I contacted this company as it came up on google as one of the first results for help with GE Dishwasher repair.
My dishwasher was making a grinding/rattling noise. The technician who came on the service call looked at it and said the motor was done and needed to be replaced...With installation we were looking at a $300 repair bill. He charged me $100 for the call itself.
I was contacted a week later to make an appointment for the delivery and installation of the new motor. I informed them that they would have to come early in the morning as I needed to be at work before noon.
At around 10:45 I contacted them to ask if the technician was nearby, at which point I was informed that the motor they had ordered was defective and they would have to call me back to reschedule. They told me they'd call latest by the end of the week.
I heard nothing back for 2 weeks. At this point I was ready to simply buy a new dishwasher, but I received a call by them and they said they could come by the next day. I was desperate to have this dishwasher fixed (it had been over a month at this point) so I agreed. Again, I let them know it had to be in the morning as I need to be at work before noon.
The next day at 10:00 AM I receive a call from the technician saying they could not make it there before noon because it was raining. Yes, this is what they said. It was raining. Not snowing, raining. I told them to forget it and that I would not be requiring their services any more.
I decided to take the dishwasher out so I could buy a new one to replace it. As I'm uninstalling the dishwasher, I notice that there is a shell stuck in the filter which is causing the rotating blade to get stuck, thus causing the rattling noise and motor issues. I removed it and it runs fine now.
The technician did not bother to check the filter. At best he is incompetent. At worst he is dishonest. I almost dished out $300 to these people to fix something that took seconds to do.
Here's the kicker: The technician damaged my dishwasher while he was here. I cannot prove this, but when he was disconnecting the lower wash arm, he broke the plastic clip that secures the arm in place. I had never tried to remove it myself and it was the first time this component was ever touched. He did not mention this to me, I found out about it myself while taking the thing our.
The entire experience was a complete disaster from all levels except for whoever it is who answers the phones there, as she was always nice and helpful. I would avoid this repair service at all costs, I would not even take them if they were free.
