He went to the Home Depot and bought their standard flat gasket and he said "many times you can use other gaskets." He charged me $150, for something any DIY can do. The leak is still an issue and I saw that his gasket from The Home Depot didn't even fit. I found a better fitting gasket, but it has not been good enough. I later told Mike about his work, but he didn't offer anything. I'm seeing now that I need a certain beveled gasket, thinner than the one sold at the Home Depot and am in the process of looking for it. I initially called to have my kitchen sink cleared of a stoppage. They bring in a snake and proceed to snake from under the sink. It took them a while and ultimately, they were unable to get it cleared. Ok, sometimes at the end of the day we don't have on our thinking caps and we are not as quick witted as we could be. Why do people ask stupid questions like why do I need your Master Plumber's License? Only people on Staten Island would be stupid enough to get angry at a customer for asking such a thing. Nothing nefarious about that question when you want to confirm you are doing business with a LICENSED AND INSURED company. GTFOH. Making him look bad in front of the boss? CTFU. Boss should know smart people hire companies that their bona fides in order. Rates seemed fair. They took all the stuff they bought in back out and left the little mess they made (no problem) I'll leave it to clean up after I get the sink fixed. Would you go to a doctor and not know if he is licensed to practice medicine? Want just anyone working on your electric? I don't. The rest of Staten Island can do what they want. I was not charged, though by the time I went up to get checkbook to come back down to see how much I should give them for trying (not what they quoted me), they were already gone.

H2O piping was the first to respond. He provided a time on the same day and fixed the entire issue in less than 1/2 hour. The entire sink faucet and hose was replaced and plumbers glue applied to the PVC pipe securely and tested. Decent price too!!! Hire this guy for your plumbing needs!!!

I gave him the job Day of Job: He said he would arrive at 9 on Wednesday. He showed up to my house 2hrs late. He texted to let me know he was running late at 8:30. I texted him at 9:30 to inquire about his ETA, he said he would arrive at 10. He got to my house at 11. He set up the job and started working. 10 minutes in, he tells me he has the wrong part and that he needs to go get the correct part. This was frustrating since my ceiling was open when he gave me the quote. The short story here is that he is unable to get the part - he tells me that he will return on saturday at 9am. The next day: I text him to confirm saturday 9am on Thursday at the end of the day. He confirms. Saturday: He does not respond to texts or phone calls at all. He does not show This was unprofessional and an absolute waste of my time. He damaged a temporary fix I had in place by removing and partially reinstalling my toilet on wednesday, which meant that no one in my family could use that toilet again for several days. I'll never get that time back. Had i known that he was going to stand me up on saturday, I would have had another plumber come and do the work.
