Cory told me something like the wall is not straight and that is the best he could do. And also adding the rest of the mouldings would costs me more money. Now, after giving some thoughts about the matter, I think Cory did not bring enough edge mouldings to my house and he is too lazy to come back to complete the job. He figure that he can get away with these lies. Also, the manufacturing process is sloppy. The second picture shows that the particle board edge is exposed . In the email, Cory said that there will be 5 year warranty on the closet. I asked him about it, he said the invoice is the warranty. There is no warranty in the invoice. Now I look back at all the 5 star ratings on this company. It turns out that all of them are from before 2018 when the previous owners were in charge. This company under the new owner does not deserve a five star rating. It does sloppy manufacturing and installation job, try to finish the job as quickly as possible and does not treat it's customer correctly. From our first meeting with Shwan, the Project Consultant, when we discussed our vision, to the end of the project, we were part of all the decisions on everything that needed to be done. We were consulted extensively by Rose, Hoda and the Head Designer Zaineb. They listened and delivered. It was a big project with new floors, cabinets, huge pantry, fireplace, powder room, live wall, new doors and so many other details. The Head Designer, who we absolutely love, Zaineb Al-Saffar was on top of everything -- a great asset to have when we needed any communication with any concerns or questions. She worked very closely with both of us and with her Chief Contractor Mo; Mo was in charge of overseeing the whole project. Mo is great, knows his job, and is quite a perfectionist. A pleasure to work with. Central to the team, Ash and Sarah were absolutely perfect. Renovating our place like no others and recommending solutions to our concerns. They gave us a budget for certain items like say our sink... and because I wanted to choose a more expensive sink than their predicted cost, they were going to charge us a change order fee. It makes no sense, if I want to spend a few hundred dollars more on my sink why do they reap financial benefit from it when they gave us a lowball amount to spend in the first place. We were also plagued with mismanagement of our project. The project manager, Ali, they assigned to us was inexperienced and made several errors that delayed our project. He was definitely hired based on nepotism as he was the best friend of the manager, Hussain. The PM was fairly clueless, luckily my husband is a carpenter and he really had to micromanage many aspects of the project. This is a shame since we thought we were hiring VGC to take the stress of managing the projects ourselves. Then Ali left us halfway through project for personal reason. We did get a better PM, Mo after but he had to deal with the aftermath of the first guy plus the first contractor, Hamid decided to leave our project midway due to a dispute with how the company mismanaged payment to him. I was then harassed for weeks by Hamid to pay him or else he'd put a lien on our home. Meanwhile, the manager Hussain did not check in once to clarify or reassure us that we did not owe the contractor anything outstanding as we made payment on time to VGC. Then Hamid further disclosed that VGC definitely overcharge their clients and he said our project should not have taken as long as it did to complete, which left a very negative feeling for us. I felt anxious throughout thinking Hamid was going to show up and threaten my family and I have small children at home, it was not a good feeling. There was also design flaws where calculations were flawed and it required my husband to step in and alter the design and measurements. All in all the project was a disaster for us and we do feel overcharged. I do not recommend them. They were not professional and the trades they hire are also not professional. Don't be persuaded by the smooth salesman pitch from the manager, it's all smoke and mirrors because when things went wrong they definitely didn't care about their customer.

Transition pieces were not properly glued down, baseboard nails were not set flush, and the caulking was poorly done--problems that are still visible today. I lived with these issues for years because fixing them once was not enough and I did not want to deal with the issue again. The manager at the time did offer me a partial refund so I didn't ask for a 2nd fix. In hindsight I should have. Recently, I re-engaged Jordans because I need to redo my flooring. Engaging with the current store manager I was told in person that we would be "taken care of" and "hooked up" because of the 2017 experience. What followed was a 10¢/sqft price reduction (about $55 total). When I raised this marginal discount, the alternative offered was removing recommended services of leveling and voiding warranty. This process wasted significant time and did not rebuild confidence with Jordan's. We chose another contractor.

V said there are waterproof laminate as well and that he would show me what they have and I should focus on the quality of the floor instead of vinyl vs laminate (European being the best) Most of the floors I liked were out of stock so I went with my 4th favorite (laminate). Everything was smooth at the beginning. When I went to see the floors in my new apartment, I saw the box of flooring and to my surprise it had no mention of it being waterproof ... There were few issues along the way so I got concerned and contacted the manufacture directly instead of Phoenix Flooring. The response was that it was not waterproof nor water resistant and that they would NOT recommend their product for my purpose ... It was shocking and totally puzzling. Why would they recommend something completely opposite to what I am looking for and specifically indicated as priority? I was truly disappointed but I was moving in on Dec. 20, 2020 and it will take weeks to order new floors and arrange for installation which was simply not an option for me. On top of this, in one of the rooms they installed the floors in a different direction as to what I asked for. When I called V, he said the installers thought that would look better ... The direction of the floor did not make sense at all and most importantly, there were no discussion with me that they will lay it differently than what I requested for. It was however corrected. They were 3 days late from the initial deadline set which meant I had to move in and deal with the noise and dust for the first few days which I was not happy about. I would like to note that the contractors were all pleasant, worked hard and did a good job. But it is also important to note that there were at least 6 contractors (demolition, leveling, floor installers) + V going in and out that had keys to my place so you need to be aware of that. (keys going around the contractors) Quality of work - 4/5 Customer service - 2/5 Communication during project - 2/5 Deadline - 2/5 Pricing - 3/5 Although the floors are beautiful, my overall experience was rather disappointing.
