Worst closet company in Tampa Bay and Orlando. With so many options I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. Designs didn't match the initial installation. Owners changed the wall a shelf was on without giving my wife or I a heads up, called it immaterial. Very poor quality fabrication and installation. Owners minimized our concerns. It took 4 times to get it right. Logan, the installation manager, was apathetic. Same owners in Tampa and Orlando. Go somewhere else. (See pictures linked.) Closet Factory installed both master closets, our kitchen pantry, our mudroom and my office. The closets were done by an installer who was great but no longer with the company. When I called again to do the mudroom and office I asked for their best designer because my office posed such a design issue for me. They sent me Eden Heftel-Ruhl who I affectionately refer to as Genius. I wanted a modern office with lots of cabinets to hold my sewing fabric but didn't want it to look like just a wall of cabinets. I also needed to be able to slide my chair back and forth while I sew and work on the computer. The extra long desk needed center support so Eden was able to make it functional and accomplish the goal. Eden worked very close with me to come up with the look I wanted and was always friendly and professional. Best of all, she's so amazing at what she does that she can come up with ideas most just can't, or won't. Are they expensive? Yes. But anything "custom" is expensive regardless of how you look at it. I compared them with Closets by Design when doing our closets and pantry and there was no comparison. The latter wouldn't go as tall and wouldn't round the corners in my pantry. The designers were night and day too. The first designer for Closet Factory was here for over 2 hours. Closets by Design was in and out in 30 mins and the whole process felt rushed. The installation process went well for everything too. The 2 different installers were very competent and paid attention to detail. There were a few minor hiccups but everything was resolved well and in a timely manner. My garage cabinets get installed next week and I wish there was more work for Closet Factory to do here because Eden is just the best! I highly recommend her services for anyone looking for the best in closet/cabinet design. read more

Poor experience with the carpenter they sent to do our installation. He was a nice guy with poor English skills and just could not handle any details as though he was a bulk framer of houses. The quality was less than expected in too many ways when it started to get built and I saw the real materials. It is just like the material you can buy at Lowe's or Home Depot with the cam locks like IKEA but you are paying for better. I found about 15 errors and they fixed 12 of them and I got tired of demanding corrections. There is another Southern FL cabinet maker we chose for the next much larger project and we only found 2 quality errors. read more

We paid thousands of dollars  for 4 closets from your salesperson person ,Edith. She was nice and informative but the product , installation and finishing were terrible. The 1st delivery was damaged  ,missing pieces and  a lot did not fit right. The quality and workmanship were bad. We paid an extra $200 for what the Closet Factory  called "soft close". The drawers are  still very hard to push in and out .They should be called "Hard to close" The owner refunded us the $200 for the soft close feature that did not workproperty . They should have re-installed the drawers so they can open and close with a slight push or pull. I totally do NOT recommend this company. Their closets are a rip off. read more

To whom ever is responding back to my review, if this is what you are told everything you have mentioned was twisted around to look good, first i was told they will be out Friday March 3rd and it will be a one day installation(i know i was contracted for 2 days but this is what was said to me during our phone conversation), second i did try to reschedule but changed arrangements not to be charged the 10% fee you told me that i would be charged, third i was told by you guys that i can leave the installers in my home while they work which i did and that gave them the opportunity to leave without an unfinished product.. and last i was not told about not having the glass doors until i called your assistant about the job not being finished. bottom line my words being twisted proves to me the type of business im dealing with... i will say i did recently get a call from you guys about squeezing me in earlier than the 20 days they quoted to finish an unfinished job.... please do better its about the people you are working for that is spending the not so cheap hard earned money, i wanted this to be a wow! experience for my wife now its a lets get it over with.... read more

$7000 worth of closet work and they didn't show up on the job until 11am for 2 days. When we explained that we had to leave to pick up our daughter from school they were appalled, couldn't understand why, and even wanted me to leave the tech in my home without anyone available. It wasn't a mystery that we had to pick our kid up from school and my husband works from home making it even more accessible Sylvia was our sales rep. She basically told us she would be checking in on install day- never happened, the step by step hand crafted custom planning and checking in sounded good in the consultation but didn't happen then because we couldn't accommodate "their" schedule because God forbid we actually had a child to pick up, they took the original tech working on our closets (mind you who came alone) we were under the impression this would be a more then 1 person job: and they took him away off our job, I wrote emails and called the company, they didn't finish the job, then sent a third party gentleman who was local to lakeland God knows where he came from to "finish the job" he drilled inappropriate holes, hardware was falling off and not screwed in properly, he used the wrong size drill and ruined the face of the cabinets, he even left one of the handles with only 1 screw when I went to grab on the cabinet I almost slipped because the handle spun around because it was only 1 screw and no one told us, etc it took multiple visits and INVASIVE visits at that, 2 times this man was in our home past 7pm at night against my request. I just ate the crap to get the job done and had my husband take over because I couldn't handle the stress it was causing Terrible experience not what we paid for, basically they made excuses that because they are out of Tampa that's why they showed up to start work at 11am- yeah that's not acceptable and don't advertise in polk county if you can't keep your promises. No one not even one time (Sylvia or Lori) even called after all of this to see if we were satisfied with our product, but they sure ran that credit card without a problem Horrible experience never again! My consultant Terry spent a lot of time with me at my home on more than one occasion planning out my closet designs. She had plans drawn for 4 of my closets and in the end, I decided to start with 2 of them. She was supportive of that and prices were fair to other comparisons. I did receive copies of the plans and even made changes after thinking on it and they revised the plans with no problem! Ramon, my installer, was so efficient and quiet. He set up everything outside and had my closets done in no time! He left it cleaner than when he started and was very kind! I'd use both Terry and Ramon again for sure! read more

AVOID CLOSET FACTORY- -DO NOT CALL THEM, DO NOT HIRE THEM. I put out a large residential job for bids to 4 companies. I have a negative warning about only one: Closet Factory . HARD-SELL SALES PLOY - THEY DO NOT LET YOU HAVE A PAPER OR DIGITAL COPIES OF YOUR DESIGN. Jessica, my designer, required me to go through a long presentation on her laptop, where you see the computer design on a screen and you have to make decisions or changes there. It takes too much time; you will have nothing to take with you to think about; and you have to hope to have memorized it. If you want to see your design again, you have to see it on her screen during another appointment. The designer reluctantly e-mailed me photos of her computer screen only, which bordered onr ridiculous. THEY COPIED DESIGNS BY OTHER BIDDERS Jessica did not hesitate to ask (in writing via e-mail) that I provide the design drawings from one of her competitiors so she could design part of the project. I was astounded at this blatent attempt at plagerism. IF YOU DO NOT GIVE THEM THE JOB, YOU ARE IN FOR AN INSULTING , UNPLEASANT DRESSING-DOWN I was kind enough to phone each vendor/bidder who did not get the job to call and thank them for their kind efforts, including Closet Factory. Jessica launched into a most insulting rant, where, among other angry outbursts, she accused me of taking her designs and providing them to a competitor and getting them to under-bid Closet Factory. I had not done this; she had no basis for saying it; and ironically Closet Factory/Jessica is the only closet company that asked me to send competitors' drawings so they could use them! Jessica's behavior shows that she either forgot that she had put her request in writing, or she is simply a most angry, uprofessional person. NON-EXISTANT, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE I tried twice to call Jessia's local manager about all of this. No manager would take my call. I stated the reason for my calls: to provide feedback on the work of his company and my designer. I left messages. Nothing. Jack Green, the newest manager, was actually there, but I was told he was "too busy to take my call." He never called. Mr. Green and Closet Factory apparantly do not care to hear from their customers. In summary, do not ever use Closet Factory. If you do, you will have to endure a long sales presentation; you may not be given copies of your design; you may possibly be shown designs actually done by someone else; you may be subject to a nasty rant by phone if you do not hirie them; and you may have zero customer service. read more

Dishonest doesn't honor it's contracts! Sylvia Design Consultant came to my home twice. On second visit signed contract for two projects. Two days later Sylvia texted (not called) me to say she made error and cost was $300+ more. Could not believe it and to text me how unprofessional! Contracted with Closet Factory for a dresser built in. Sales girl was not specific as to design and failed to notice electrical access was needed in spite of the fact a 65inch tv was hanging above it. Company was unresponsive and not interested in resolving design flaws by their employee. Have used Closets by Design and wished I had used them. I got a coupon for Closet Factory and thought I would try them wished I had stuck with another company. I think they were more expensive. I would never use them again. read more

From beginning to end, Closet Factory made this process fun and exciting! Jessica came to my home to help design cabinetry that would make my home office look professional enough to bring clients in. I couldn't be happier with the result! Jessica helped me add the personal touches like window seating that really make it look special. Terrible. Just like the other reviews say. They will make a consultation appointment on a Saturday two weeks in advance, then not show up, call to cancel or pick up when you try to reach them. Of course, it's no issue to them that you've scheduled other things you have going on around their proposed consultation time. I'd give them zero stars if I could...guess they can have the one star since never got to see their work and it might be ok. Whatevs, plenty of other closet companies in the area. I wanted a weekday appointment but they insisted they only had someone available on Saturday so I agreed for an early morning appointment. Only for no one to show up. Closet Factory installed all the closets in my house and my pantry seven years ago. I was very happy with the quality and price. They even came out to do repairs later. We've recently had some issues that need repairing. They now claim to have no record of me in their system despite the fact that I and my builder am certain they installed the closets. Unfortunately, theirs are the only papers from our construction that I cannot find. No one will come do the repairs even though I am willing to pay to have them done. I contracted with Closet Factory in Tampa to install a small closet on June 25th. Original contract for install on July 18th. Only after my call to confirm the install appointment at 6:30pm the night before did I get a call to cancel my appt. In addition,I had rearranged my travel plans to accommodate this appt. Then 2nd appt to install on Aug 3rd to arrive between 9-10am. 2 installers arrived at 10:45am. After an hour of installing I discovered they had brought wrong cabinet hardware. 2 hour break to have a 3rd installer deliver correct hardware and missing cabinet pieces. Also discovered hanging bar brackets wrong color. Installer had to return the next day ( again late 30 min this time). Installer came with new bars / brackets.... Not the bars that I ordered... I was sooo frustrated at this time I agreed to let him install the bars in fear yet another day would be needed for install! Although Tony ( installer) was terrific....this company lacks follow up and customer service. Helen my designer never once called to check on the install .... I called her to voice my disapproval . All I can say is BUYER BEWARE!!! read more
