There's a cafe attached to the hotel with very good home-cooked meals. Much of what they serve is house-made (fresh home-made bread for your morning's toast). Food can be a bit slow to come out of the kitchen when they're busy, but it's worth the wait, and it's not crazy-long, just a bit long.

Kitchen has most things. No stove but they have an induction burner and a nice bbq outside so we cooked up our own meals there. They have a wood fired pizza oven at the other side of the property but that only goes on the weekends I think. They have kayaks we were able to use so it was nice paddling around the lake. We had our coffee on the private dock each morning and enjoy watching the ducks swim by. Saw a few fish jumping out there so I would suggest bringing up a fishing rod.

The accommodations are hard to confuse with the Four Seasons, and the food isn't meant to tease the palette. Instead, you get what you need on both fronts, and the focus is on fishing, fishing, and more fishing. There are dozens of lakes to choose from in the area, each with its own peculiarities. My father's been coming here now for years and loves every trip. Recommended.
