Most places I called INSISTED I get an eye exam and renew my prescription for my glasses ro they refused an appointment. This would have translated to a 3-4 WEEK delay and $$$ for them; not nice in this covid world where just keeping functional at-home is a major coup!! Anyways, this firm's optician took me the next day, & then accommodated me again... as I went to the old address by mistake and so was late for the appointment. She then took the time and hunted and found a frame that fit my existing lenses; and fit them in while I waited (needed some tooling to fit); and all at a very reasonable price. I felt that my prescription hadn't changed but just wanted to see if it had, and I hadn't noticed. I also wanted to get new lenses for my glasses. The glasses were fine, but the person helping me gave me the wrong prescription for contact lenses, and then continually told me that I wasn't experiencing the vision issues that I was. I had to go back several times to check this, and it became so onerous that I just bought a very expensive set of lenses that do not work for me. So I am wearing them and having headaches and blurry vision. I will not return to Zyeu. The service was bad in almost every way.

After spending an hour more, she change the 2 frames to cheaper ones, also the quality of the lenses to drop the price to $666.00 with was closer to the $500.00 I was expecting. When I told my wife that I spend 3 hours for inferior glasses, she cancel her appointment and went to COSTCO and got 2 paires with top quality for $110.00 less then me. When I went to pickup my glasses, couldn't believe the view through the glasses, impossible to turn your eyes sideways because view got so blurry and I was seeing better without glasses. Told the sale person that I don't accept glasses like that and it would be impossible to drive with those on my face, she said to pay and try them for a wile and see later date if I still have trouble to come back and negotiate for better lens, witch means more money. It was…read morereally bothering me, and since we walk on Sherbrooke all the time and pass this optician's office frequently, my mom suggested we stop in, perhaps they could tighten the stems on my glasses. We wandered inside and were blown away by all the eyeglass frames they had in here: most were cutting-edge modern. It was like a gallery or museum of contemporary eyeglass designs. We chatted with the lady who worked there and she explained that most glasses weren't even on display, that they had so many frames that most were stored in the drawers below the displays. Wow. SO MANY. And she showed us frames that were created by 3D printers, and others made with materials that were literally as light as a feather. The prices were crazy high but wow, the quality and selection of these frames were beyond comparison. To top it off, the staff here were SO nice! They gladly tightened my glasses, even though the place was busy with customers, and despite the fact that I didn't buy my glasses there. Great customer service. My parents' optometrist and optician who was based in The Bay has closed up shop, so my parents are going to start coming here for their eye exams and eye glasses, based upon how friendly and knowledgeable this lady was with us last week, and because their selection and quality of frames is unbelievable
