My son isn't nervous or scared, in fact I'm pretty sure he likes going, and that is all due to the wonderful staff. Appointments are always on time and Dr Mensing takes time after each one to personally talk to me about the appointment and answer any questions. I also really like the email confirmations that they send out a day or two in advance - there have been a couple times that I've forgotten to put the appointment on the calendar and I would have missed the appointment otherwise! The building is nice and always really clean. They have a good assortment of children's books and things to keep the kids busy, adult magazines, and a big fish tank in the waiting area. He examined me, took x rays and saw that my tooth was infected and needed to come out immediately. He got me in the next day even though it was his day off, along with his assistant who had the day off also. He performed a root canal and I was in and out in two hours. This was compounded by my medical condition which included chemo therapy. Dr. Hansen even contacted my Hematologist at Mayo Clinic to let him know that this procedure was not invasive and the risk of infection was zero. Dr. Hansen and his assistant went above and beyond on this particular day. He saved me from a great deal of pain and possible complications because of my medical condition. I gave him ONE last shot by calling when my teeth where in major pain, his suggestion, knowing my allergies to NSAIDS for years now; take Tylenol/NSAID, as you can alternate since they work differently. I KNOW that, I have a LOT of medical knowledge growing up with a PA, nurses, etc...I also was a tech, trained med coder, UC & have had near 10 surgeries, so I do know quite a bit.
