No I didn't manage to win a bean but for less than a tenner we had two hours of bingo and a good meal which I simple thought was great value and made a change from my usual routine. Parking is…read morewithin the st stephens shopping centres multi storey car park , if you park on the first floor of the car park you exit straight onto the floor the hall is situated on. when you enter the hall you are met with friendly staff who will take your car parking ticket and exchange it for a pass this can later be changed back for a paid for ticket so parking is free. Becoming a member of the club is simple just fill in a form at the reception and you can play straight away.In the reception area you can buy either paper books (sets of 6) or electronic books (sets of 24 or 36). From the reception area you continue into the arcade area which includes bandit machine that give some high value prizes. From here you enter a big, open hall where seating is arranged either side of a central aisle, that leads to the main stage where the main caller of the evening stands. The seats are set out in aisles 2 to a table. there are also a limited amount of tables for 4 and 8 towards the back of the hall. Each table has coin slots and boards to enable you to play party bingo during the breaks. To the right is a cafe area and bar, food is very reasonably priced and there is usually a nice variety of curries, burgers, hotdogs,sandwiches, jacket potatoes etc. The bar is well stocked. There are clearly marked tiolets and fire exits are various places around the hall. To the left is a self service drink vending machine. During the session staff are alway walking the floor to provide change or help.

We felt personally victimised by this member of staff and won't be returning again. No where do I expect to be treat in such a disgusting way, especially not in a bingo hall. Well actually I guess they do live up to their name. being huge and brightly light they are like a mecca, a focal pulling point of primary colours that draw you in on a dull evening. In most big towns you can be on a bus or a train and you are likely to see the shiny lights of a Mecca Bingo. So as it does live up to the name in the sense of attracting a group of people to do a similar activity...but still Mecca?

I thought I would give the screen ago. Well as we all walked in they had already started. We sat down in panic mode and the bingo helper came over & showed us what to do! Brilliant! I think I missed some numbers while he was showing me ha ha! Top house was £400 we didn't win but being closing with one number my heart was racing more than once! I saw many of our team members sweating at one point ha ha! The bingo hall had a bar & food court. During the breaks of the main games they had smaller games which you could win Easter eggs very exciting!!! Overall good experience! Good customer service & I enjoyed the bingo

I have been wanting to do a review for ages now. It started when I heard that the pop group FIVE where playing at this venue, IN A BINGO HALL!!!. Forget the stereotypes this place is great. There must have been 1000 people at the FIVE music night. Since then I have been for a regular Bingo session and eaten the great food at a reasonable price while enjoy a cheeky game of bingo with a few pints with Friends. There is always events on which are on their facebook page and advertised in the building. If you like a lively fun party atmosphere which is almost nightclub quality they do a Bonkers Bingo Night once every month or so, it great fun and again the beer prices are amazing. You can see that they are tapping into the 18-35 market on a nighttime and with Scarborough not having any nightlife they are creating something amazing here!! Well done Mecca Scarborough. Just heard today that they have a Massive Christmas Party Night coming and are launching a monthly Comedy club in there lounge bar upstairs, the lounge is ace with Pool tables, Games consoles seating and private bar. I have been told it has a new manager now so from what I can see he is getting on the pulse of what this town needs.

Most of the time is spent enticing you to use the quick table bingo machines in between the main rounds. The prizes are ok but don't match those on offer at gala. You do get some younger people in but on the whole it is the older generation.

The staff are extremely friendly and are happy to help to explain things or just to have a bit of banter. Prices vary but there are always promotions on and there is free bingo about once a month. It is on two floors each with a bar and a small food counter with sandwiches, chips, hot dogs and burgers etc. In terms of location it is in the centre of town on Skinnergate and a car park just across the road.
