It was still under warranty, but it took me weeks of texts, emails, and phone calls, before Pentair finally sent a local company out to look at the pump. Cody, from Pine Ridge Pool Care, Inc came out to look at it. He immediately noticed the issue. Pentair company had installed a refurbished unit that looked like it didn't go through inspection. Cody said he'll check with them before sending the parts that works. The 'drive' was ordered the following week, and Jonathan from Pine Ridge Pool Care came out to change the broken drive. I appreciate the attention and I also appreciate the Yelp. Apparently, nobody will return your calls unless you put some reviews on Yelp. However, I wish the owner of Emerald pool would have better communications. The team went through a 110-volt line in the backyard during the project. I begged him many times to at least find the problem. Finally, two electricians spent 8 hours and 2000$ to solve the problem.

Seemed like a good person when we hired him, but later showed his true colors. Our pool has been done for a month now, and he still hasn't shown us how to work the equipment, which was in our contract. His sub contractors did sub par work, didn't care about their craftsmanship, just wanted to get paid quick. I would highly recommend going with a different company to build your pool. It is an important purchase, and don't trust these guys!

Attached is a picture of how our pool looked BEFORE their service. Next follows AFTER we took on their service. You can clearly see they did not maintain our pool well and did not provide us with any communication whatsoever. On top of that, they still want to charge us FULL price for their service even though, clearly they did not fulfill their duties. Our pool is now green and developing black algae. We had to hire someone else for this diagnosis because we have 2 children under the age of 4 who cannot enjoy a swim during this heat we have been having in the Central Valley. Their pool technician goes out every week to service the pool, how can our pool be turning green and how can they fail to communicate with us about why this may be happening? There seems to be no form of customer value or satisfaction within their company. I wish we could resolve this issue, but they did not bother to ask us why we no longer wanted their services, they were quick to collect a payment from us, rather than showing us that they care about having us as their customers. My pool pump was making a loud electrical noise every time it was running, although it seemed to be…read moreworking fine. I googled the problem and found videos that it could be a problem with the capacitor (ordered one online but it wasn't the capacitor), debris in the impeller (cleaned out impeller but it wasn't that either), or loose bearings (requires special tool and labor intensive to replace). Of course loose bearings was my problem (not any of the other easier to fix issues). I googled pool stores in Fresno or Clovis and came across Pool Mart and read all the good reviews. I called Chris and explained my problem and he knew right away it was the bearings. He was a great listener; since I said I had cleaned the impeller he figured I knew how to take the motor apart. He said he could fix it for $100 with a one day turn around time (or $125 labor if he has to come out). I brought it in the next day and sure enough he called me the following day saying it was fixed. Pool pump is now reinstalled and purring like a charm. While I was there to pick up my pump, Chris also answered my other pool questions around how to turn which drains on/off and fixed my leaky fountain cap for free. A few days later I called Chris for advice about my friend's neglected pool. He gave me some great advice about getting mosquito fish so I did. Now the Consolidated Mosquito Abatement District is happy and off our backs. Unfortunately for Chris, he will now be my go to person for all pool related issues.
