We are traveling in an RV and are stopping in York County for a few days. We were so hungry so I looked up local gluten free restaurants in the area. I have Celiac Disease so I have to be very careful where I eat. I found Clover Harvest, read several reviews and called to talk to them to be sure I could eat there. I am so glad we decided to have dinner there! The inside is very cozy with music playing and friendly staff. They were very knowledgeable about gluten free and I felt confident in them. While we waited on our food my husband ordered a Smoky old fashioned and I had a Chardonnay. When our food arrived we were so impressed! I ordered a bone in pork chop with roasted Brussel sprouts and mashed sweet potatoes. The pork chops were topped with mustard onions. It was the best pork chop I have ever eaten! My husband ordered a burger with fingerling potatoes. Everything was cooked perfectly. For desert my husband had banana pudding and I had a gluten free fudge truffle pie. AMAZING!!! We are here for a few more days and plan to have another meal there before we leave. The prices were good for the amount of food served. The restaurant is very clean and is a lot larger than it appears from the outside. They also have outdoor seating and if you're in the mood for Corn hole they have a game set up for you. Updating to identify a few flaws on Mother's Day 2026. The calm ambiance that we are accustomed to at CH was replaced today by a disgruntled manager who was so disconnected with his staff, kitchen and customers, you could cut the tension with a knife. Whereas the food is fresh and very tasty (kudos to the kitchen), several things are lacking when they are put under a little pressure. read more

This place is a true gem! From the adorable building and interior, to the friendly staff, to the incredible food - it is all absolutely perfect and I cannot wait to visit again! It's out to itself, away from the traffic and insanity of Charlotte. I was afraid it would be packed on a Friday evening when I first looked it up online, but I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived and it was fairly empty. The bingo hall across the street was jumping though, so maybe we just missed the dinner rush before everyone made their way to play bingo. It seemed like a lot of people chose to sit out on the patio as well, since it was a nice night. Selfishly, I hope they continue to be a hidden gem to be our go-to for a quiet meal, but this place deserves tons of business. They are putting out some amazing food and have the cutest little spot for an evening out. Well worth the drive for anyone interested in getting away from the city for a meal. Anyway, enough about my introverted preferences... the food is the true star here! We had the pork belly appetizer, chicken and waffle, and NC trout. All of which were fantastic and I would order again in a heartbeat. I would say the pork belly may have been a touch overcooked, but the flavors were still on point. I truly mean just a touch. No bite was left behind. The entrees were tied neck and neck for being our favorites. My husband had the chicken and waffle and was nice enough to share a few bites. The chicken was delicious, but the waffle was next level! I would go back tomorrow just for a waffle. Especially with that compound butter and syrup. I don't know what they did to make it so good, but they've really got this recipe nailed down. If chicken and waffles are your thing, definitely order it! However, the trout was truly incredible. It was cooked perfectly, and the chimichurri on top offered amazing flavor throughout. I don't even know how to describe this dish other than to say it was absolutely delicious. The fish was not fishy tasting at all and it was crispy yet moist and flaky. Everything fish should be. The sides that were included were great as well. The fingerling potatoes were crispy on the outside and seasoned well, and the asparagus was fresh and cooked just right. I cannot recommend this dish enough! All in all, this may be the best place we've found since moving to this area two years ago, and I can't wait to return and take our family and friends. The restaurant itself is cute as can be, and they have really paid attention to all of the details both inside and outside. I really just can't think of anything I would change. I found this place on Yelp after searching for a place to eat in Clover, SC. It had many good ratings and comments, so a friend and I went for lunch. We were impressed with the chill atmosphere and never felt rushed. The Brunch menu had good choices and I went with the chicken and waffles and my friend went with a trusty cheeseburger. Both were delicious, as was the coffee with "a pinch of salt and some cinnamon ". Our server was friendly and took care of us wonderfully. A surprisingly fabulous dining experience in little ol' Clover SC! Hubby and I decided to give this little place a try one night and we had a great meal. It was a spur-of-the-moment decision and we were the last people they sat that night, but they never showed any irritation toward us last-minute stragglers. First off, this is a very cute little place, set up in what you can tell was an old-timey storefront. It's very small and intimate, which I love. The menu is not extensive, which is refreshing because it usually means the chef is focused on perfecting meals with fresh ingredients--and that was definitely the case for us. I chose a tasty cocktail and we shared a pork belly and jalapeno appetizer with a little Asian and a little southern flair--absolutely delicious! I forget what hubby ordered--I want to say it was a pork chop maybe--regardless, he loved it. I had a pan-seared trout that was so tender, sweet and tasty. I wish I could remember what desserts we had but they were delicious. They graciously packed them up to go. Hubby is VERY hard to impress but on the way home he said, "can we eat there again?" This is the old Patti O Grill. Very popular in its new format. "Farm to Table" time arrangement. The menu is fresh and changes frequently. We got the charcuterie board - meats, cheese and breads. So good! We also got the Pork Belly. That stuff was amazing. So flavorful. For my entrée, I got the Korean Chicken sandwich. A little kick to it but not bad. For a side, we shared the candied jalapeno bacon. That was also excellent. You gotta try this place out. Highly recommend. read more

This location has changed hands several times until becoming Clover Harvest and I'm so happy with the new ownership, staff and kitchen. This used to be a bar, then it was Patti O's Grill. It was okay as Patti O's. The bar was a divey blast. But Clover Harvest is a farm to table JOY. We came here for Mother's Day and it didn't disappoint. Location: has been freshened up, and is bright, southern-ee and clean! Bathroom has been updated, and the eating area comfy with the original hardwood floors, patio, dining etc. Food: SHRIMP AND GRITS FOR THE WIN! Every time! Why? Because the shrimp is FRESH, supplied by Saltwater Markets and it shows up in the taste. While my mom is a huge Shrimp & Grits fan and will order it wherever she goes, I do not, because I'm so picky. But mom and & I got the Shrimp & Grits and my Step-dad got the special, which I think was Chicken Fried Steak with sweet potato mash. He loved it, that's what matters. Shrimp & Grits did not disappoint, the shrimp is already so fresh, then the spices are perfect! Service: the new owners are very hands on! I ordered a mojito, it wasn't a mojito but it looked like one - when the owner stopped by to see how my drink was, I let him know, and he was so sweet, admitting he had helped the bartender and he also didn't know what he had made haha, so I got a paloma after and a spicy marg, both were excellent by the bartender! I would love to stop in and get cocktails sometimes with snacks, because the bartenders were great, friendly and knowledgable, and I love sitting at a bar because I eat out solo so often, and a bartender can really make or break that encounter - making it a delight or completely awkward. The food,, the service, out of this world. Chef isn't just a great chef, but a kind, down to earth, really kind human....Which seems out of character per most chefs I have ever met. I have met many. It is safe to say; I have had almost everything off the menu that is not fish.. as I am not a fan of any fish....save shrimp! Her shrimp and grits are out of this world. The brunch is also fantastic. The pancakes are magical. Something to do with really old sourdough starter. Truly... magical. Also.... We took my autistic son once and the music was too loud for him..... with the slightest suggestion, the kind, kind waitress turned it down. Did not hesitate. I know that should be how it always is... but it is not. This place is a little pocket of farm to table heaven and the food isn't all that is great about this place. First time coming here. Ate on the patio and it was beautifully decorated. I got the shrimp and grits and oh my gosh. It was absolutely delicious! Perfect flavor all around. We enjoyed this place but we thought it was a tad pricey. I had the roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and it was very good but for $25 I thought it would be absolutely mouth watering. Again it was very good but just not sure it's $25 good. My husband had the trout and it was very good. Also we had kale hush puppies for appetizer. Very good. Dinner was excellent. We had the hummus appetizer to start. Served with crunchy toast and sautéed carrots. Crunchy chick peas were a nice accompaniment. There was a hint of cumin? Wife had the lobster roll. She said it was like taking a trip to New England. Her side was crunchy fried fingerling potatoes which was a great upscale version of FF. I had the Korean fried chicken sandwich. Was dipped in Korean gochujang hot sauce (think sriracha) and topped with jalapeño slaw on a potato roll. The crunch was exactly what you think with Korean fried chicken. For my side I chose jalapeño candied bacon. It was smoky and sweet with a hint of spice. I like this restaurant because rather than serving ok food in giant portions, you get incredibly tasting food in normal portions that are served on cool vintage looking china. We came here one night cause we heard they were doing a prime rib special. We started with the stuffed blossoms as an appetizer! Awesome! If you ever have a chance to try them, do! They were so good. We both got the prime rib special. Both were cooked perfectly and had great flavor. The sides, veggies and mashed potatoes, were also very good. Well worth the price. My husband and I stumbled upon Clover Harvest today for lunch (Sunday) and had a great meal on their porch - chicken and sourdough waffles for me, and Korean chicken sandwich with brussel sprouts for my husband. The chicken for each of us was delicious! The waffles were tasty and so were the brussel sprouts. Had a nice chat with the owner John, who has extensive restaurant management experience in Philly. Cute vintage/general store looking entrance, a former liquor store, and most recently some type of restaurant that was boarded up during pandemic. This is a fantastic addition the Clover area! We were so excited to try this farm to table spot, and it did not disappoint at all. We had a tough time deciding what we wanted, but I ended up getting the salmon (and I am SUPER picky with how my salmon is cooked - so many places tend to either over cook it or not get great quality of salmon). I was VERY happy with my salmon - it was cooked perfectly, the quality was very good, and it was seasoned perfectly). We look forward to coming back here in the near future. I visited this unexpectedly quaint restaurant for the second time last night. Again the food was delicious. I had the trout dish and my companion had the salmon. We ended the meal with a tasty cheesecake complimented with a shareable pot of French press coffee. The table service was welcoming without any overly anticipated wait time for our meals. Food is well prepared and nicely served. A lot of the vegetables and other foods are purchased locally. The outdoor seating area is heated and protected from the weather. They have done a great job of updating the old restaurant and making it inviting. Everything looked new and clean. We started with the Kale Hushpuppies. They are light and tasty. The sauce is lemony but went well. I got the Korean Style Chicken sandwich. It was amazing. The jalapeño Cole slaw was a perfect match and the buns are delicious. The girls got the BLT. It comes with peppered bacon and fresh tomato and lettuce out of the garden. They are also on the sweet buns and it all goes together to melt in your mouth. The bacon has a smoky, sweet pepper glaze with a bit of a kick. The Chicken and Waffles were also very tasty. I ended the meal with their oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. I shared one of the three. The food at Clover Harvest was excellent. We had the pretzel appetizer, then salmon and Thai chicken for an entree. We were really looking forward to ordering dessert, however..... the service was weird. I really want to stress the food is excellent before moving into the negative. This is why I'm not giving the restaurant 5 stars and I hope this comes across more like constructive feedback for improvement. Our server was really nice and helpful. He was serving the entire indoor area, plus bartending. While there were only a couple of tables to serve, the bar was busy. This meant he really didn't have much time to check on the tables he had. The other servers working the outdoor tables and hostess really need to work on their teamwork stills. While we watch our server make drinks, bring food to his tables, we watched 2 other servers and the hostess stand around by the kitchen. They really appeared to be doing the minimum. This is a small restaurant and those working really should pitch in and help each out. This brings me to my dessert comment. We wanted to order dessert, but our server wasn't coming over to our table to ask. We finished our meal and for a solid 20 minutes we were just sitting there. Meanwhile the outdoors server just stood at the kitchen. After waiting 30 minutes, I just went to be bar to check out and pay. The hostess walked by our tables a number of times and easily could have been asked how things were and if we wanted anything else. But there was a clear sign of a lack of teamwork among 3 employees.
