behavioral issues...but I am not that type of owner! She refused to give me and my dog a chance to prove her otherwise and my willingness to give her consistent business every 3 weeks. Every single time I've either gone in person or talk to her on the phone. I feel like I'm having to convince her prove myself as a responsible owner despite doing nothing wrong! Not sure why I allowed for it again after the first time. Owner is in the wrong business - First by needing to have business/people skills and second by grooming dogs. Would compare this situation to a dentist being annoyed that kids were coming in with cavities and needed to be filled....yes that's frustrating but it's part of the job and why people are paying you for your service... Instead of helping dogs who have been matted by taking them in, she refuses service "for their best interest" after waiting two weeks to get an appointment and leaves customers to have to now wait more time to get booked somewhere else... thank goodness my dog was not matted so we can afford to wait for availability elsewhere, but I feel bad for the dogs who are and left in my position who need it the day they schedule their service for because the owner will likely come up with a reason why you're "not a good fit" even with a perfectly good pup. Excuses excuses excuses..read other reviews like this and can attest I heard her talking to other clients and making up excuses for why their dog isn't perfect and what issues they have and why they're not a fit for her business outside of just doodles issues. Not sure grooming is her calling if she needs to pick and choose her clients when anxiety and behavioral differences are part of the job. Overall, there are plenty of other choices (with much better reviews!) in the area who I called and they were happy to have our business and get us in quickly. Do not take your dog here unless you like headaches, wasting your personal time, and not being treated like an individual! To the owner - my advice to you is to not refuse service to clients unless they have done something wrong. The world would be a better place if we stopped making assumptions about people we haven't even met. If an individual does wrong and you don't care to do business with them, perfectly acceptable.. but to do this to an innocent client is beyond frustrating. Edit: Reply to Owner - when I brought her in the first time and she had some matting so I had explained that we needed help because she had a bad experience at a Petco where the groomer left her to dry in a cage. If you own a doodle you know their coat must be blown out with a high velocity drier. This caused her to have residual matting for our first visit. This was not because my dog is normally matted or my fault from not brushing her. As you saw before our second visit, my dog had NO matting because the issue had been fixed the last visit (which was over 2 months ago!) and I had brought her in 2 month later completely matt free. She refused to see her unless I came in 2 weeks later again to kept from matting after I just proved I could keep her in good condition for 2 months and you wouldn't budge to 3 weeks which is the schedule I've had my dog on for the last 2.5 year without issues. We went somewhere else and are happy to report we found a new spot completely free of this nonsense. read more

We went in a couple of weeks ago and got someone to cut his nails that we have not had before. She was in a hurry, the place was a mess, cut dog hair all over the floor. She cut two of my dogs nails two short and they bled. She told us not to come back!!! What an attitude. Don't worry, we won't come back & I've already mentioned their attitude to a couple friends looking for a groomer. I have literally never left a review for anywhere in my life, but I'm feeling very thankful for the care my puppy (10.5 year old puppy) has received here and I want to share! Shaina was welcoming and gentle with my sweet Coco, who is still recovering from a mini surgery she had around her eye with some remaining stitches. I have always been very happy with their service and our dogs have been treated very nicely. However, I am very disappointed that they did not communicate to me about how often they need to see our German Shepherd and they are now refusing an appointment. I was never told that they must see him every 3 months or they would refuse service and now we are SOL. Great service provided but I feel disappointed that this was not communicated to me and their reasoning for the refusal went back and forth. Very sad to me that their inability to communicate has resulted in us looking for a new groomer. read more

This place is awful. Do not go here!! If you need a groomer look up Felicia in Bend!!!! I went to this place three times previously, and I stopped going because they BUTCHERED my yorkies haircut. I asked for them to trim her face, and they shaved her hair close to her skull. I was in a bind and needed a quick trim around her face again - so I said why not, let me try them again. Big mistake. I believe the lady I was talking to was the owner, awful customer service. She said she wouldn't take her unless she did a full haircut (which is comical because of course the full groom is more money). She also said she doesn't want to use the blowers on her because of her age. Lady, get real. I told her I don't want to cut her hair because it's cold outside. She had the audacity to try and tell ME what's best for my dog. And then she goes to add that I should try at home baths. HAHA lady, you're ridiculous, I bathe my yorkie multiple times a month!!! The audacity is unmatched!!! She is a joke!!!!! Not only do they do a poor job cutting hair but they're awful business owners. UPDATE: Shaina called me, the business owner, to "clear up a misunderstanding" - I told her calling me is actually making it worse. I told her that when i walked in she was rude off the bat, she didn't even say hi to me, and immediately declined service to my dog. I told her that I just got her groomed about 7 months ago (from another groomer since she butchers my dogs haircut) and have been bathing her ever since. She kept talking over me, at which point I told her to stop talking over me and let me finish. I informed her that over 25% of her reviews are 1 star, so she should probably take that into consideration about her rude customer service and poor business. She then hung up on me - like, you just proved my point of being rude by hanging up on me. Do not support this business. Shaina - in response to your comment. Please stop the act. I've posted my review on multiple platforms and have gotten similar negative feedback, so the issue seems to be within the business model and a lot of unhappy customers who have dealt with you personally. You knew how old my dog was before I even drove over to your salon, so again, stop making up things. There was no confusion on pricing. I guess you don't get the bottom line issue in my review - which is your customer service. People don't return to the salon... because of you. Stop telling me that you have MY pets interest in mind. Shaina groomed my miniature schnauzer for 13 years until he passed away; I would not have taken him to anyone else. She used to work in another business before she opened her own shop. Over the years his grooming needs changed and became very specific. She kept a card with all of my "do this," don't do that" instructions, which she always confirmed when I dropped him off. My nervous little dog loved Shaina and her crew. Everyone in that business was always extremely polite and accommodating. Shaina is incredibly knowledgeable on dog breeds and their individual grooming needs; it's amazing how much she knows. read more

I waited 3 mos to get an appointment. The owner, who had previously groomed my Cavalier nicely, refused to accomodate my requests, which were very similar to his first grooming with her. While she claims to be a groomer with over 20 years experience she stated she would not accommodate my requests this time around. She was extremely rude and intolerant. I don't know why this place has gotten terrible reviews but it is the only place I will take my miniature schnauzer to be groomed. I've worked with two groomers there and each has done an exceptional job. They greet my schnauzer, Barnabe, by name at the door and make sure he feels comfortable in the environment. They even let him play with other dogs who may be waiting to be groomed or picked up rather than stuffing him in a tiny kennel. I always just instruct them to do a standard schnauzer cut and it turns out perfect each time. My dog has come back with scratches and nicks from the grooming equipment at other places, but never from here! The price is also very reasonable compared to other groomers I've visited. Unfortunately he disliked their attempt to cut his nails sufficiently for them to stop the service - which I totally understand and appreciate them trying. What I don't appreciate is that then the groomer went on to tell me she believed my dog to be mentally ill. W.T.F. Lady! I think she meant well in some warped way, but this is just rude (and also untrue), I didn't know that after a minute trimming a dog's nails you become an animal pyschologist. Considerable time was put in to ensuring she understood the 'look' he was going for. While gone, a follow up call was made by the groomer double checking on the cut information. When we picked him up he was quite the stud! He might put terrorizing on the back burner and go for modeling. This is the only place in Oregon I would take my dogs to. I'm extremely picky w/ who works on my 4 dogs. I have 3 elderly Golden's and one GSD who hates other dogs. Buddy's a handful, but he is an angel with them, and has no dog aggression there. They always have taken exceptional care of all of my dogs. All four of them never hesitate when I drop them off there and they are always completely dry (that's a biggie to me) and beautifully groomed. When I pick them up they are happy, not fearful. If I could give it ZERO star I would. This place has HORRIBLE customer service and the owner is extremely rude to her clients. It's sad to see how she treats her staff and clients through yelling, disrespect, and not finishing a grooming service. She will charge the full amount but if you show up 4 mins early to pick up your pups she will stop and NOT finish. Who does that? My mother went to take our two pups in and she Arrived 4 mins early Because the owner, Shayna told her to be there by 2:45pm. When she arrived there Shayna told her "you came early and I'm not going to finish your dog" and stormed out of the room. My mom was shocked and didn't know what to do. I called and they "didn't know" how much a wash would be. I brought my dog in for a "consultation" we agreed on a price and I filled out the paperwork. After leaving and driving across town they called saying they didn't want to stress my dog out and I needed to come get "her" and they wrong name. My favorite place to take my doggies! I have two corgi's, one of whom is a major drama queen and hates everything to do with getting groomed. He especially hates his backside being touched, which unfortunately is his most unruly area (he has a bit of Mini Aussie in him.) With Shaina, he has a great experience. He loves playing with her little pug while waiting, and always ends up looking GORGEOUS by the end of it! My other corgi is very shy, but doesn't mind going in, and always gives Shaina a kiss by the end of it. Not only that, but the price is incredible! We had taken our little Yorkie Penny here twice before and had been very pleased and tipped very nicely. The third time was a whole different experience. My daughter was in the hospital but we had waited three weeks for this appointment and she needed a cut badly. My husband took Penny in while I stayed at the hospital with our sick daughter. Three hours later we got the call to come pick Penny up. I explained to Shaina the owner that we were in the hospital with our daughter and I would be there as soon as I could she said that was just fine. I got there about a half hour later and Penny was shaking and barking because she was so excited to see me. A guy I had never seen before got her from the kennel and handed her to me. Shaina came over to check us out and mentioned to me that she had nicked Penny under her arm pit that it wasn't a big deal and these things happen sometimes. I went to look expecting what she said a nick to a quarter size chunk taken out of my dogs chest. She said as long as we put ointment in it that it would heal just fine. I was very upset but was so emotionally drained and tired from my daughter being so sick In the hospital. She said she would take five dollars off the cut I paid her and went on my way. A week later penny started scratching and biting uncontrollably. I thought maybe she had dry skin from the cut or had a reaction to the shampoo they use. Close to another week went by and she was still itching terribly. I went to get her some anti itch shampoo to use and as I was drying her noticed little bugs on her skin. I freaked out and called the vet. They got her in right away and my poor puppy had lice yuck! Penny hadn't been around any dogs for months and we had just moved into a new construction house. The only place she could have gotten the lice from was the groomer. The vet said that that can happen especially if they use dirty tools. I called Clean Mutts and Puppy Cuts right away to let them know just to be shrugged off again. Not only was I extremely upset about my puppy bring hurt so badly, but that she failed to let me know when she first called me to let me know Penny was all ready to be picked up. How could someone care so little? I can't imagine what it would have felt like to have such a huge chunk taken from my skin. I should have never paid for the cut either. We are still washing her with lice wash a month later to make sure her lice are gone. I don't recommend this groomer to anyone and we will most certainly never be going back. read more

I arrived at 3:00 pm not knowing that this is their closing time on Fridays. I take responsibility for that- however their neon "open" sign was fully illuminated when I walked in. All I wanted was a simple drop in nail clip which takes about 5 minutes. I came in and the owner asks, "what can we do for you today?" I said, I'd like a nail clip for my beagle. She says, "sorry, we are closed." I told her that I had driven across town, but there was no budging. My reaction to this as I was driving home was twofold: 1) If you are closed, then why in the world ask what you can do for me? 2) Considering that it would not have taken more than five minutes to do the clip, and that I was obviously unaware of the early closing time, perhaps the better customer service decision would have been to turn off the open sign to prevent other customers from coming in, take the dog, and do the clip. Instead she sent me home with no clip. A wasted trip. read more

I waited several weeks for an appointment. On the day of the appointment, one hour before, I got a call from the owner indicating that they had to reschedule. The only time they had conflicted with my work and I would have had to wait another couple of weeks for another appointment. When I suggested that maybe a groomer could work an hour later the owner's reply was "that's not going to happen". There has been very few times in my life that an owner hasn't tried to do the right thing and her attitude really sucked big time. The shop itself is always clean and I like the open feeling of the place. You can see everything that's going on and the dogs who are waiting to be picked up have plenty of room to run around.
