Huge fancy playground, not far from the interstate, with lawn and picnic tables for a perfect pit stop. We stopped here for a road trip break with my toddler and two 5-year-olds. The bathrooms up by the parking lot were easily accessible, and the ramp down to the playground was easy. My kids had a great time playing here for as long as I let them, and we enjoyed the brief walk over to some picnic tables. They loved playing in the creek, too, and would've stayed longer if we didn't have to get going. Highly recommend. read more

Nice park with a lot of things to do. It was a little confusing getting here with google maps but we made our way. This park is huge. Your kids won't get bored here at all. One negative thing is that there is absolutely no shade here so it gets super hot! read more

It had probably been twenty five years since I've been here. I used to take my daughter here when she was small. It seems like forever that Cleveland Park has had a train called Sparkles. Even I started riding that thing when I was about five years old. My maternal grandparents would load their 1955 Ford down with grandkids and away we'd go! Lots of wonderful memories were made there! About twenty years ago Sparkles derailed and killed a beautiful child! The city of Spartanburg decided to get rid of Sparkles; pave over the railroad track! They made the correct decision. Sparkles had only one accident in about 60 or 70 years of operation! But one accident killing a child was one too many. Please view my videos and pictures of this park! Didn't last long in the heat! (We came at 3pm middle of May!) I think this place needs a few more benches in the shade. Very great for young and older kids. Teenagers have fun here too. There was a trail which we didn't explore, but I would bike through it for sure! Bathrooms here. Nice place. read more

This park is really nice. It has a HUGE playground for the kids and a good amount of space to run around. There is a lake and some kind of building that looks like it would be great for events. I loved walking my baby at this park. It is very scenic and very well kept. You can walk around the main part or there is an area with a field. However, it is not in the best part of town, so I would recommend having a group of people. read more

This park has everything we look for in a playground park! Beautifully designed equipment, an area with tables, & restrooms. This park is beautiful, conveniently located near downtown & just off of business 85. It looks like the playground equipment is all brand new. There are 2 different areas, including a toddler area. With a wide variety of things to play on here, my son would've spent the entire day exploring. Any child is sure to enjoy this place! It even has a climbing wall. The playground area is only a small part of a huge park, that we will have to explore next time. read more

Nasty park with trash scattered around and filthy bathrooms. Loud music coming from a house in the neighborhood beside the park. You could hear it so clearly on the playground that my kids asked me about some of the disgusting words. I asked one of the park employees if anything could be done when I finally saw someone that worked there, he said you are welcome to leave. He was a taller younger looking boy with black curly hair, kinda heavy set. His poor attitude represented that park perfectly. Showed me why it looks like it does. I think we should all take his advice and go somewhere else. Sad this once beautiful park is being ran by employees that don't care and is going downhill fast. read more

Really beautiful park. Wonderful playground with tons of cool features. Great for little or big kids! So glad we stopped.

The park is clean with great facilities. There is a pond with a nice bridge. It's fun to walk around the park and have a picnic. This is one of the best parks in the Spartanburg area. read more
