The guy who checked us in was very nice, friendly and accommodating his name was DJ. No one else spoke when you walked into the lobby area, not one single time. The rooms were clean but outdated and smelled like wet rags, wet floors or mildew. We switched rooms because of how bad the first room smelled and still had to get two air fresheners to place in our room. Smell is so important, you all should atleast look into something to fix the smell that smacks you in the face when you enter the rooms. The ceilings in the hall ways had water stains throughout not sure if that is the reason for the smell but it was pretty bad. We were there for three days and on the third day housekeeping came by around 5pm to clean the room, at that point it was too late but I did appreciate the apology and offer to provide us with the service. We would have switched hotels altogether but I didn't have the emotional capacity to deal with it since we were in town for a funeral! Free breakfast was tasty and the beds were comfortable. But I would not come back.

I am not quite sure how to describe it, maybe a private viewing bacterial jacuzzi with a fireplace for some 70s porn ambiance? This is one of the worst Bonvoy properties I have ever seen, and I cannot imagine the corporate meeting in which anyone thought this room layout was a good idea. If you have any option to avoid this hotel ... take it!!!

We paid for a room with a fireplace - not that we were using a fireplace in August, but it provides more space - we got a room with a whirlpool tub. My husband enjoyed the company of a roach in the bathroom overnight. The shower curtain is on of those curved rods that pulls away from the wall after a while (no support in the center). The shower curtain wouldn't stay spread open while showering. There was a brown ring around the drain in the sink; it wasn't rust or lime, it is evidence of poor cleaning. The breakfast buffett is just like every other place, but the person maintaining the buffet never refilled anything. The oatmeal ran out an hour before breakfast ended and he just took the container away and didn't bring any more. The breads were down to five items and no replenishment. This is an hour before breakfast ended. The rooms have the HVAC systems that are loud, and the one in our room did not run properly. I read somewhere that this hotel had a hot tub..... it is now filled in with cement. While my husband and I were packing up to leave this morning, the cleaning gal "cleaned" three rooms around us; it only took about 30 minutes to pack up and leave. The Sales Manager asked me how our stay was, and she seemed interested, but her response, while kind, made me feel like she felt I might be exaggerating.

Yesterday I had a job change and needed to cancel an upcoming stay. I reached out, explained the situation, and asked for any flexibility. The property declined and enforced the full late cancellation penalty of over $600. I understand policies exist. At the same time, loyalty used to come with some level of flexibility. That doesn't seem to be the case here at this property. Disappointing experience and will for sure not come back - the Jordan Creek Courtyard is super flexible though and it reminds me why I always go there. Remember folks - the decisions are always in the hands of the management and the team they train. If they want to, they will. If they don't, they won't.

So now I'm stuck without being able to take a shower because nobody choose to read the notes until after the fact.- pretty embarrassing / customer service wise- they don't have any parking either if you arrive tardy. The lobby was beautiful, with plenty of places to sit and a coffee making machine that could make you lattes, mochas and even hot chocolate, which I utilized multiple times. The pool was clean and brightly lit and honestly beautiful. The rooms were clean and had that extra blanket and pillow in the closet that you always hope is there when you want to feel extra cozy. This Best Western is clearly run by hospitable, welcoming people who know what they're doing. The only critique I have is that the elevator buttons seemed a little old, but they were still working properly. I felt well taken care of, cozy and comfortable, and all at a reasonable price. I would stay there again for sure. I can't wait to have another hot chocolate by their fireside in the lobby. Keep it up, you guys! I had such an amazing time. We'll be back!

But once you leave that area and go down the hallway to the rooms, it's a different feel. The hallways are dark. Our room was fine. We got a two queen bed room which also had a pull out coach. It was spacious for us. The room itself needed lots of updates. The wallpaper was starting to peel, the bedroom half of the room was very dark, random light switch that didn't turn anything on or off. Plus sides - person at reception was very friendly both evenings. And location is great! Would I stay there again? It depends. If there was another hotel in the same area around the same price, I'd probably try the other hotel. If this was a lot less expensive, then I'd be okay staying here again.

Ive noticed recently some of the Marriotts are getting cheap with their breakfast and even removing the french vanilla creamers as an option to save money so it was nice to see that had several different options here for my coffee! When did this start happening. Isn't it standard hotel procedure to refresh the room daily? 2) They slid my invoice under the room door very early in the morning (it was there when I woke up at 5:45am) on checkout day. I am not a fan of having my personal information slid under a door. All it takes is a tiny bit of human error and then someone has bits a pieces of my personal info and certainly enough to start charging items to the room. And my biggest issue of all ... 3) The "fitness center" is a complete joke and cannot be referred to as a fitness center. I don't expect very much out of hotel fitness centers, but this was a storage closet with 2 ellipticals, 2 treadmills and a dumbbell rack squeezed into a room the size of a closet. There wasn't even enough space to get down and do some push ups or sit ups. It's a complete slap in the face to anyone who books there and wants to get in a workout. I actually had to go seek out a gym in the area, and pay them, in order to get my workout in when I should have been able to do that at the hotel since they advertise a "fitness center." If working out is a priority to you, completely avoid this hotel.

First and foremost when you check in, you get a free drink and they respect the Yelp check in though they don't seem know it exists. They're are plentiful amount of rooms. The rooms are big. They are also eco friendly. Awesome showers! The best part is the breakfast they feature is amazing. They don't have those light, bare bones course meals here. Great drink options too with breakfast ! The highlight is that it's got an amazing pool and hot tub! Sure they got a gym too but it's a large pool, hot tub area! I'll make sure I'll come here more often!
