Although I'm intrigued by it I've never been to a place that offers cosmetic surgery procedures, so I was a little nervy entering Clearskincare. But all my worries were quickly pushed aside. The consultants here are just wonderful. At nearly 30 years of age and still suffering from pimples and some scarring, I wanted to know if there was anything non invasive I could do to help repair some of the damage. Not wanting to spend too much on a treatment or procedure, I explained my needs to the nurse. Although the acne scarring procedure could have been pushed on me (more expensive and more treatments required), the nurse assured me she didn't think I needed that treatment in particular to make a difference, and instead offered me a Microdermabrasion & Vitamin Infusion facial for about 1/3 of the price. I have to say the results have been long lasting and quite effective; scarring, tissue damage and even my faint lines have been reduced, some even gone altogether. I also got a spray tan here for the Cox Plate, and the only comments I received were from people asking when I got back from hols, which meant it looked natural and un-Oompa Loompa like! And even my mum, who won't even book in for a massage came along with me to have a laser treatment on some leg veins; the results are astonishing!! I had my first treatment there today and really happy with the results. I had a microdermabrasion (diamond) with Vitamin A infusion for $130. Very professional, clinical environment. Rooms are clean and comfortable. If you like a day spa environment then this is not for you. Ask for Aprille - she was my beautician. Really lovely demeanor. Other than a product recommendation for my concern about my freckles she did not push to sell any products to me. I'll be keen to consult with her again. I chose this place for a facial and was really disappointed. I moved here from the U.S. about a month ago, and after the familiarity of seeing my same beloved aesthetician in Miami for the past couple of years, I was hesitant to go to a stranger. I have extremely sensitive/allergy-prone skin so I thought this place would be great, since they apparently specialize in treating people with various skin conditions. I asked a ton of questions before proceeding with the treatment to make sure I knew exactly what I was getting into. Apparently, they don't offer "facials," in the sense that I am familiar with, with extractions, etc. They convinced me to purchase a chemical peel and light treatment. The treatment itself took place in a very plain, small and bare room. Not comfortable. Not relaxing. Freezing cold. I had to ask for a blanket. They piped in some "relaxing" music through the speaker on the wall, but the noise of kids screaming from the mall outside did not make for a relaxing atmosphere. The "peel" and mask did absolutely nothing for my skin. It was like I never had a treatment at all. Perhaps the biggest waste of $80 I have ever spent. read more
