The person at the desk had zero eye contact with me. Not personable at all. I went into the examination room where a gentleman took the initial assessment and was more like a robot than a human being. Took a swab of my throat, from my side, not in view for him at all. Came back negative. That was a useless waste of time and money since he didn't hit was was hurting at all. The NP came in after, who was very nice and did another swab to be sent out. She offered to do another in office swab for immediate testing and I said no since the 2nd one is going out for the same test. After the 3rd day, I still hadn't heard any results. I called, was put on hold with a call back within 5 minutes...still waiting... The worst experience except for the NP but without results, what difference does that make? read more

I came in with severe poison ivy on my arm, blisters and puss, and it had spread to my face and extremities. I was prescribed 40 mg of prednisone for 3 days. I still had the poison ivy a week later and went to my PCP who told me the correct course is to take predisone for 14 to 21 days to taper the poison. She prescribed 40 mg prednisone for 5 days, 20 mg prednisone for 5 more days, and then 10mg for 5 days - 15 days minimum to remediate. When I called to inform ClearChoice of the doctor's mistake, I was told predisone was just a comfort medicine and I should have come back in for more treatment. There was no acknowledgement of the doctor's mistake. Never again! read more

My family had a very concerning experience at this location. My mother in law a 67-year-old woman came in with what was clearly a broken arm and was in significant pain. Because of the injury she could not physically fill out the intake paperwork, and staff would not assist her or allow her to be seen unless she completed it herself. During the interaction, a nurse handled the injured arm in a way that caused her severe pain while she was already crying. No pain relief was offered. When my husband tried to advocate for the patient so she could receive care, the situation escalated and the police were called and he was asked to leave. We ultimately had to seek care elsewhere. Urgent care centers are meant to help people when they are hurt and vulnerable, and this experience was extremely disappointing. I hope the clinic reviews this incident and improves how injured and elderly patients are treated. Do better ... and Yes she should have gone directly to the emergency room, this was the closest location and she picked where she went. read more

Went in because of throat pain, with a confirmed case of strep already in my household. Was swabbed incorrectly (only one side/not the side I was experiencing pain on) which came back negative. Requested a new swab when the doctor came in 20 min later seemingly in a rush, that test came back positive. Went back a week later while still on antibiotics because the throat pain came back. Was left in the room for about 30 min when the place was not busy at all, and when the doctor came in he was instantly incredibly dismissive and once again, seemingly in a rush. Took about a 1 second look at my throat and chalked it up to allergies. No re-test, no discussion, just in and out in under 2 minutes total, didn't even hear what I had to say about my symptoms. I went to this urgent care center due to the positive reviews on line. My insurance was not accepted and I was asked to pay for my visit which I did. Unfortunately I requested a signature on my insurance claim form so I could submit my claim. I have been told I need to wait 30-45 days for the center to submit my claim to my insurance company. I believe this is a poor business policy since I paid for my visit immediately and prior to being seen by the PA. read more

Avoid this place if at all possible. Was given ear drops for ear infection which not only didn't help but was much worse following morning. I called them back when they opened and explained situation and asked if I could get a scrip for an oral antibiotic. Was told I have to come back in and go through the whole process again, including paying in full again. That wasn't going to happen so went to VA, got a scrip for amoxicillin. One hour later pain had already lightened way up. The reason supposedly for having to go back in was because there might be a different Dr and wouldn't know my case. It was last minute but I needed to be seen by my Dr., however I knew that going to ClearChoice would be a faster. Hopefully. I called at 5:30 and the person on the phone was able to get me in by 6:15! That's amazing!!! Upon walking in the doors and up to the front desk a gentleman (Andreas),hope I spelled that correctly but he welcomed me in and asked if I have an appointment. I said yes and immediately he began helping check me in. He helped with my registration because I couldn't get it to work. He was kind, professional and patient. Was told via phone that they take patients till 8pm. Woman told me even if I show up at 7:59 they would take me. I showed up at 7:55 on Thursday January 25th. I realize it was extremely last minute. Door was locked upon arrival. Woman at the desk saw me, ducked down, then proceeded to walk out back making every attempt to not make eye contact. It's even printed on the door that they are open until 8pm. I understand times are tough right now with staffing issues. I'm not sure if this was the problem. Don't go this walk in! There are much more reputable ones. This walk in takes credit card information and charges you money with no warning. I have never had this type of experience with any other medical provider. I specifically asked them if they could call or email and without ANY WARNING at all they just take money from your credit card. (Months after the appointment) Please be careful going here, they don't care about their clients at all and will take your money without so much as giving you courtesy call, email, letter. I scheduled my appt online. I walked in for my scheduled appointment time and was greeted by a not so friendly receptionist. (Who by the way after she checked me and another lady in was on the phone talking to a friend or whoever wasn't really interested in hearing her conversation! I waited a few minutes not too long and was called in by the Medical Assistant who was very nice. She did my vitals and said the provider would be in soon. When the ARNP came in and I described my issues (shoulder/chest wall pain) she seemed hurried and not really empathetic at all almost condescending, at that point I was going to get up and leave which I should have. She asked if I wanted to do an EKG and I declined because I really just wanted to GET OUT of there. I am sure as she left the room, she rolled her eyes at the staff as I heard someone say in the background it's that kind of day. (Some laughter). I've gone there before and loved the provider of course it wasn't the same one. She then sent in someone to hand me a paper telling me to go to the ER as she couldn't assess my issue. I have been here several times through out the last couple years more recently with Covid testing. The other times were wonderful experiences everyone was so nice and caring. Today, was different. The Doctor I saw was extremely RUDE to me, basically made me feel like a liar, obviously she wasn't really listening to anything I had to say and when I tried to correct her she told me that's not what I said and it was all in her notes. I was pissed to say the lease. No doctor should ever make a patient feel that way! I won't be returning for she made me cry at both visits today one with my daughter and one with my son! Round 2: Thought I would give them a second try. Total fail. I called in advance to ask what the cost would be for a strep throat test and doctor visit. They refused to give me the medical billing record number saying they don't know it. Accounting said they don't have it and can't give it until after you visit and see a doctor. This is a healthcare scam. How can you expect to be a good medical provider without transparency? The last thing we need is doctors loosely sending the insurance company a massive bill without telling the patient what they plan to bill. Then the patient gets a giant bill without any knowledge as to why. We should be able to shop our healthcare costs by simply getting medical billing record numbers from the urgent care provider, to quote with your own insurance company, before deciding to use that urgent care. read more

Someone came out and checked me in and said they were running behind 30-45min. and would call me when I could come in. At 5pm, they called and asked questions that I had already answered online then said they would call when I could go in. They never called so I stood outside the door. Finally, the let me in and put me in a room where I waited for the test. Dr/nurse came in and took my vitals then gave me the test then told me I had to wait for the np to come in and go over things with me. The wait was 2 1/2 hours, but that isn't my issue. The doctor I saw was nice and knowledgeable, also not an issue. My issue is that when I went, I was willing to pay for my visit up front ($100 plus extra for any tests), but I was told because I have insurance that they would send it out to my insurance. Now I have a deductible that must be satisfied before my insurance covers anything. That being said, these thieves sent to my insurance $449.00 in charges and after what my insurance approves they are charging me $254.14 for a 15 minute visit and a flu test, which should have been $125. What a rip off. The thing that really gets me is I tried to pay right then and there and they insisted to send to my insurance. This is one of the many problems with our healthcare system! read more

The lovely woman at the front desk was very friendly, the paramedic (I think that's what the refer to themselves as) listened to me and didn't make me feel rushed, and the doctor made sure to explain to me what he was seeing during the exam and why he was giving me the diagnosis he did. The doctors and staff are super friendly and great with kids (especially Dr. Shroeter).
