They always comment on my dogs. My last visit, I added a shampoo and brush out. They added an extra 5 dollar charge on my Aussi-corgi (Auggie). The groomer said she was heavily matted! I did bit know my dog was matted, because she looked fine! She explained that double coated dogs coats can "lay down" on the skin and create a layer of fur. This dog has had heat stroke issues for a few years now. After this grooming, and the removal of all the undercoat, she is cooling off properly! The groomer knows her stuff! Thank you! The boarding rates are the best in town. But with all the add one such as day play and walks, they are the same rates as everyone. Fair enough! My dogs love this place, and so do I.

Paying over $650 to board two dogs for five days, and getting them back covered in ticks, their toys were never even taken out of the bag we dropped them off with, and our other dog had feces covering his hair. One dog was due for a vet check, and the only info we received from that was a quote to clean his teeth, no weight, no break down of the visit itself, nothing other than the additional $220 charge.

After picking her up the first weekend, we were told that all was good and she was extremely sweet. Then, the following day, we received a call that she is "not welcome because she is dog reactive". Also told that she wasn't aggressive, just hyper focused on the other dogs (which i am already very aware of and THEY were made very aware of). I understand that not all places have to ability to board dog reactive dogs, but they were warned MULTIPLE times and we were counting on them. Would like to see better communication.

Let me start by saying I'm not one to write reviews at all, let alone a bad one. This was truly one…read moreof the worst and strangest customer experiences I've had, handled in the most unprofessional manner. I would urge you to read this before considering giving these people your business. I called to ask if they'd be able to get my puppy in for a nail trimming, they let me know that service is offered upon walk in, so I brought him in. When I arrived, I told one of the women working there that I'd called for a nail trim, and without asking a single question other than my dog's name, or sharing any information at all about the process, pricing, questions/concerns, etc. she pulled him out of my arms and carried him to the back. I stood in the doorway to watch, as I hadn't been instructed to do anything otherwise. I was already starting to feel uneasy as the place smelled gross and didn't look clean. I then realized she was fully distracted as she started trimming his nails, and was yelling at a dog that was wandering the floor. My puppy looked super uncomfortable (he is otherwise a very calm pup). I asked her if I should come back there to comfort him, she said no and "this is all normal". My puppy jumped nervously when she trimmed the next nail - she said "ooooh buddy, did I getcha?" and checked his paw to confirm she'd trimmed it too short and he was bleeding. She applied a sterile powder and then dropped the container and yelled "there goes 30 bucks!!". At that point I said I was uncomfortable with her continuing, which two other groomers heard as they were standing in the doorway next to me, but again, she said "this is all normal" (which shouldn't matter if a customer says they're uncomfortable) and continued anyway. She kept saying "did I getcha?" which made me think maybe she'd cut him again, but the powder was all spilled at this point so I'm not really sure how she would have treated it if she had. Once she finished she brought my puppy back to me and I was visibly upset. I told her he'd never been cut by any other groomer before, and that I was uncomfortable with how this whole interaction had gone as it was very unprofessional. She said "there isn't a dotted line we do the best we can". Fine, but should have been handled better. I told her she didn't allow any time for questions/concerns before taking him, didn't share pricing, etc. as mentioned above. Her response was condescending, saying "well I thought we had a great time!". I shared that as a customer, it doesn't really matter if YOU think you had a great time, I had a really poor experience. I asked if they clean the nail trimming equipment they use between dogs - as a relatively new dog parent I was worried about him being susceptible to an infection since she cut him - to which she replied "no we do not". At that point, I was ready to get out of there and asked how much the services would be - still happy to pay even after such a poor experience. As she walked away, she replied "you know what, don't worry about it - since that's what you came in here looking for anyway" - insinuating that I went in there intending not to pay, and adding insult to injury. Incredibly rude - just an awful experience all around.

I refuse to switch veterinarians as I love Dr. Klone and her team way too much. They have always provided top-notch care at a fair price. They used to have several pets they would foster if a client passed away etc. You knew they would find them good caring homes, so I asked the last vet I went to there if they would help with that if I needed them. You would have thought I asked him to be a sperm donor, he was so appalled. Of course, I felt like a prize moron. Maybe he could have just explained that they couldn't? I ended up tracking down one of their past vets, and moved to where she went. It's been years since I visited, and maybe I'm not being fair, but it was really traumatic losing the small-town feel of that place. Another casualty of COVID? The one place I really knew I could count on to care for my pets even if I couldn't.

They kept him for 3 days, I was told "dehydration", sent home with crazy expensive food that he barely picked at, and I watched him RAPIDLY waste away in the comfort of my own home, where he passed away with me 2 nights after I brought him home. Moving forward - got a new dog. She's small and feisty, but as long as you respect her bubble and earn her trust, she warms right up to anyone. I was at a shared appointment - my mom had her dog, and I had mine - same room, just to have a quick thins done for both. While My mom's dog was being treated, Dr. Shlenker came in unannounced, walked right over to my dog who was facing me on my lap, and jabbed her with a shot - no notice. My dog LOST IT. The entire thing was HIGHLY unprofessional. Not to mention, when we were greeted initially, it came with a lot of attitude and absolutely NO effort to help my "more than vocal" jack russell comfortable in possibly another area. Since they moved - quality in care has TANKED. Prices have gotten absolutely OUTRAGEOUS, so for the horrendous cost (of ANY treatment/food) paired with absolute GARBAGE care..........we are SOOOOOOOO DONE. My family has been going their for years - maybe had 10 pets there over the years? I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy to them now. They run like a careless factory and nickel & dime you for the most ridiculous things. I've actually spoken to several other PAST customers recently who shared similar stories about pets getting horrible care, randomly dying, employees being heartless and mean. I will NOT be back. And I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY encourage anyone else to spend time looking elsewhere. There are plenty of other vets in Lincoln that offer far superior care & pricing. Clocktower has lost the pot.
