They are moving studios, which is good because their facility was unpleasant. It had garbage on the floor and stains in the back locker room. I know it can be hard to control so many children at one, but I think this is a little out of hand. I won't tell about my personal experiences I had with the owner, but I will say she runs a tight shift. I have since been to other dance studios in the area such as Jordan Centre Dance, Lisa Renee, Center Stage, etc. I have had better experiences there than I did at DSM. They have charged people random amounts as nothing seems to be in order with this place. There is always some form of drama. They allow their employees to talk to paying customers any kind of way and be disrespectful towards you. I have experienced the owners being disrespectful first hand when all I did was try and have a conversation regarding my child and not the events that happened before hand as I was not there when they occurred. Other parents that know intimately about certain situations even feel that the business is run shadily. The owners along with staff are facinorous and all should take a course on customer service. There is no wonder student turnover is so high with this place. After a season of being disrespected most parents opt to take their children elsewhere (as we have) where you'll be respected and valued. I asked about a refund regarding a payment that was made and was told to read the contract. I asked if I could receive a copy of the said contract and was not provided 1. I was not included with the original conversations and when the account was created so I did not have access. This proves that they are greedy thieves as they will threaten to call the police and refuse to act as adults when trying to deal with a situation. Jonathan is very contemptuous and doesn't listen to understand he only hears you speaking waiting to have a rebuttal to the conversation. Him and his wife are not on the same page and are saying 2 different things when speaking with them. They constantly talk over you as you are trying to speak with them. This is no way to have a conversation with some one that is paying you for a a service. His wife has threatened a previous instructor in front of parents and students and the police was involved asking my family questions about the situation so for them to act as if there has not been anything prior and all has been perfect is BS (a FOIA request could be made for the report that was opened). I have asked that they remove any images or likeness of my daughter off of their social media pages with no response but I am sure after this they will have something to say regarding. If she was outed from the school then I don't want her affiliated in any way or for her videos and pictures to be posted with them. I have been nothing but calm and respectful in this whole ordeal even when they were being disrespectful towards me. This is my first and thank god last interaction with this establishment as I could NEVER support a business where I pay good money and they feel they can talk to you and treat you however they see fit. They have threatened legal action for a review being left stating FACTS which the receipts are there for. I'm sure they'll state I was rude and disrespectful BUT I have the entire interaction recorded to have proof as well as having a witness on the phone with me while I had the conversation. Since Ohio is a single party state this is something that is not illegal and I can post if they say anything other than the truth. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! PS- If you want to take legal action against me for speaking up and for this review then do as you see fit. I have the necessary resources and evidence. Threats don't scare me and this is just my experience with you all. Freedom of speech is a great thing as it allows me to say what I want as long as there are no threats made. I started from zero ( used to be very anxious about going dancing in clubs that play Latin music) and now I feel comfortable and enjoy going dancing at Latin dance clubs. Sean is a very kind & patient instructor; if I don't get something he takes his time to explain it in a variety of ways until I get it. Sean is a meticulous instructor (not sloppy or rushed) & his classes are fun and insightful; Sean really does have a passion for Salsa and Latin dance and shares his vast knowledge of it in terms of the physics involved, its history, the culture, & the music it's surrounded by. When I see Sean at a dance club he is more than happy to dance with me to help me practice out in the "real world". I truly enjoy Sean's classes & highly recommend Cleveland Salsa Passion.

BOOKING CLASSES -- Use their website. I had a ClassPass membership back then so I used my ClassPass credits to book the Reformer class. As of the writing of this review, in July 2026, BeFitness is no longer on ClassPass so guests will need to buy a single class package or a membership directly from BeFitness. A friend told me that they got rid of their Class Pass contract a while ago now. (Side-note: ClassPass is an app that allows members to book classes at different fitness studios and have the option to also access gyms and spas across various cities). REFORMER CLASS -- Anyone that has done a Reformer class knows that it is challenging, especially at 5am. The instructor was good because she provided understandable cues of what to do for each move/exercise. The instructor was enthusiastic as well. Having now taken other Reformer Pilates classes at a different Pilates studio in Avon and Bay Village, I definitely do not think the Reformer Pilates class at Be Fitness was as hard as the others that I've taken elsewhere. Nonetheless, I still recommend BeFitness if you live in the area and are looking for a beginner and intermediate friendly class. The Reformer Pilates class that I took at a different studio was a more advanced class. TIP (Reformer Pilates) -- The good thing about Reformer Pilates is that you can always adjust the resistance straps to increase or decrease the amount of resistance (weight) that you are pulling. SERVICE -- I remember the check-in process being smooth when I entered and the front desk woman greeted me (she was also the instructor). Overall, I enjoyed the Reformer Pilates class. Similar to many fitness studios, they sometimes have deals/sales so join their email list or visit them on social media to stay informed with current discounts. But they hired one of the best Aerialist in the city and I wanted to resume my practice. In addition to restarting aerial myself, I decided to get my niece involved. The studio made it very confusing and did not communicate to me how to register my niece. This resulted in me receiving an email that my registration was canceled, and we missed class. To this day, I have not received any follow up communication from the studio and the instructor was let go. All of this leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I was going to wait until I ran out of class passes to post my review, but this has been on my mind for days. My niece was making great progress and looked forward to attending. Sadly, we will not be members anymore.
