It's difficult to review churches because I believe they are very dependent on your life needs at the time. Different churches for different needs. Right now I'm loving enjoying having a young professional demographic and community. Our "Young Adults" group for lack of a better term is a great group of people that love to get together. Whether that's barbecues, boats, camping, or just lunch. Some singles, most are young marrieds, but that growing population of young marrieds with babies and small children might quickly over take that section. While many of our members come from "COC" background, it doesn't have that traditional vibe. Our worship team does an awesome job of integrating times of worship with both the new and the old. We aren't constrained by conservative dogma so that allows us to enjoy worship in any form. Churches overall (I believe) are supposed to be, and have, that family feel. GB definitely has that. Our Youth Minister, Ben Green is talented and enthusiastic! Our lead pastor, Travis, has professional, prepared sermons each week. Always happy to have coffee and chat more about my Chattanooga family.

This is a very unified, debt-free church with a young, driven, biblical pastor in Dr. Jeremy Roberts. The children's ministry and student ministry both use the same curriculum so they teach, build on and add biblical teaching (precept upon precept) as they grow and the leaders love Jesus and care about our kids. This is a mission-minded church with the mission statement, "Reaching our community, America and the world for Jesus Christ." If you're new to the area and haven't found a church, have never attended, been out for a long time or aren't sure about anything, this is a great church for you!

We found the worship experience has been great. The messages have consistently nourished us, the music uplifting and well done. We've gotten involved in a fellowship group and have grown in friendships and have been enriched by the many ways the church and its members are involved in the community and the world. The worship was so God honoring a beautiful and the message was good. The only thing that was missing to us, was it was not very welcoming. Although people appeared to be connecting to one another which was beautiful to see. There was nothing addressing newcomers, someone walking in new, no greeters, no way of knowing what was next if you wanted this to become your church home. The space is limited so no place really to connect (like lobby, this one is VERY small) Definitely needs some sort of way for new combers to feel welcomed even if it was mentioned from the pupit, like if this is your first time, we would like to welcome you and so in so is available for questions after the service, or please fill out this welcome card and one of our staff will contact you. Just really lacked in this area. But I have to say the worship was so beautiful.

I am a substitute teacher, and I was asked to substitute for Ms. Hawkin's class (3rd grade) that day. When I arrived that morning, the Thrasher staff informed me that a 3rd grader had died in a tragic automobile accident the evening before. I was incredibly both blessed and impressed to find Dr. Gregg in the classroom before the students arrived. He first prayed with us, prior to the students coming into the classroom. He then put each student at ease by introducing himself to each student, and giving them a "fist" hug. While the rest of the day was quite emotional with these young ones experiencing a loss, Dr. Gregg was incredible at easing the pain and suffering we all were experiencing that day. God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit be with you Dr. Gregg...you were terrific!

I find the people sweet kind and loving people but I am concerned with the message and the way they convey Gods message. You have Block buster Sunday where this pass Sunday you based your message on Andy and Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story. While I realize your intentions were good they were missing the true teachings of God. Sunday is the Lords day. A day to honor and worship to God. It's his holy day. I felt that God was not fully honored. This way Of teaching may be ok for children ages 3 to 8 but not on a Sunday. Maybe on a Wed. Nite service. Also you had brite flashing lights like on a Broadway musical And dancers up on stage and one lady(last week) dressed in a very small outfit that had sequins and was not appropriate in showing God honor. The flashing lights From what I ve read in previous reviews cause people with health issues to have seizures. And I can testify that the music While I too love loud music this made my chest vibrate. Please know I know many of Your members and I love them as well as all of you and I ve been in much prayer about this and asked God to guide in my words not to offend but only to advise. I just felt God was not honored or put first.
