I appreciated them doing so, though I still found the process and limitations a heavy slog to go through. Awful experience beginning to end. Danielle Botts was the designer. Brandon was the installer and helper was Dustin. Danielle was only concerned with the sale. She didn't bother to inquire how old the existing closet was just that it would be removed by installer. The installers ripped out the previous closet with such force they literally broke the ceiling and left huge holes throughout the entire closet. They did nothing to minimize the damage. Like I said they ripped out with no regard for damage they were causing. Had Danielle taken the time to asses my situation she probably could have recommended to take the closet out myself and repair any issues prior to installation. Or I would have opted to pay for backing. I now have a broken ceiling and a closet full of holes. Again it's all about money and not customer satisfaction. We were not dealing with an open space situation here. I just wish she had advised differently. On install day I texted with the Danielle and she never addressed my concerns or even reached back out. She said it was her responsibility to put in a work order to repair damage, but as of now I have not heard back from anyone. Should they make this right then I will come back and update this review, but for now BUYER BEWARE. read more

15 years after I had my large master closet installed, I hired Closet by Design to redo my daughter's closet recently. I have to say that I can't be more pleased. My sweet designer Danielle took an exceptionally odd shaped walk-in and made it make sense. I tried to fight her because I thought we could do all three walls, but she gave us more storage using 2 walls. I couldn't be happier. I agree with the other reviews on here. This company is highly unethical. I made a $699 deposit. Their lead time was 6 weeks. When I found a cheaper quote and better lead time, they refused to refund my deposit even though they didn't purchase any materials. The manager I spoke with has an entitled 'who cares' attitude. They don't care about ethics - it's all about a signed contract. How they sleep at night is beyond me. Trust all of the reviews here. Do not use this company! read more

After my closet collapsed, I interviewed six companies with similar designs and competitively priced quotes with only a couple of them. I chose Closets By Design because they were competitively priced and they could meet my turnaround time, where the others couldn't. My designer was great she taught me things that I didn't know about closet design and options and gave me suggestions when I was leaning towards a higher priced design. I'm very happy with the work we did together to design a custom closet to meet our needs. The installers were on time, organized and professional. They cleaned up after themselves and we're great to work with. within a couple of hours they were done installing and my closet was back together and my life was no longer chaotic in my bedroom! From sales to install, our Closets by Design custom closet experience was excellent. Our designer did such a great job of maximizing our modest shared master closet that it literally feels like we have three times the space! With each appointment there were call and text reminders, which works great for me bc I get burned out on emails! And even when, after our install, we noticed some gaps due to quirks with our new construction home, the team helped straighten things out and promptly scheduled an installation expert to add little pieces of trim which have just knocked it out of the park. We don't usually write too many reviews but when we find a great place we do. We recently relocated from the East Coast and are currently living full time in beautiful Sarasota. My husband and I are slowing renovating a 1968 ranch (needs lots of TLC), so we were looking for an affordable custom closet solution and found Closets by Design through our monthly flyer. We read several reviews on different forums all with people giving great reviews so we gave them a call. Since we are tight on space, we needed our master/guest bedrooms and garage closets totally functional. The entire process was perfect from start to finish, especially working with our designer, Dani Thatcher. We have to say she was truly amazing. She was very patient and always available to answer questions as well as make suggestions/changes that we needed. She explained everything upfront and was very transparent. Our installers were efficient, pleasant and polite. The eeason for four stars and not five was we had a glitch in the design of my pantry. Soneone at the office changed the measurements abd the pantry was incorrectly done. Howdver, CBD remedied the situation and re-did my pantry quickly. Overall, happy with the result. read more

We got two reach-in closets installed last week - and we are very pleased. Our designer (Bev) was fantastic - she had lots of great ideas; she checked with the teams to ensure that some craziness in one of our closets could work (they figured out how to make it work... woo hoo!); Bev was very patient and worked with us through some redesigns as we thought about what we wanted. The installers were efficient and pleasant and cleaned up thoroughly. The only problem was the long time from finalizing the design to the installation... with the quality of the material and workmanship, it was worth the wait! read more

I thought about installing closet setups in both of our master bedroom closets. I looked at IKEA and they had all the components. But when I thought about the amount of work to customize it for us, I gave Closets by Design a call. Sure they are more expensive than IKEA, but they designed it to take advantage of every square inch of the space. They gave us many options, but did not push them. Their installation was done in an afternoon by two installers and was done correctly and to our specifications. It was definitely worth having them do it rather than a DIY project. read more

From the start to finish by far the most conscientious people I have met. Our sales rep arrived on time and provided a detailed quote with sketches within hours. Great attention to design based on our on-site consultation. The installers finished the job quicker then expected and after each day cleaned up the work site and vacuumed. As the job progressed we were informed of what was completed and the plan for the following day. The whole job took 3 days to install but our closets and pantry look amazing. We definitely have additional projects coming up with them. There is only one item we were slightly disappointed with. In some of the drawers, the pull handles they used power tools for the screws which stripped the heads causing sharp burrs. A bad thing around clothing. But they are coming to replace them them all, no questions asked. Not the cheapest closet company but with the lifetime warranty and the awesome people we dealt with I would choose them again in an instance. read more

The entire experience was stress-free and seamless, from the rep who called to set up my consultation, to the rep that came and designed/sketched the closet at my home, to the follow up reminders leading up to the installation and the installation itself. This was the easiest process I've encountered while moving into my new construction home (and there have been a lot!). Their prices were fair and the lowest (I got 4 quotes to compare). My closet looks great. Took about 3 hours to install. my space is maximized which helps a lot. From the planning stages all the way to installing was an easy process. this is not a cheap endeavor. But it is guaranteed for life. The only disappointing thing was that the installers were supposed to be here between 830 and 10 and I heard nothing from them and they were about 20 minutes late. It would've been nice to just have a phone call saying we're on our way. It was a minor inconvenience. read more
