I recently went hunting with this outfit. Very poorly run. if you are looking for good accommodations and good food, they have that. The hunting on the other hand is questionable at best. I arrived on Friday, hunting started the next day. I met with the owner and a few other employees, paid my remaining fees. I was shown to my "stand" and to where I would be staying by a 16 year old "guide". I was staying in an air B and B with two fellow hunters. we saw very few deer, one guy saw absolutely nothing the whole trip. There was nothing done extra to help in upping the chances of harvesting a deer. I could write a long story about what should have been done, but I will refrain. I will just says that I asked to change stands on the third day. The owner was out hunting himself. While he had 28 hunters who had paid to hunt. He had another guy show me to a different stand. I never saw the outfitter again after he was paid, I only saw the one guide to show me to a second stand. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for a place to hunt. read more

My 2023 muzzy hunt at Clearwater County Outfitters was the third season I had hunted there. Owner Chad and my guide Tyler couldn't of been more accommodating or helpful on my hunt. They clearly were focused on giving me a great experience and an opportunity to harvest a deer. The blinds are comfortable and warm, and particularly when it's cold and windy(as it was for me), allows you to focus on the hunt, instead of the cold. The first morning a cow elk showed up about 150 yards from my blind. What a thrill! Because of the swirling winds that limited buck movement, I chose to take a doe on day four of my hunt. As it was my first muzzy deer, I was thrilled! The help I received by Tyler in retrieving my deer was much appreciated for this older hunter. Restaurant quality food, great lodging and a memorable experience adds up to me and my son planning on hunting at Clearwater County Outfitters again in 2024. Thanks guys for a great time!
