We had seen a family physician who prescribed antibiotic ointment, which got the angry, oozing, painful, purple thing under control, and shrunk it a lot, but it didn't go away. The physician hardly even looked at it, and didn't seem to know anything about it or what it was. Not so with Dr. Cleveland! He was very interested in hearing my story, was not turned off by the fact that I had done some internet research, and even suggested where to look for more info. He diagnosed the condition quickly and informed me that many times other physicians are unfamiliar with skin conditions that they seemingly should be familiar with. We learned that the condition would not necessarily clear up on its own, and thus performed a quick office procedure right there to clean the gunk out which threatened to fester. Daughter's ear healed very well and the problem has not come back. His staff was very friendly and considerate. For any skin condition you are having a problem with, I highly recommend Dr. Cleveland. Also, they will not reschedule you for procedures if they can do it there that day. That's a huge plus! They see patients in Fort Madison once a week, but their regular clinic is in Burlington, Iowa. It will take 2 or 3 weeks to get on their schedule, but that's not bad for a dermatologist these days.

They have no problem being rude and arguing with patients/people despite having no part and knowledge in your care. They also enjoy hanging up on patients/people when they don't want to deal with you anymore even if you've been nothing but respectful. The doctors will terminate you as a patient immediately for not being available when they want you to be available even when you've been very clear about your availability. Along with cancelling appointments without any type of notice whatsoever...wasting your time, money, and gas if you don't live close. Although the termination letter clearly states the termination is 30 days from the date on the letter they will not honor that at all. Also a warning...whoever handles the mail will change addresses as well so the mail isn't sent to the correct address. On top of all that mess, they WILL withhold your own lab results from you. Overall this company doesn't know how to handle nor treat patients/people very well. They need new staff or the staff needs serious training to hopefully be better for returning/future patients. Nobody should have to deal with so many issues and so much disrespect just trying to get care. Look elsewhere if possible, there ARE better options and better treatment than what u get here.

Yesterday I called to see if I could bring my daughter to my appt today due to a babysitter falling they and the girl on the other line said it wouldn't be an issue. I drove 40 mins to get to my appt today and they turned me away due to me having my daughter. I would have been pissed but unfortunately I was expecting them to drop the ball like they often do and fuck up my schedule once again. Please save yourself the trouble and try elsewhere. Turns out, the reception/front desk inputted my name incorrectly which caused the claim to be denied. I had to make several calls to Forefront and my insurance company to correct this mistake. My husband also has an appt coming up so I wanted to ensure that his name was spelled correctly. When I called the billing dept at Forefront, they said his name should be correct. When I asked them to double check, his name was in fact spelled incorrectly. This means that we would have received another huge bill due to this mistake. Anyway, we will continue to see Dr. Parish, but it's important for the front desk/reception to be more diligent so as to avoid prolonged billing mishaps for the patient.
