I do think the store could be laid out better, many items are very close to each other on stands which can easily be moved, so passing through can be a little narrow/uncomfortable - They have such a big store, so there's no need for this! The walls are lined with high visibility jackets and hard hats and the majority of stock is haphazardly organised into plastic boxes, labelled with sizes and colours. The staff are welcoming and polite and there are some very nice touches to the store's interior, including a 'shoplifters will be prosecuted sign' designed in the style of a nuclear safety sign. Additionally, the shop is spotlessly clean throughout and ample street parking is available outside. Though highly exclusive and pleasantly odd, I can't help but think that Sutton Safety's products are a little too niche and on my visit, the staff definitely seemed a little over-eager and irritating. The store deserves credit for its originality and impressive theming, but for me, Sutton Safety is simply just a little too eccentric.

On my visit, I was after a Streetly School P.E. kit for my brother, which I am sad to the store did not have in stock (quite surprising as this school is located just 10 minutes away from the store by car), apparently because the school comes under a Walsall postcode as opposed to a Birmingham one. Uniforms Plus seems to have a very extensive stock and definitely benefits from enthusiastic, knowledgeable employees, but if your child goes to a school further afield than the Great Barr/Kingstanding/Sandwell area, you'd probably be better off visiting Clive Mark in Sutton Coldfield, or a school clothing elsewhere.

I found the staff very helpful at Uniforms Plus and based on what I saw, the staff will always be there to help if you need it. If parents do have children attending schools in the Birmingham area and are looking to purchase uniforms, Uniforms Plus might well be worth a visit.
