Clearlake animal Hospital is fantastic. I took my dog Sweet Pea here today (February 2026) for her ears because they were hurting her. I was seen by Dr. McCormick. It turns out Sweet Pea had an ear infection (a yeast infection in her ears). They cleaned out her ears and she was given ear drops to take home. The entire visit cost me $141.64. That was for the visit ($60), the ear cytology ($42), and Sweet Pea prescription ear drops ($39.64). This is such an affordable animal hospital for the area of Brevard County. I'm truly blessed to have Dr. McCormick and Clearlake Animal Hospital. read more

Dr. McCormick has been our vet for over five years, and I cannot understand the negative reviews. She has always been respectful of cost and given my animals the best care - so much so that I still drive from Orlando to Cocoa for my pets' care. She is compassionate, never rushes you, and explains things thoroughly - one of the best. Dr. McCormick is never pushy. She has even told me not to have some tests done that weren't necessary. That is the opposite of what you will find in Orlando! The prices are more than fair - I spend a fraction at Clearlake versus Orlando. The entire staff is so helpful and kind, and they genuinely care for your animals. I couldn't ask for a better vet office! read more

I can't say enough about DV McCormick she has been taking care of my fur children for over a year now. I use to go to the SPCA and honestly I would rather go here. She is honest about everything and goes over everything with you. Her candor is something I value even when it's about the quality of life with your animal. She is compassionate and cares about her patients and family. Her staff goes above and beyond and is always so professional and caring as well. Ignore the negative reviews Dr. McCormick is great. I've taken 4 of my animals there and she has taken great care of them. Sadly one of my animals is very I'll and she referred us to a specialist who after extensive testing confirmed Dr. McCormicks diagnosis. She always takes the time to call and go over test results and how they are doing. I highly recommend Clearlake Animal Hospital, Dr. McCormick and her staff. read more

Clearlake Animal Hospital doesn't care about the animals only their rules to make money. Me and my wife have been going there for at least thirty years, but they have changed for the worst. I wasn't able to make our annual checkup on time. when I called to make an appointment, I was told it would be in a week and I could not have any medication until then. when I asked them why because my human doctor would send in a prescription so I would not suffer. They told me if I didn't like the care, I was given I can go somewhere else. I call back later that day to find out my appointment was canceled without any notification. I then got mad and said I should have sued them for killing my cat. they seen our cat and said it was fine it died two days later. So you can see they do not care about the animals and they do not know what they are doing. read more

Called this morning to get an appointment for my cat Bootstrap, they were able to get us an appointment for today at 2pm. We went, and the staff was friendly and the place is really nice inside. They were able to treat our cat quickly and now hes already back home with us. They are also incredibly affordable as well. We will definitely stick with them for our other animals as well. read more

******DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE****** I am emotionally traumatized by the malpractice done on the behalf of this hospital on my pet. Pet owners do yourselves a favor and go elsewhere, if your pet is your baby like mine is, you will not put them through the torture that mine endured. My boyfriend and I brought our dog here for a neuter procedure on 11/12, a few days later his scrotum was immensely swollen and was colored purpled and blue, they said it was normal, I continued to tell them that his scrotum bursted and started to bleed. They were very unprofessional and stated they had know idea what went on and claimed they had no part or involvement in the issues that continued to happen with the procedure they performed on my dog. I was so worried I just wanted him to be okay and not feel the pain he was going through, my dog was crying nonstop throughout the night, my entire household was completely devastated and stayed up trying to comfort him. I asked them multiple times to please fix what they did wrong and they refused to adhere, they also refused to take the stitches out and told us we were never welcomed back after we lashed out for them not taking responsibility for the actions done on their part. I'm extremely worried about my dog, I spent about $400 on this malpractice and they won't refund me my money or fix the procedure. I'm completely heartbroken by what has happened to my dog, my dog never took his cone off, and we followed every instruction given to us. I've had my previous dogs neutered and never went through this. My dog can't sit, has trouble walking and was shaking for a couple hours before he finally fell asleep crying. I spent about $800 in total with the malpractice procedure and emergency care on a 24hr pet clinic to stop his bleeding. They hung up on me multiple times, we TRIED to have a civil conversation but they refused to take any part and didn't allow us to finish. I am at a loss for words and I believe that we should treat animals as our equals, the fact that they can't speak doesn't given vets the excuse to abuse them so poorly when we put our trust in their hands. read more

We've been taking our pets here for more over fifty years, but no more. The legacy left by Dr Braxton and Dr Holt has been destroyed by these amateurs. They tried to make it more "professional" but really just destroyed the "town vet" character of the business and made it difficult and more expensive for clients. The focus now is clearly on "churning" visits and peddling stuff. Vets are incompetent and are solely about the "business" of pet care. Making money is fine, but give me a break. There has to be value so it's a win-win. These people care nothing about me or my pet as long as they can ring their register. Relationship toasted. Numerous other local friends have had the same experience and have gone elsewhere as well. Hopefully they will go out of biz soon so people who actually care about animals can take over. read more
