It turns out Sweet Pea had an ear infection (a yeast infection in her ears). They cleaned out her ears and she was given ear drops to take home. The entire visit cost me $141.64. That was for the visit ($60), the ear cytology ($42), and Sweet Pea prescription ear drops ($39.64). This is such an affordable animal hospital for the area of Brevard County. I'm truly blessed to have Dr. McCormick and Clearlake Animal Hospital.

Luckily, it was nothing major and she got a clean bill of health but we did get her a shot for allergies and a new product by Zoetis that is a shot for heart worms that last for 12 months. Really excited to learn about this because Elphie does not like to take pills. Dr. Francine Postiglione (Dr. Fran) was incredibly nice. She also did her best to ensure we got the best treatment within our budget and that is always a plus. She offered us multiple options. She also sent home a sample of dog food for us to try and wrote down names and websites of places for us to look for homemade food cooking classes and supplements since Elphie is so picky. The technician/animal nurse was also really sweet and handled Elphie with extra care. The ladies up front were also very nice! I hope I saw her name correctly but I think it may have been Elizabeth who took care of us. She was great! She went to extra trouble to ensure that we got the info for a rebate that was available on the heart worm treatment. We would have never known if she hadn't found the info and told us about it. The clinic looks brand new! Really clean and they weren't overbooked. Steady flow of pet parents but we didn't wait at all. We went straight back and Dr. Fran reviewed our records and cane straight in to see us. I bet we were only there a total of 45 mins and we had to wait 15 on a test they ran. If you live in this area, I would highly recommend this clinic for your pets!
