The owner was kind enough to make us a mixture of beer and wine, which was surprisingly very tasty. There was also a wide selection of foods (you have to try the wood fired pizza!). We sat outside to enjoy the music coming from the pavilion and were impressed not only with the buildings, but also with how nice the views were. For the reds, the Merlot and Cab Franc were noteworthy for their balance and nice finishes. The Merlot was silky, oaky and smooth approach. The Cab Franc is a bit spicier, bolder and robust - wine to pair with a nice, hearty meat dish. On the sweet side of things, the Diamond is a subtle, light choice for those who are prone to be turned-off by heavier, acidic reds. The Peach Splendor is a pleasant surprise with a fresh, light, fruit-forward feel. Pair this with some chocolate squares if you're enjoying it after a meal. The Olde Orchard has a great "fall season" feel, complete with elements of apple pie, a hint of tartness and a blend of sweet. Finally, the Underground is a rising star that everyone seems to be discovering lately. It's a Merlot family member that gains a unique, but delicious flavor thanks to be un-oaked. Elements of blackberry and rose petals, with a semi-sweet finish and a nice, fuller body. This one has a little bit of everything and is probably the most intriguing option on the menu. Very clean. One Hope Winery was there to do a tasting and the finger foods, pizza and milkshakes were delicious! Stayed the night in the Victorian Suite, and the bed was so comfy and the room cozy with a feel of the past! Breakfast was delicious with more historical information shared by one of the owners! But the best was the Mystery Dinner later that day! An event where everyone showed up in character and you played a part all the way to the end! So much laughter! So much fun! We were also told that if we bought a bottle after the $5 flight tasting would be waived! They had a selection of all types of wines and the 'menu' was extremely helpful at describing the flavors of the wine. All the wines were delicious and I tasted all the flavors as exactly described on the sheet, whether it was the smokiness or hints of blackberry - I've never been able to do that with other wines before, which shows me the winemakers here know exactly what they are doing! There was a bar area for tastings but there were also plenty of tables for sitting. The prices were unbeatable and we left with quite a few bottles in tow. I'm the first to admit that my exposure to, and my knowledge of mead is significantly more limited…read morethan other adult beverages. But I have really enjoyed what I've tried from Stonekeep. I've enjoyed visits to both their Fleetwood and Jim Thorpe tasting rooms. I really dig the medieval vibe. It makes both locations feel unique, and not quite like your typical tasting room experience. This is the type of place you would bring someone if they were visiting from out of town and we're looking for something off the beaten path. While Stonekeep produces both wine and mead, it is the latter which truly stands out. My favorite selections are the Red Raspberry Melomel and the Blue Muninn. Both offerings are absolutely delicious, and an excellent way to introduce someone to mead who may not be familiar with the drink. Both are excellent on their own, but really hit a whole new level when paired with chocolate. Consider busting out these meads for your after dinner course when entertaining at home. Or, if you're by yourself, feel free to pour yourself a glass and sit in front of the fireplace.

We tried the Vidal Blanc, Vignoles, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chambousin, Turtle Rock Red, Sangiovese and Pinot Noir. We bought a glass of the Ice Franc. My favorites were the Turtle Rock Red and Pinot Noir which we bought. The prices are fair. Definitely a fan of the wine; it's a great value. Outstanding customer service. The trip was poorly organized, lacked communication totally about activity accessibility or where we were even going, and several people in our group were unable to participate because they couldn't manage stairs or long walks. It was disappointing to see people spend nearly $2,000 only to sit and wait for everyone else to be done sightseeing. The "included meals" were literally just thrown together, no restaurants. We ate at 2 campsites both an hour away from the hotel where the 4H and then some lady who owned a campsite made 1 meal. No choice of anything. You either ate what they made or you didn't eat until the next day at the hotel continental breakfast. I brought my own granola bars and ate them for lunch and dinner. The bus restroom was not allowed to be used, and the charging outlets didn't work. The only positive part of the experience was our driver, who was friendly. We spent hourssss on the bus driving to places too in West Virginia that weren't even that great to see.

This is the worse tour I've ever been on. The bus was dirty, smelled, we were unable to use the bathroom because we were told both tanks were full (full on the first day), the stench was horrible, the charging ports were not working, the escape hatch on the roof was leaking when it rained, and the GPS took us through places a bus never should have been. The travel logistics were terrible: too much backtracking resulting in too much time on the bus, no built in time for driver breaks resulting in being late to our destinations and having less time there. The hotels were not the best. Though clean, 2 of the 3 hotels were very old and dated. The ride back home was a nightmare and could have resulted in a catastrophe. All week, the driver was checking the right rear passenger tire. Departing our last stop, he was overheard saying "well now I'm concerned" as he looked at the tire. Some time later, the tire blew while we were on the Mass Pike. While he did a great job pulling over safely, we certainly were not in a safe place. The State Police provided safety for some time, but they were told it would be 2 hrs before they could send some to fix it. WHY DIDN'T THEY SEND ANOTHER BUS? The trouper had to leave as he could not say with us for 2 hours, leaving us vulnerable of being hit by a vehicle. WE WERE ON THE SIDE OF THE MASS PIKE FOR 3 1/2 HOURS before someone came to replace the tire. SAFETY WAS OUR CONCERN. The spare tire should have been new. IT WAS WORN ON THE OUTSIDE AND SLITS THROUGH THE SURFACE. We limped home on a bad spare and a prayer. We were suppose to arrive home at 7:30 p.m.and arrived t 11:45 p.m. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE TRAVEL WITH THIS COMPANY. NEVER.
