We deeply wished we could leave a good review for this company that was recommended to us. However, 1 star cannot fully express how disappointed we are. Attached is a picture of how our pool looked BEFORE their service. Next follows AFTER we took on their service. You can clearly see they did not maintain our pool well and did not provide us with any communication whatsoever. On top of that, they still want to charge us FULL price for their service even though, clearly they did not fulfill their duties. Our pool is now green and developing black algae. We had to hire someone else for this diagnosis because we have 2 children under the age of 4 who cannot enjoy a swim during this heat we have been having in the Central Valley. Their pool technician goes out every week to service the pool, how can our pool be turning green and how can they fail to communicate with us about why this may be happening? There seems to be no form of customer value or satisfaction within their company. I wish we could resolve this issue, but they did not bother to ask us why we no longer wanted their services, they were quick to collect a payment from us, rather than showing us that they care about having us as their customers. I had really high hopes with this company because of the positive reviews. Unfortunately, they overpromise and underdeliver. My project was delayed 2+ weeks due to their constant rescheduling. I recently emailed them explaining my frustrations and all they did in response was continue postpone our project. They demoed our pool earlier this month and it's been sitting empty and untouched for the better half of the month. I wasted my time following up and waiting for a response from Jacob and Lauren. If I managed to reach the "office" (which is a cell number by the way), Lauren would be so rude and seemed irritated/inconvenienced that I called. She never had an answer to any of my questions. She will promise to follow up but hardly ever would. If she did, it was via email so she wouldn't have to actually talk to us. Jacob never answered calls but will text you when convenient and then ghost you when you're discussing timelines and money. Their crew spent a total of maybe 5 hours working on our project in the 3+ weeks we were working with them. The new vendor that I hired has to do further prep for the pool because it's not close to being ready for plaster. Jacob was going to do plaster as his next step despite us openly questioning his method. I feel bad leaving a negative review because Jacob and Lauren are clearly inexperienced. Perhaps they know the basics of running a business, but it's obvious that customer relations and timeline urgency isn't important to them. Really frustrating working with this pool company. I'm not sure how the other positive reviews could be true. I went on yelp and searched for a pool company to have the pool serviced regularly by a professional. The owner for pool plus was very prompt at responding me with their monthly fee of $100 quote. We made a mistake on letting previous tenants to maintain their own pool. We paid pool plus $860 for the initial cleanup, which $260 was for replacing 4 filters. We liked what we were told how they'd drain the water to clean the pool. We felt good about it since the yelp reviews were good. We did think it was pricy but thought it'd be worth it since we agreed the pool was in pretty bad condition. The price was what we agreed on and we happily paid it. For the following month and half, we texted constantly about pool still being dirty each time we were at the house and asked them to please have the technician send pictures showing after the pool's being cleaned. The technician asked us to fill up the pool to a certain level since each time they were there, it was not enough time to fill it to the level it needed to be in order for the vacuum to work. We followed as instructed, then we learned the pool fill faucet was leaking. I guess they had no responsibility to let us know. No problem. We hired a handyman to repair it and got to the water level they asked. Still the pool was unclear and dirty each time we went to the house. After numerous complaints, the pool was finally sort of cleaned right before the new tenant moved in. We were told that then technician will be coming weekly. Just now the tenant told me he hasn't seen the pool technician and asked how often is the technician supposed to come? I texted pool plus and they said they thought I only wanted the cleaning until June. Wow, I called from the start that I needed a pool company to service the pool regularly and we will cover the initial expense and asked them to bill the tenant each month. They decided to drop the ball without giving me a headsup and letting go the pool once again. It's all fine. We will take our business elsewhere and share our unpleasant experience with everyone. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS. We got scammed! My pool was really bad because we had neglected it for awhile. Came on yelp and contacted a few pool services. Jacob responded and came out to look at my pool. He gave me a quote and we accepted. It was a headache trying to get them out to finish the job. I understand they're running a business and may have a lot of other clients, but if I didn't contact them, they would never come to do their job. Especially after asking for the full payment upfront before they finished! We paid and they never came back to finish the job. Curtis vacuumed the dirty algae all onto the sidewalk next to our pool and just left it there. After weeks of him lying that he was on his way or he will come "tomorrow," we got frustrated and just completed the job ourselves. We basically just did 80% of the work to get our pool up ourselves.
