So I decided to go with NV Service based on these great reviews. Yea..can't always trust these Yelpers. So I gave NV a nice 2.5 star because I received an average type job. I wasn't home to watch them clean the house but someone was there to supervise. I asked how many people would be sent over..there was only ONE maid sent. As SOON as I came home, I saw dust in an area where everyone goes..the kitchen! I was like nah..I can already tell that it wasn't great, but I thought to myself that maybe the inspector will look over it..nope. That inspector tore into the house. Said it "needed to be recleaned." Now dont get me wrong, the place looked ok, but not good enough for what I paid. I even had to pay overtime because it was pushing the maid(s) into overtime. .Im sure I could clean better than the service I received. BEST PART OF STORY: I was going to be charged an extra 150 from my rental property to have it recleaned! No sir! I called my rental property and told them that I will clean it myself! So I got up at the crack of dawn and went to clean it myself. Yes. I. DID. THEIR. JOB. FOR. THEM! Like come on now..but its ok, while I cleaned it just gave me an idea to possibly invest in my own cleaning company to do a better than average job!

Ultimately, ACA was once considered the best bang-for-your-buck yard-work service that you paid a little more for than the budget priced guys but got really quality work. Over the last few years, they've increased their prices exponentially and decreased their quality. I recognize the prices of things have gone up in recent years but there's no excuse for the terrible service. I scheduled them for a (over-priced) yard clean-up with 5 yards of mulch. Their office location repeatedly rescheduled it without informing us and I had to hound them to get answers about the availability. Eventually, the person I was speaking with even admitted they had no clue when they'd come out. Terrible communication / management that impacted what day my wife would go into the office that week. The actual work done was sub-par as well. Three folks showed up and made a really poor effort to remove weeds, leaving a ton behind, and then sloppily threw mulch on top of them, scattering it all over my yard as well. What a pain the next time a mowed the lawn! They tore out three completely healthy rosemary bushes that I used on a regular basis and completely mangled a rose bush that was a gift from my wife's grandfather before he passed away. The edging was poor and sloppy and they didn't ask anything of us. Ultimately, they got the job done and they did it on a short timeline because of rain last week having pushed the date and that's the primary reason why they got 2 stars instead of 1; but I don't know that I'll ever use them again.

They showed up late, when they decided to show up, and seemed more interested in their phones than in doing any actual work. What little work they did manage to complete was sloppy, rushed, and nothing close to what was agreed upon. The yard looked worse when they left than when they arrived. Uneven edging, random patches of dead grass, and plants that looked like they were dug out of someone else's trash pile. When I brought my concerns to the owner, he was dismissive, rude, and acted like I was the problem for expecting professionalism. Communication was a nightmare, deadlines were ignored, and the "finished" product was embarrassing. I ended up hiring another company to redo almost everything they touched, at double the cost. Tim was responsive and friendly during our initial conversations and offered what I thought were fair prices. I was told the project would take one day. He started the job immediately. He was only able to complete half the job the first day and told me there were some problems with the delivery of the TURF. He told me the TURF was taking longer to come in than expected but would complete the job later next week. I paid half of the overall estimate as a deposit for the job. And that is where everything ended. Tim has never come back to finish the job, my flower beds are just filled with rocks, despite numerous attempts to call, text, and email ... Tim will not return my calls or refund the price I've paid for a job that was left incomplete. You would ask a simple question and get looked blankly. The work area safety was a disaster. Pictures will be included. They showed up at 7:15-7:25 AM. Upon arrival they needed to get inside for what I haven't a clue. Fairfax county has a noise ordinance stating work can't start until 8AM. If your so unlucky you will deal with Carl. Carl is the most cocky character. He doesn't know code. He claims he does. He claims he inspected the area to bring it up to code but missed a massive code violation. Fairfax County missed it as well but I already knew they were useless. So if you want to hire a company and roll the dice that you pass final inspection this is your company. If you want your property taken and then a cocky response that he's in 200 homes a year this is your company. They took a tarp that wasn't theirs and probably a watch. The tarp was returned but according to Carl they don't take anything. I can't speak for the value. The job was done on time but with annoyances. The kicker is he allegedly wanted to charge trip fees.
