My cat died because of them. I brought my cat in who was not eating or drinking (he was 6). They kept him for 3 days, I was told "dehydration", sent home with crazy expensive food that he barely picked at, and I watched him RAPIDLY waste away in the comfort of my own home, where he passed away with me 2 nights after I brought him home. Moving forward - got a new dog. She's small and feisty, but as long as you respect her bubble and earn her trust, she warms right up to anyone. I was at a shared appointment - my mom had her dog, and I had mine - same room, just to have a quick thins done for both. While My mom's dog was being treated, Dr. Shlenker came in unannounced, walked right over to my dog who was facing me on my lap, and jabbed her with a shot - no notice. My dog LOST IT. The entire thing was HIGHLY unprofessional. Not to mention, when we were greeted initially, it came with a lot of attitude and absolutely NO effort to help my "more than vocal" jack russell comfortable in possibly another area. Since they moved - quality in care has TANKED. Prices have gotten absolutely OUTRAGEOUS, so for the horrendous cost (of ANY treatment/food) paired with absolute GARBAGE care..........we are SOOOOOOOO DONE. My family has been going their for years - maybe had 10 pets there over the years? I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy to them now. They run like a careless factory and nickel & dime you for the most ridiculous things. I've actually spoken to several other PAST customers recently who shared similar stories about pets getting horrible care, randomly dying, employees being heartless and mean. I will NOT be back. And I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY encourage anyone else to spend time looking elsewhere. There are plenty of other vets in Lincoln that offer far superior care & pricing. Clocktower has lost the pot. I brought my cat in there less than 24 hours ago. She was a happy cat. Now she's crying in pain. I don't know if the person was a doctor or not, but she asked me to go around the corner to the right hand side so my cats anal glands wouldn't get on me when she expressed them. My cat never ever is violent and she cried in pain and they didn't respond to that whenever an animal cries out in pain, loud like that, they need to slow down and take heed to the animal crying out. Don't just assume and treat the animal like it's a slab of meat at a processing fucking plant! I don't give a shit if I'm cussing on this. I'm having my spouse take my cat back there today and they better act accordingly at this fucking place! I was sick to my stomach all night long because my cat was crying in pain. She came in there as a happy cat and now she's crying. She never ever is violent and the nurse that was restraining my cat was holding the name of her neck so hard that my cat eyeballs were pulled open! What the fuck! I cannot wait to get a hold of these people to let them know. I'm so glad I was in the fucking room and I don't know how aggressive they would've been if I wasn't in the room. I loved Dr Nixon. Great vet. The practice of the clinic have changed a lot. Went there for years..., well visits, spays, vaccines.... But when my dog was sick - they would not see him and referred him to the emergency vet - not even open. When they called me back to try to do customer recovery- it somehow ended up being my problem. Bottom line- good vets / bad practices. You don't get the easy money and then not be available when my dog is sick. Really made me sad. read more

2 weeks ago I went in with my dog.Having a severe yeast infection in her right ear.It was so bad her ear was swollen and bleeding and they charged me for 2 full doses of medication and only gave me.One dose a half dose in each ear not thinking about it tell I left and called them back the next day asking about why they gave her a half a dose in the ear and they charged me for two full does and her ear is still infected and swollen and bleeding and they keep saying they will call me back and it has been two weeks and I call 3 times a week for the last week and her ear is still infected. I have been taking my small dog to Clock tower for about 7 years now. He is a timid little guy who can, when scared, nip. They always handle him so carefully and gently. The vet techs are great, quick, and kind. The vet I haven't seen much as my dog hasn't been sick much, but on the few occasions I did need to interact with the vet, it was a positive experience. The one and only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that the waiting room is small, and mixing large aggressive dogs and small timid dogs isn't really a good idea. Perhaps taking the aggressive dog to an exam room to keep the others safer and put owners at ease might be worth thinking about. The owner of a large aggressive dog told me today my dog was a "snack" and she had to hold on tight so her dog didn't attack. Needless to say my dog stayed in my arms the whole time. I took my dog here for about a year. and a half. The vets we saw were all top-notch. About a year ago, one of the reception took it upon herself to RAISE HER VOICE AT me. Still don't know why. Recently, a woman in reception hung up on me after I asked a question. I was not impressed with staff in either incident. I did not detach from the relationship after the first incident, because I liked the Vets so much. But the second time has sent me off and running to another practice. These kids are just too much - thinking they've got it all figured out and can condescend to a client. For Heaven's Sake!! Great place to bring your fur babies for care. Our 6 year old Pittie had a small Cyst on her side that started to grow and was bothering her. Since we moved her from California we had not found a vet for our dogs. I asked my niece and she recommended the one she use to work out in Lincoln, although we are in Bellevue, so it would be a 40 minute trip. We are so glad we made that trip. The staff was awesome and the level of care from the doctor was great. Everyone was very professional and caring, all our 3 dogs will be going to Clock Tower. The pricing was fair, upfront, and they did not nickle and dime us for everything. Our Shadow had surgery to remove the Cyst, her nails done while she was under, pre-surgery blood work, take home medication, and the cone for under 300 dollars, a super fair price. When they were on the way home the clinic called me as they forgot to give us the take home instructions and emailed me a copy so we could better care for our Shadow. If you are new to the area or just unhappy with your Vet, try them you will be very happy. read more

I was recommended Clock Tower by a friend. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. The staff are rude and short. I brought my cat in for a check-up, the vet proceeded to take my cat in without asking any questions or even making eye contact with me (He also seemed thoroughly upset that he was dealing with a cat instead of a dog). After 10 minutes and hearing a huge, painful yelp from my cat in another room, a different vet brought my baby out and proceeded to tell me sarcastically "He really didn't like that" and that I should bring my own kennel next time (even though my previous visit they said leashing my cat was fine). She didn't talk about nor seem interested in answering any questions about my cats condition. After being left in the door, I paid and was pushed out the door. The issue my cat has IS happening again (go figure) and I will NOT be returning to Clock Tower. Bye now :) read more

We have had nothing but positive experiences with every visit to the vet. We have a dog and a cat that both have been seen routinely by various vets at this clinic over the course of many years. Waiting time has always been reasonable, the level of care always professional and we were never pressured into anything that wasn't necessary. On top of it, last I checked this was the cheapest place to purchase Frontline. The pricing has been very competitive and I definitely recommend this veterinary clinic. read more

I have been taking my fur babies here for 3 years now. I love the prices and the staff. They are always very kind and attentive to my pets needs. They work with you to get into see the vet. We have never had an issue with them. Are they the cheapest out there? No but cheapest isn't always better. I feel like I get the best care for not crazy expense. The vets at clock tower vets are wonderful they take the time to make you feel comfortable about what is going on with your pet. In my case I have both dogs (ages 13, 6, & 5) and cats (ages 8, 6, 5 & 6 mo) they have all been spayed and neutered there. One of my dogs suffers from horrible allergies and one almost died of a Kidney infection. Both are doing fine. Also the Techs that work there are awesome. They really care about your animals and you! I loved the female doctor who used to work at this clinic more than a year ago. She has moved to Omaha. She was a very loving and caring and gentle doctor. But I don't feel the same ever since she has left. The worst experience I had was when they refused to see my dog when she desperately needed to see a vet right after she had numerous seizures and was suffering. I am extremely disappointed with how non-caring this clinic is. Of course, after this experience, I immediately switched my pets out of this clinic and have transferred them to a very caring clinic. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone. read more

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The vets are professional and informative. They are great with my pets. They take time to answer my questions and to calm my dog down when she gets nervous when there are a lot of other dogs in the office. I would highly recommend this office. read more

I brought my 2 dogs into the vet a couple of Saturdays ago just for shots. It was the WORST experience ever. So basically one of my dogs has been on prozac since last December because sometimes she isn't the nicest to her sister :) Anyway I told Dr. S that she was on prozac from a different vet because when I had called to ask this clinic the person who answered the phone said they don't give dogs medicine for behavior issues. That's why I went somewhere else. The vet was very rude and said she had no idea that my dog was not nice to my other dog and I hadn't been there in two years which is not the case. We had physicals done last year. She then said "why don't you just go to that vet then" and "you are throwing a lot of negativity right now." I understand that I had not been there for my dog being attacked because it has always been after hours so I have to take her elsewhere. Guarantee this is not the first time I have told her. She obviously does not know her patients as she has been mispronouncing my dogs name since she started even though I always correct her. Also when I told her my dog was on prozac and she said I don't know what that has to do with her loosing weight whereas I talked to two vets and they both said this is a side effect. And finally my dog has some back issues and the way she was sliding around and scared of the scale the vet was very rough with her. I have been going to Clocktower since before the new vets were ever even there. Dr B was the absolute best! I will never step into that vet clinic again! Yes the prices are cheaper but to be treated so disrespectfully I would rather pay a little more to get better service. An update: Dr S called me on Friday about this post on their facebook page and then they had it removed because I'm assuming they don't want the negativity on their page. Doesn't look good for them. I had messaged them and asked for the vet to call me back on Monday and it's Wednesday and I have yet to hear from her. read more
