Camilo is both a skilled craftsman and a pleasure to deal with who efficiently completed the installation in a week compared to the estimate of a 2 week installation. DO NOT RECOMMEND CLOSET FACTORY. POOR QUALITY OF MATERIALS. IKEA IS BETTER TO HAVE AN IDEA. THERE IS NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Total for a small closet $9,114. The first time that I called, I think JULY, 1st a lady told me that I had two options to set an appointment with a designer: 1) waiting almost two months to have the designer in person in my house and to take the measurements. 2) To have the appointment on video call sooner and I take the measurements myself. I chose to have the appointment by video call. I spoked with the designer Martha on JULY, 13th and I told her exactly what I wanted with details. SEPTEMBER, 28th was the date that she found available for the installation. I was very optimistic thinking that maybe there was a free spot to do it early, but this never happened. Even though I know that one of their customers free one spot. I gave a check of $4,549.50 and signed a contract to begin the process. I had an add-on of $125 (which is irrelevant for the total amount that I paid) and the designer told me that if I don't pay, basically the company don't move forward. I didn't understand why they couldn't add that amount to the final bill. I had a few questions and I sent them to the designer on whatsapp and also by email. I never received an answer, unless I called her. Also, I needed to call several times to try to reach her. And every time that I called, her answer was: "who is this?". I assumed that this company have a big list of clients that they can't identify who is who. I went to the Store a couple of times to check the material, to see if by any chance they could move my date and also to know the designer in person. Finally, one day I met her in person because I went to the showroom and I felt like, I was a "whatever customer bothering her". The designer sent me an email with the closet created on the computer. We did basic and not relevant changes. Basically, I designed my own closet and I took the first measurements. The second measurements were taken the a guy who came almost a month after. The NIGHT BEFORE to the installation I received a TEXT MESSAGE, saying that they were not able to come for the 28th because there is a hurricane. Miami didn't have a hurricane on those days, it was Ft Myers the one who had the hurricane. People was working and doing their normal routine. They told me that will let me know when they find a spot available. MAYBE could be for a week after. Martha told me as a good seller, that is out of her hands. This was a policy of the company. After they put my nerves up, they found a spot for two days after. The closet was installed. The quality is terrible, it's not durable. The boards came up VERY DIRTY and they left them dirty. I took hours to clean the whole closet after done. The glasses door came up with a disgusting film of dirt. The wholes where you the hooks to support the shelf are missing and in different position. See the photo. The boards had many chips and scratches. The scratches don't come out with alcohol or acetone as they told me. The prices for color-wood are very high, so I picked white color. Still it's expensive. I will never do another job with this company. I don't recommend Closet Factory located on US-1 (1536 S Dixie Hwy). read more

This company is a complete SCAM and do not recommend if you are in the Coral Gables / Miami area. Not only did they take the wrong measurements which cost over 4 inches of closet space (which add ups down to a significant amount of hangers and storage space) but they tried to hide it by adding filler panels into the wall. They took over 4 visits to come out and each visit had to be monitored closely so they did not destroy pieces of my wall or parts of my apartment. Every single screw in the closet was either missing or loose, all the caps were initially missing, they never made the top valence panels and had to come back twice for those. When contacting project management, we were sent in circles or unanswered messages by every single manager and employer there. They have yet to fully respond to my complaints and still charging me full price. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I never write reviews but this was unacceptable and do not want anyone else trying to make their home or apartment a space of their own to get completely screwed over. read more

They used to be so good years ago. They actually did all our closets. Now, I wanted to redo some of my closets as our needs have changed. So many messages and calls to try to schedule something... anything... but they are just too busy and don't seem to care about past clients. Terrible job. Absolutely do not recommend it. I had previous jobs done by them and they were ok. This time it took them more than 6 months for a simple storage piece. My previous designer had lefts so I worked with Stephanie as a designer. She did not take ownership of the work, did not even come to check the work when it was done wrong the first time and disappeared after that. They came 3 times to install it with wrong pieces sizes. HORRIBLE QUALITY! The picture talks for it self!! Al the drawers make a sound when you open them and close them since day one. My closets are not even 6 months old and already the rods are rusted!! When you see the style you are supposed to get in the showroom take a lot of pictures of all the details , probably won't be what you get!! They are much better offers in the market for the same price! Above is list of the items not done I am a 69 year old senior citizen currently working full time, all my money is earned by hard work, I have no time to harass anyone, I had to take off 11 days of work for a job that was supposed to be completed in 3 days, this is only showing to me that this company is incompetent and unwilling to correct it properly as I point it out with the DOZENS of photo's I sent, Photos were sent each time after the firm left for the day, but they chose to ignore them! To say the least, this is the most unprofessional company we have dealt with. The communication between the sales people, owner and installers is horrible. We have had them in my house installed closets since Monday the 13th and it's Friday the 17th and they haven't even finished one closet as of yet. Our contract stated many items they have missed. And they are not responsive to the issues. They missed days by not showing up, missing pieces in all closets and not properly put together. I worked with Susan on a design for a custom king size Murphy bed with shelves, drawers and a wrap around desk. She was able to show me a 3D rendering up front and schedule a date right then and there. She had already done a bed for us in another property that we were happy with. We had a few minor snags w the wait time and the finishes I had picked out getting discountinued, however she was on top of it and responded promptly to all my inquiries, regardless of the time Or day. Just moved to the Gables area renovating my space now for 2 months. Had Ashlee S. that seemed nice, although it has been a nightmare say the least. Late/delayed response with next to no work done. Always putting the jobs and questions off seems to be kind of an "air head". Travels a lot "leaving town". Deposits taken and have waited long enough. I have a small walk-in closet from a 1977 ranch style house and closet factory made it cool! I scheduled an appt for the designer to come sit with us to talk, measure, blah and here's the amazing part.... 1. they delivered when they said they would 2. they installed in the time they said they would 3. they answered the phone anyways, the service industry really blows these days and if you've done construction then you know but they kept their word. we had a broken drawer within a month of installing and the salesperson drove by the house to pick up the broken piece and then returned it on her way home soon after and all fixed. no more issues after that drawer and it's been over 2 yrs. read more

Be very careful purchasing from CLOSET FACTORY they will lie to you. They offer you life time warranty and its all a lie. I had problems with the murphy bed i purchased and had them install it from day one. the Murphy bed would stay open. i had to make appointments for them to come out and repair there mistakes. After few adjustments it worked but it would rub in the corner. The technician stated there was nothing wrong it will adjust. few month later the front platform brakes in the lower right corner. I have been calling for service and emailing and there response was due to COVID it will be a while. Finally i spoke to a rep. and sent them pictures of the damage they put me on hold to speak to there manager and came back and said its not under warranty because the damage was caused by opening and closing the bed to fast. by the way never came with instructions in showing me how to open and close a murphy bed. Run!! I am so sorry that I hired this company. They are unresponsive- except when they get a bad review. They came out twice to measure and call us last minute to have it measured again. We were out of the town, but had someone be there. However, they never show up. Nor do they call to tell us they were coming. they didn't care. A customer time means nothing to them. They do not care. Then when they came to install, we are informed that all the measurement were wrong. Called the owner, but he never called me back. He does not care. So sorry that I hired them. My husband and hired closet factory to build our guest room closet, master closet and a bookcase for my husbands office. Christine was an amazing sales rep she assisted with everything I needed down to all the little details in my master closet which were a hidden jewelry cabinet and hanging clips for my boots.  Melissa from their office was thorough in explaining the process and set up all the appointments necessary with our condo association and made sure to reserve the elevators (one less thing for me to do). Let me say first I am not new to the custom design companies. I have used California Closet and Closets by Design. I had a coupon from closet factory and thought I would give it a try. MISTAKE. The designer was prompt and seemed attentive. I paid in full $2750.00 (others were half at ordering and half when finished) I waited four weeks for installation. Half way through the install the technician realized the designer had not taken into account the electrical outlets behind the dresser. A key point might have been the 55 inch TV over the dresser with cable box etc sitting on it. So five new drawers had to be cut to allow for the installation. A drawer that was supposed to be a drawer was now a hamper (not what I was told and had my daughter at the design time too, neither of us were told and drawings don't reflect HAMPER. Waited a week for that. When I spoke with the office, complained about the quality and told them the drawers appeared "flimsier" that my Closet by Design and California Closet products, I was told that it hadn't been "tightened up" After the "remade" drawers arrived and installed the technician lefts wood shavings, screws and dirt in the new drawers. Also the office executive couldn't get to the remade drawers for another week. They were uninterested and resolving an issue their designer's error and lack of communication. Ughhhh. All around this unit is not good quality compared to the other companies I have used. Forget their life time warranty, their customer service is terrible and they don't care because they already have your money. There is no incentive to make you happy as the customer. Will never use them again. I recommend Closets by Design or California Closets over Closet Factory. Can you say nearly $3000.00 mistake? read more

I got 3 estimates. Closet factory was the most expensive, but I went with them anyway because I thought you get what you pay for. Wrong. The installation date was set and I was told it would be a 3 day job, starting on a Monday in early December 2016. The week before, they told me they were running behind schedule and wouldn't be able to come Monday, other than to deliver a couple of items. They were to start Tuesday and finish by Thursday. I could write a book about all the problems we had, but for the sake of brevity, I'll just list them here: The glass for one of the desktops did not come. There were drawers that were the incorrect size. Panels that didn't fit. We had very limited height on the desk to work with because we have a low hanging window. For this reason, we were supposed to use as much space as possible on the desk height, in order to give the legs room when in a sitting position. After installing the desk, i pointed out to them that they left about an inch below the window sill. It doesn't seem like much but we already had very little to work with. Plus, it wasn't like that in the plans. They had to redo that desk. The glass top for one of the desks still hadn't arrived. They inserted a couple of drawers that did not have the right fit and then had to break them off to remove them and redo that part of the other desk. When they started building the armoire and the bar, the installers inverted the design, so I had to let them know and then they switched it to the way it was supposed to be. Then the missing glass top came in for the desk, when they installed it, they cracked the glass on the OTHER desk. So now we had to replace the other glass too. After further inspection, the glass they had just brought in, I noticed it had a very obvious 2ft scratch that I'm sure they saw, but didn't mention it. I had to call them back into the house before they left and pointed it out to them. They confirmed it and told me they would have to replace both glasses. By the time they finished the work, the 3 day installation had turned into a month. One month of me having to be here for the installers. Making sure I was home for them to come back in and out. I'm not sure how many times they were here but I would say, for one reason or another, about 15 days. And every time they came, I would have to make arrangements, move or cancel meetings, clear my schedule for that time frame so I could attend to this, etc... They were very apologetic about the whole thing and offered to make it up to me. I suggested they build out a wall unit that I needed in my living room, at cost. The manager came by my house with the designer to measure the space and told me I would have a design ready soon. When they sent me the design, they told me that it would cost $7,500 and that for all my trouble, they would take $1,500 off the price. Now, we are talking about a wall unit for a TV. Two shelves and a cabinet. A couple of drawers. That's it. They had just done my entire office for $10k. My office consists of 2 desks with glass tops, 3 glass doors, an armoire, 2 display cases, 13 shelves, 4 wood doors leading to more shelves. 4 inset LED lights. And a small walk-in closet. The cost for this was $10,500. This was already about $3,500 more expensive than my next most expensive quote. We're talking about an entire 11 x 11 room plus a closet. And they want to tell me that the wall unit for my TV would cost me $7,500 and as a courtesy to me for all my trouble, they would be willing to reduce that price to $6,000. Here is where I stopped being nice. The audacity of these people to take an opportunity to make it up to a client who has had to deal with their terrible service for over a month... instead of trying to do something good for the customer, they try to milk me for more money? The cost for them on that wall unit cannot be more than $1,000. I would have even been willing to pay that. So I got in an argument with the manager and told them that I would not be giving them any more of my business. That this was not about them making more on me, but rather making it up to me for weeks of aggravation. So I proposed that they take that $1,500 "credit" and they just give me the $1,500 credit for the previous job. I had also told him previously that if they didn't find a way to resolve this to a satisfactory conclusion, i would take my experience and make sure everyone hears of it. Obviously if they had resolved this properly, I wouldn't be writing this review. But that was a big concern for Closet Factory. So when I requested the $1,500 credit on the original job, their response was, "If we give you this credit, we don't want you to write bad reviews. I told him that if he gives me the credit, I will find that to be adequate compensation and we could both go our separate ways. He agreed on the phone. But now, I'm asking for $1,500 credit and he tells me that he never agreed to it. read more

Closet Factory went above and beyond to make our dream closet a reality. The designer took the time to count all of our shoes (which were a lot) to make sure we would have the perfect amount of shelf space for them. They allowed us to be part of the process, and were never pushy. The materials we selected ended up looking beautifully and we could not be more thrilled when they showed us the completed project! We now have a space for all of our clothing, shoes, and accessories. It was a smooth and quick process too. Sales person came to my house, literally took our money and never saw her again!! Never got a follow up call from her. After she gain commission off of a nearly $7k job!! Took nearly 2 months to build a wall unit and 2 utility closets. The dimmer for the wall unit never worked. We went on a mission and called their office endless times to only always be told that management was in a meeting aka Eric, "the manager". One of the drawers of the wall unit had a dent, which occurred during the installation process. Not to mention, they weren't properly installed, hence the dent.... We were told they'd get the drawer replaced. We are still waiting. It is now May 2019 and we closed the deal with Closet Factory, December 2018!!! Absolute disaster!!!!!!!! Horrible!!! read more

I am so so very happy with my closet and custom laundry room installation!! Closet factory went above and beyond all of our expectations. From the very beginning when Sal came to measure he was very helpful with ideas and suggestions for us to best optimize the space. Then our visit to show room was even more helpful in the process. There are so many great options and it was so ideal to actually see what was available in person instead of out of a catalog. We went ahead with some items for our closet that we would have never considered because of the recommendations given to us and because we actually got to see it in the show room. Lastly installation was quick and professional. No mess was left behind and everything came out just as it was on the rendering, well actually even better! The total experience was just absolutely stress free. (Which is so refreshing when considering any home projects.) I think closets and laundry rooms are very underrated, we underestimate how much we use them and although a closet installation may seem like a luxury it is actually an investment. We use our closet everyday and thanks to the closet factory everything is so organized and easily accessible. I love my closet and so does everyone that visits!
