They give artists a platform to share their murals and street art across the city. Most of the eye catching art around the city was made possible by Graffiti HeArt! Their HQ building itself is a mural, titled "Beautifully Destroyed". Another mural shines right behind, facing East 49th. It was completed in August by Beau Stanton and features the iconic Cleveland Guardians of Traffic. Waterloo Arts is a non-profit in the Waterloo neighborhood committed to economic improvement of the…read moreneighborhood and the local arts. One of the notable initiatives by this organization is Walk All Over Waterloo. It's a monthly initiative that draws a crowd to the neighborhood to explore local arts, eats, and shopping. I attended many Walk All Over Waterloo night, but stopped at the Waterloo Arts for the first time. I enjoyed my time! ARTS: Waterloo Arts is currently hosting Holiday Co-Op featuring local artists. This Co-Op will be running until December 21, 2025. The shopping is open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, 12-7 PM. It's a perfect place to shop for the holidays. You'll find ceramics, art, driftwood decor, jewelry, eco dyed fabrics, and a lot more. You'll be able to find very unique gifts unique just like the neighborhood at different price ranges. Definitely do someone of your holiday shopping here. The space also hosts various workshops and events, check their website. BAR: Seasonally there is a bar open occupying the second room of the space. It's very nice considering it's not even a full time hospitality space. Cute table, lots of space, art, and greenery. It was cozy and inviting. The holiday menu was limited but very good. I ordered a mulled wine ($10) and was very pleased with the drink. It was perfectly spiced with orange and hearty spices. It's exactly how I make it, I like to over spice. It was also very hot, which was a huge plus! I wish this mulled wine was a constant option, I'd come here just for it! SERVICE: The service was extremely friendly at the bar and so were the patrons. The bartender asked for my name and had a very pleasant conversation with me. It was evidence that everyone who works at this non-profit is very committed to its mission and are ambassadors of the neighborhood. I was very pleased with the hospitality. I plan to research when the little bar is open, so I can stop by more and support the mission. I love the inviting vibes and mulled wine! It's a must visit to shop your gift list and pause for snacks, drinks. Add Waterloo Arts to your holiday market stop!

First came here in January 2023 for the 10th annual DayGloSho at Waterloo Arts…read more It was a great event and the space was engaging and you can just feel the positivity from the people who own it and the artists who display their art at this location. They shared updates on a lot of the creative businesses in the area, served local pizza and beer from Citizens Pie, Great Lakes and other local places. They had a speaker that works at DayGlo (RPM) and were very engaging with our YP Arts Group, Column & Stripe. Couldn't recommend this place more or the Waterloo Arts district. Truly a Cleveland gem and a positive way for a resurgence of a Cleveland Neighborhood.

The show was amazing per usual the performers really give it their all. Definitely check out the burlesque show starring Bella Sin. there was a local artist selling her art as you came in. I bought quite a few pieces, glitter and Snark. Check out her artwork they're hilarious and adorable.

I had visited the downstairs record store a few years ago, but this was the first time I went into…read morethe theater for a show. It's a nice old place with a flat floor and a raised stage. The view is okay, unless you're sitting behind a tall person... which is exactly what happened. I was enjoying the show for about twenty minutes, when suddenly a REALLY tall guy plopped down right in front of me, completely blocking my view. Don't understand why; there were plenty of other empty seats. So I moved (not the last time.) I saw the band 15-60-75, and their movie, and the sound was clear and balanced for both. However, this evening, there was a major problem. They had the theater as cold as a meat freezer (it was a pleasant June evening.) It was all anyone could talk about. We left at the first (film) intermission, because the ambiance was unbearable! Was the movie any good? I have no idea, I was just thinking about trying to get warm! If I ever go back to the Beachland, I'll be sure to wear a winter coat, gloves, earmuffs and a scarf. Even if it's the middle of summer.

The concerts are at the beautiful Severance Hall as well as at Blossom in the summer. Although many people attend for the holiday concerts, summer series, and other modern performances, it is a real treat to go to the more classical programming as they often have other world class musicians performing with them, and it is a one of a kind experience to see in the beautiful Severance Hall. Additionally, they have significant discounted student tickets as well as a network, The Circle, that gives 20% off the regular tickets as well as in the gift shop. They also send a beautiful magazine once you join The Circle of upcoming performances. Could not recommend it more.

I was excited to see it as I'm a fan of comic books and wrote both my M.A. thesis and PhD dissertation about comic book history. It's a private residence, so we only read the signage and took some photos near the signs, but the owners clearly enjoy their historical legacy and care for it well. They have Superman statues visible in their garden and cardboard cutouts of Superman in the upstairs windows. Just know that it's a one-way street and be respectful if you want to read the signage.

This was the spot in 1932 that 18-year-old Jerry Siegel invented the Man of Steel, arguably the most successful literary creation of the 20th century. With its colorful porch flowers and new siding, the former Siegel residence is the best-looking home in a hardscrabble neighborhood. It's still lived in as a house, and its current owners have said they will give a local Superman society first crack at buying it when they leave. In return, the society helps to keep the place up now. "Jerry wasn't popular," the sign notes, but he "gave us something to believe in." and visit only once if you must....

The Key Bank Broadway series, the other touring plays that come into town are all top notch and award winning. It's premier entertainment all around. Date night, girls night, family night.
