I will list a few reasons as to why I gave this place one star. Starting off with the service. I called one day to make an appointment since my tooth was hurting. Keep in mind I had somewhere to be that day and wasn't planning on coming in. As I was on the phone trying to make an appointment, the receptionist had insisted on me coming in that hour to look at my teeth. I had explained how I didn't have time and that I wanted to come a different day, especially since the pain was manageable. But she was adamant with me coming in that day. So I prioritized my health over my other plans and stopped by to get my tooth checked out. When I got in the people were nice and took care of me. They did some x-rays, and even took a 3D image of my teeth. After getting my teeth checked, the doctor had explained how I should get a filling. No biggie , I just had to call them when I was ready to make an appointment for this service. The next day I looked at the service charged on my insurance and there were multiple charges of different x-rays that my insurance didn't cover. I'm no dentist but I didn't see a point of doing all sorts of different x-rays to assess my one tooth. For me it felt unnecessary and expensive. As I continued looking at the charges I noticed that I was charged for the 3D model of my teeth. At the moment of getting the 3D model I didn't think much about it, all they said was to open up and then they put the wand in my mouth to make the image. I don't think they thought once about me as a patient but rather it felt like they were trying to take advantage of the situation by doing a bunch of extra x-rays that I didn't exactly need as a way to increase their profit. The next day I called the receptionist and asked her about the charges. I was also charged an emergency service charge since I came in that day despite me wanting to come in another day. So, after explaining the situation the receptionist took off the emergency charge but I was still left having to pay a couple hundred for the x-rays they took that day. I explained how I was confused why they took a 3D image if they weren't making crowns or molds that would require a 3D model of my teeth, and the receptionist proceeds to tell me that I'm not getting crowns and how she was confused about my questions. All I was trying to do was understand the charges that were made, and she stated to get frustrated at my questions. So I asked if I could come in to talk with the doctor. She then explains how I have to make an appointment in order to do so. So I asked if it's free and she said that it would be $100 to speak with the doctor about the x-rays and charges. This was ridiculous to me given that I wanted to better understand the service they did. Overall, this situation felt like they took advantage of my situation leaving me paying for services that I still don't know why were done. To add to this, I did some further investigation and came across the Better Business Bureau, which is a non profit that accredits businesses. When looking at there business profile it read BABY STROLLERS. I don't know what this means but it seems off. The point of all this is to just caution you from getting scammed like I was. Proceed with caution when getting services done here!

The fillings that were in those two teeth were 30-40 years old, and had split. A second appointment needed to take measurements, remove the fillings that no longer were effective. And, a temporary metal cap was placed over each of the two teeth. Yesterday was my appointment for the new crowns. What a relief! The last two weeks of smiles looked like Joe Pesci in "Home Alone," a good look for him, but not for me. The entire staff were so nice, and Dr. Lala was amazing!

To be fair, the front desk staff and dental team have always been friendly and professional. However, over time, several ongoing issues made it difficult for me to continue as a patient. First, the office is extremely difficult to reach. Calls often go unanswered, and despite leaving multiple voicemails over the years, I rarely, if ever, received a return call. Communication became a consistent challenge. Second, appointments were frequently canceled without a clear explanation, and rescheduling in a timely manner was nearly impossible. Availability was very limited, often requiring more than a month's wait. Lastly, and most importantly, my experience with Dr. Sanjay Lala felt consistently impersonal. In all the years I was a patient, there was minimal engagement or effort to build rapport. Visits often felt transactional rather than patient-centered, which made it difficult to feel comfortable or cared for. After many years of loyalty, I ultimately decided to move on. I share this feedback in the hope that it helps improve the patient experience for others.
