I had a bad experience at Cleburne Shipping Company and I want to inform the community what to expect when using this company. Don't expect a refund or a discussion of a refund to plead your case when they don't fulfill a service. I went to Cleburne Shipping Company to FedEx overnight a really expensive check from Cleburne to Ohio that cost $120.99 but to mail the check back overnight from Ohio back to Cleburne we had to pre-fill out an overnight envelope and include it with the envelope we were sending to Ohio. Before I took the check to be mailed to Cleburne Shipping Company, I spoke with the company I was mailing it to and they were clear on the instructions that the company's name and address had to be on the "from" area and my name and address had to be on the "to" area. I confirmed with the employee with Cleburne Shipping Company by showing the address from the company and told the employee exactly that. I told the employee that if they didn't have the right address they weren't going to send it back to me FedEx and they would send it USPS instead and I wanted to avoid that. They told me it was accurate and didn't show me the address before they sealed it in the envelope being mailed to Ohio. I paid $83.66 for that envelope for the company to overnight it back to me after they endorsed the check. This check was a time sensitive deposit. The check didn't come overnight and was instead sent back to me USPS 10 days later. I called the company and asked what happened and they told me it was because Cleburne Shipping Company put their name and address in the "from" area of the envelope when it should've been the company in Ohio. I absolutely showed the employee with Cleburne Shipping Company the address that was to go in the "from" area before hand and they had the address in front of them and entered it into their computer. The check is still delayed/late because of their mistake they did not confirm the address when they told me they did at the counter and they sealed the envelope before I could confirm the address. I went back to Cleburne Shipping Company to politely explain what happened and asked for $83.66 back in return because it was their error they made. I was told by the employee at the front and they would talk to the owner about the refund over the weekend. I received a fair amount of time phone call back from the employee telling me they did nothing wrong and I didn't provide their address from the company in Ohio when I most definitely did. I told the employee they were incorrect and it was their error. I was told they would talk to the owner again. I received a voicemail from the owner telling me they will not refund the $83.66 because the labels were already created (even though it was their error). I would understand if it was my error or I didn't give them the address but they put Cleburne Shipping Company's address in the "from" area. The company in Ohio wanted their address in the "from" area. It was a $83.66 waste of money. Word of advice, just go to FedEx to send your mail....just cut out Cleburne Shipping Company all together. Don't waste your money here. They won't own their error. The $120 envelope made it there fine but I paid $83.66 for Cleburne Shipping Company to incorrectly enter an address on the return envelope that was unused due to their error. What service did they actually provide? I'm never going back to them to mail anything. Better to just take it to FedEx instead. read more
