Not only is the full staff so well educated but they treat one another like family and make you feel like family at every visit Dr. Mar Mar the hygienist is so skilled. I went in for laser gum treatment due to a pretty severe case of gum disease. She injected me before starting a number of times, I didn't feel ANY and I mean ANY discomfort. I hate getting shots in my mouth because my body will literally jump up from the discomfort..she is AMAZING. I highly recommended being cautious if you choose to do business with Encino Dentistry. Hopefully my shared experience can better inform your decision making on finding a dentist that is reliable and can meet your needs. I will list a few reasons as to why I gave this place one star. Starting off with the service. I called one day to make an appointment since my tooth was hurting. Keep in mind I had somewhere to be that day and wasn't planning on coming in. As I was on the phone trying to make an appointment, the receptionist had insisted on me coming in that hour to look at my teeth. I had explained how I didn't have time and that I wanted to come a different day, especially since the pain was manageable. But she was adamant with me coming in that day. So I prioritized my health over my other plans and stopped by to get my tooth checked out. When I got in the people were nice and took care of me. They did some x-rays, and even took a 3D image of my teeth. After getting my teeth checked, the doctor had explained how I should get a filling. No biggie , I just had to call them when I was ready to make an appointment for this service. The next day I looked at the service charged on my insurance and there were multiple charges of different x-rays that my insurance didn't cover. I'm no dentist but I didn't see a point of doing all sorts of different x-rays to assess my one tooth. For me it felt unnecessary and expensive. As I continued looking at the charges I noticed that I was charged for the 3D model of my teeth. At the moment of getting the 3D model I didn't think much about it, all they said was to open up and then they put the wand in my mouth to make the image. I don't think they thought once about me as a patient but rather it felt like they were trying to take advantage of the situation by doing a bunch of extra x-rays that I didn't exactly need as a way to increase their profit. The next day I called the receptionist and asked her about the charges. I was also charged an emergency service charge since I came in that day despite me wanting to come in another day. So, after explaining the situation the receptionist took off the emergency charge but I was still left having to pay a couple hundred for the x-rays they took that day. I explained how I was confused why they took a 3D image if they weren't making crowns or molds that would require a 3D model of my teeth, and the receptionist proceeds to tell me that I'm not getting crowns and how she was confused about my questions. All I was trying to do was understand the charges that were made, and she stated to get frustrated at my questions. So I asked if I could come in to talk with the doctor. She then explains how I have to make an appointment in order to do so. So I asked if it's free and she said that it would be $100 to speak with the doctor about the x-rays and charges. This was ridiculous to me given that I wanted to better understand the service they did. Overall, this situation felt like they took advantage of my situation leaving me paying for services that I still don't know why were done. To add to this, I did some further investigation and came across the Better Business Bureau, which is a non profit that accredits businesses. When looking at there business profile it read BABY STROLLERS. I don't know what this means but it seems off. The point of all this is to just caution you from getting scammed like I was. I've been a patient of Dr. Zadeh for almost 3 years now, I've always gone for just my regular cleanings and check ups but I ended up breaking two teeth on my right side and and she had to put couple of porcelain restorations, she is just great. I was able to get all the work done no pain. The injection was painless. The whole procedure was excellent, I am very happy, the numbness just wore off a no pain my teeth feel like they haven't even been touched. Scammers. Definitely try to gaslight you and upsell you in services. The office manager gives you whatever price she is feeling that day. Dr. Shermineh Zadeh uses the same line for all her clients "if you were my brother or if you were my sister I would tell you to do this" to make you feel as if she's being sincere. DO NOT COME HERE. Always get a second opinion, they told me I had cavities and wanted me to rush me into taking care of them the same day and I went to get another opinion and they said absolutely not! This place quoted me for $3500 for a cleaning & filling. No I'm not kidding. It felt like walking into a Ponzi scheme dental office. I'm not even sure how a business in this industry made it out in this category but bravo the morals are a match my goodness. They also tried to charge me for a consult visit even though I already told them I did X-Rays the day before. The assistant doing my pictures was extremely rough handed and was a extremely uncomfortable visit. Yes she cares about her patients She calls you by name she cares if you are in pain and will prevent it as best as she can. My husband and I have been going to this dentist only since March and the only thing that we're sad about is that we didn't start going here sooner. Dr Shermineh Zadeh and her warm and welcoming office staff are a rare pleasure to engage with., The office is equips with a Ct scanner and so much of the newest digital conveniences that make for a really comprehensive time saving consultation. Integrity and competence, coupled with prompt and professional care is what you get during your first consultation. Dr Zadeh really cares and takes the time to hear you. I was not a candidate for invisalign due to the closure of the lower gap creating a severe over jet together with the upper lateral implant not allowing for much movement. Dr Zadeh's office refunded my deposit and offered warm wise advise about how I can best create a bright more delightful smile. Naz the receptionist follows up and is very exacting with all the details needed with regard to appointments and billings. Everyone at the office makes you feel super special and significant. I had previously had a tooth removed at this office two years ago and it was a perfectly fine experience. Cost no more than $500 and Dr. Sheri was great. I thought I'd set up an appointment for another tooth extraction with them again, because my last experience went really smooth. (Sets up appointment) I get there and they want to charge me $1000 now. I'm a little confused and see these charges. Ct scan - $350 (so doctor can see my nerves) Extraction - $300 Consultation - $260 I pretty much say I don't want to do a ct scan, so it's $40 for an x-ray scan. (Dr. Sheri just had a baby according to the dental assistant, so it's a different doctor thats coming to do my extraction.) The doctor comes and is with me for 10 minutes and explains I can't just go out ripping my teeth whenever I want and to consider other options. So we decide a tooth extraction is not the best choice. He then recommends a ct scan to see my mouth in 3d. I basically say no again, he then leaves and the dental consultant comes in and again asks me if I want to do a ct scan, I say no again and decide to just figure something else out. I get refunded the $300 for extraction but still have to pay for the consultation fee and x-ray which comes up to $360. It doesn't make sense, sure the x-ray, but to be charged the consultation fee for seeing the doctor only 10 minutes? I asked the dental consultant, does this sound right to you? She goes on to say "he's a surgeon" and something about her paying $500 to see a facial specialist. I can't help but feel like I was ripped off. For them to try to sell me the ct scan in the beginning because he wanted to see my nerves, then to try to sell it to me again because he needed to see my mouth in 3d to see if my dental work can wait a few years. Sounds bogus to me, they just want your money. I understand if I paid $100 plus the x-ray. I work two jobs, 50-60 hours a week just to be stolen from the rich. I found Dr. Zadeh's dental office in search to find a good dentist. Since moving to LA, it's been hard to find a dentist I trust and feel comfortable with, so because of that, It's been a long time since going to a dentist, and all my problems started flaring up for the worst. From the moment I made n appointment with her friendly staff to arriving for my first appointment, I knew I made the right choice to go to this dental office. The service was incredible, and everyone in the office is friendly and so sweet. Luisa at the front always makes me laugh. After an initial visit, I was booked in to remove all four wisdom teeth, the healing process was excellent, and for any issues I had, I could text and call and get immediate help!! Now I was back a handful of times just yesterday for a deep clean, and already I had just woken up with the infection clearing and my gums already looking healthier. I was referred by a friend to Dr. Zadeh's dental office. I received EXCEPTIONAL service. Hands down best dentist in Encino. I was in for an Invisalign consult and dental check-up. Dr. Zadeh took the time to do a comprehensive dental examination and answered any of my concerns and problems and then recommended solutions and treatment choices. I did not feel pushed or uncomfortable with any of the treatment plans I was given for my teeth. We now have a family dentist for life. I just recently got some new implants and dental bridge...excellent fit, feel and look better than the "real" teeth !
