I went back because I really wanted to try their Korean Fried chicken wings. If you've read my previous review and then you know that I applaud Cloud Tea for providing different ethic cuisine (especially korean) here in the LITH, Algonquin, and CL area. I had no lunch plans and I knew exactly what I wanted for lunch. I arrive and the girl at the counter was having a bad day and I could tell. She avoided all any eye contact with me, she did not want to engage in any small talk and she was there to receive a pay check and that was that. Ok fine, I get it we all have bad days, just get me my food then. I ask her "how spicy is the spicy check wings?" So goes, "they are alright spicy." WTF, I'm giving a puzzling look and I'm not sure how to respond to that statement but whatever, I get it your cat died, your bf just broke up with you, your car insurance just went up 5%, sure I get it. I place an order for the spicy chicken wings and I wait. I take in the ambiance and it's a great place to chill and grab some bubble tea and lunch. I wait about ten mins and my wings are ready! When I walked up to get my wings I noticed there was some mochinut and I had to get some! I get three flavors, strawberry, taro, and green tea and then I head home to sample the food with my family. First up were the wings, they were scary looking but in a spicy kind of way. Was my stomach and whatever after comes after ready for these wings? I sure hope so! So I went in for my first bite and I was pleasantly surprised. The wings were super good! The flavoring and everything was fire, flame, hit the spot good. And the spice level was 'alright' (see what I did there?), it had a kick but nothing that my kids couldn't handle. My wife enjoyed the wings as well and she said they were good. I'm glad I stopped by and got the fried chicken wings to try because they were amazingly delicious and I'll be back for more. I finished off my lunch and tried some mochinut and they were good as well and you don't have any complaints from me on the food. The service on the other hand, get a new girl who wants to come to work and put on a smile. Like I said I understand we all have bad days but for me to write it in my review it must have been really bad. Great job on the food Cloud Tea. Excited to have a boba place in this area! We got brown sugar coconut black milk tea (non dairy), red bean milk cloud tea, original fried chicken (8 piece), and the following Korean hot dogs - potato dog, cheeto dog, original hot dog. I was happy to see non dairy options - but you do have to ask at the front which drinks can be made dairy free - would be nice if the menu showed which ones. We enjoyed the bubble teas, but I will request less sugar next time! Here you have to shake the drinks on your own and I had to be careful because the top cover of my drink wasn't fully sealed. The wings were delicious, and we were excited to try the Korean hot dogs. Our favorite was the potato dog but we did note it's a bit expensive for the amount of food you get in them - but it is a novelty food and a nice food to try. The inside only has a few benches and no other furniture yet. Our total for all the above food was $50. We will be back mainly to try the other bubble teas and to get the fried chicken! read more

The chicken wing we ordered was so good. It probably deserves five stars. But the rest are so mediocre, especially for the price. I always love the Chinese crepe which is a famous street food in China - but the one I ordered was way too saucy and not great. I had Oreo foam milk tea - and it's way too sweet and watery. You can adjust your sugar level - but the original tastes awful to me. Service is non exist - the staff member was so cold. I'd come back only for the wings - but they are so pricy too. read more

Amazing bubble tea place in Algonquin! They have a huge menu with lots of food items, like Korean chicken and hot dogs. They also have many different toppings. I opted for their boba, which was an excellent choice. I wish there was more seating inside, but for carry out, it was easy to order and head out the door. read more

With such a large menu, particularly for drinks, as well as items that I'm not likely to find at every mom-and-pop slop shop, I imagine I'll be returning at least once in the future. But knowing what I know now will hopefully alter my experience for the better. At time of writing, this appears to be a fairly new restaurant, so I'm grading a bit on a curve. But everything was just "okay." The interior features a few benches for patrons, as well as a touch-screen ordering system like many fast service restaurants. It all gave the impression that this is the type of place that wants to serve you, then send you shuffling out the door. Which is fine, but a shopping center parking lot isn't the most receptive area to pedestrians enjoying Korean dogs and boba. And the time it took to get a few dogs, some chicken, and two drinks didn't align with the "here's your food, there's the door" sentiment I was feeling; if the place isn't set up for me to hang out, don't make me hang out. Again, the food and drinks were okay, but between two of their dogs and the fried chicken I ordered without any spice, it was the chicken that was most flavorful, and for the price, much more filling. One Hot Cheetos dog does not make a meal. A handful of people came in to pick up DoorDash/UberEats/phoned ahead orders. If I return, I'll probably go that route, unless I'm only looking for dessert. read more

Cloud Tea is a solid choice for boba. Their milk tea is my favorite--smooth, creamy, and not overly sweet, with a nice balance of tea flavor. The shop itself is clean and inviting, and the staff are friendly and efficient, which makes the visit enjoyable. To start off I would of had no idea there was a new bubble tea place opening up in Algonquin that does fruit teas. There really was no advertisements anywhere, I just drive around that area often and noticed that a new bubble tea place was on the way in the area. Had no idea they opened up either until I dropped something off at the UPS nearby one day and noticed they were finally open. Didn't see anything related to a website or yelp page for the Algonquin location either. I finally don't have to go to Schaumburg or Crystal Lake. I think there's a Cloud Tea in Crystal Lake as well that's been there for a little bit now. Definitely you guys advertise more so people know you guys are open!!!! Anyways now to the actual store and Bubble Tea. I got a Passion Grapefruit-Green Tea with Strawberry Popping Boba and Lychee Jelly. Wasn't a huge fan of the Lychee Jelly and also thought the drink was sweeter than most other places I usually get Bubble Tea. I'm one of those people that love sweets but this was a little to sweet for me. Overall though other than it being super sweet, great flavors! They don't have rainbow jelly and that's usually my go to for Bubble Tea, hopefully it's something they can add it later! Now when it comes to the inside, the ordering system is similar to some other Bubble Tea places. You can go to the register and order or they have a touch screen kiosk people can use on their own. On top of bubble tea they have a variety of many other things as well. They have lattes, cheese smoothies, egg waffles, fried chicken, jian bing and korean hotdogs. There are many food and drink options here. It is a bit pricey, but I have trouble finding anything that isn't these days. We had an original Korean dog, a half-and-half Korean dog, milkshakes, and a milk tea. Everything was delicious. There were places to sit inside, though the chairs and tables were short, but cute. We've gone to Cloud Tea a lot since it opened. The drinks are delicious! There's a good variety of milk tea, fruit tea and toppings. They even sell food! I can't say I've tried the food, but I gotta say, the drinks are fantastic. I highly recommend stopping in. The only downside is that as of this review, they don't have any indoor seating and there's no convenient place to sit outside of the cafe. Otherwise, this is a great bubble tea shop! read more

I stumbled upon this when I was next door at UPS and thank god I did! I love a good milk tea bubble tea (one that's not just full of sugar) but I got the brown sugar bubble milk tea and that was the perfect amount of sweetness for me. If you like sweet then I'd suggest you go for taro or some fruit. I also got the Cheeto hotdog which was good. I wish they did put more hot Cheetos on it for the crunch but the spicy mayo inside of the hot dog gave me enough spice. Love a good Korean dog. I want to try the fried chicken next. I have never once in my life had this bad of service. I ordered a potato Korean corn dog on the kiosk and it did not specify that it had ketchup of any sort, and there was no option to remove any ketchup that might've came with it. i'm allergic to ketchup and when i received the corn dog, i saw there was pounds of ketchup on it you couldn't even see the corn dog, i nearly had a heart attack. i was fighting back tears because i was so excited for the corn dog but i gained the courage to up to the counter. The girl told me she couldn't remake it for me and said it comes with ketchup when it so clearly didn't say that anywhere, she was rude and laughed at me when i asked her to remake it. Since she was no help, i asked the other worker if he could remake it for me and he was shaking when he told me no, and he said like 2 words to me. They refused to remake my corn dog after i had paid for it and i explained to them that it didn't say anything about ketchup when i ordered it. I had to end up throwing it away, and i hate to waste food. I was appalled by this service and wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy. Safe to say i will never be coming back. read more

Been here twice now. It's great having a bubble tea place closer than their sister store in Crystal Lake. The brown sugar matcha bubble tea, strawberry-banana smoothie, and mango-pineapple smoothie were all very good. The taro smoothie wasn't as sweet as I was hoping it would be, but maybe I didn't specify the sweetness level. Lychee jelly and tapioca boba were great. I've had to ask for my corn dog to be recooked on 3 different occasions because it wasn't cooked all the way. One time, the dough was still soft on the inside, and another the cheese wasn't even melted People can get sick from this, and the same guy doesn't even apologize he just takes it and throws you a new one without saying anything. Excited to learn a bubble tea shop opened in Algonquin. Ordered via kiosk as the workers were busy with preparing orders. Waited for 20 minutes to receive order. Brown sugar milk tea was very good and first time I had one without ice. The original hotdog came to me no longer hot as it was probably sitting for awhile. I was excited about Korean fried chicken wings but was disappointed with them. Had Bbq chicken and Bonchon before and they were excellent so cloud tea chicken wings were not good. I think this is another location of CoCo Rolls in Crystal Lake. The difference is that this location offers hot food in addition to drinks and desserts. We tried the Cheese Taro Smoothie and Brown Sugar Bubble Milk Tea with tapioca, both were very good. We also had the Potato Korean style hot dog and the Cheeto Korean style hot dog. Both were flavorful, but I was surprised to see they only used half of a regular size hot dog for each. We also had the cheese jian bing, which was underwhelming. It had good flavor, but I didn't like the soft consistency. I'm sure it's just not my thing, but might be someone's else's. Portion size was generous, though. The staff is friendly. It is on the pricey side, but I would say in line with the other location and similar stores. I would like to come back and try the fried chicken next time. There is not much seating offered inside, even though the location is spacious. That might change because they just opened. I'm giving them five stars because this area needs more diverse cuisine, and they are a breath of fresh air among all the fast food chains here. read more
