The Southtown Bowling lanes had a great setup with plenty of lanes, balls and rental shoes. We were up and running in 5 minutes. Their convenient bar helped quench our thirst. After a great bowling experience we decided to stick around and eat dinner. The staff were super friendly and the restaurant had a variety of tasty selections. First, they have some virtual golf simulators in the back so you can work on your golf game and hang with friends year round. The other thing that's different in here is that they have 2 bars. One of the bartenders (the tall guy) was drinking and eating with his friends the entire time and didn't wait on any other customers which was just so strange and unprofessional. The other bartenders mostly stood around in a circle chit chatting with each other not paying attention to their customers whatsoever. Extremely disappointed as sandbaggers is my favorite drink and not very many places in Buffalo have them. Guess I'll just have to get them from Premier and drink at home. This place needs either new management or new staff, or both.

Bowling machines are often problematic and regularly need manual reset or fixing during play which is very annoying. It's great they invested in new floors last year, hope they will do the same with the machines too if that is possible. Often there's just the bartender so service can be slow if you are sitting at a table and not at the bar. You'll have to go ask for a refill of water when you need more water.

The bar was fairly crowded but we located two seats easily. The bar is outstanding to eat at. Literally perfect and beautiful! Two very attentive and friendly bartenders took care of us and did a wonderful job. We ordered two doz. oysters which were nice and flavorful and cold. They came w a very nice vinegar relish, horseradish, ketchup & lemons. Obviously a 1.00 each so not enormous but exactly what we needed and expected! Excellent! Now the menu, I don't say this lightly, and not trying to exaggerate. We dine everywhere in WNY. Pound for pound this might be the best menu I've seen in WNY! At a golf simulator/restaurant!!! The facility itself is very clean and has 4 bays for axe throwing. They do have a parking lot but it's on the smaller side so I would advise parking on the street as it's easier. I'm not a beer or ale drinker but they did have a few selections here that everyone seemed to enjoy. This would be a nice date night activity or even something different to do for your birthday. Highly recommend. Also, Becca and Hyde (or was his name Clyde. Sorry if I mixed up his name ) were also awesome. Very kind and personable.

The rink floor is all chipped up. The majority of the arcade games are routinely out of order. The rental skates are in rough shape. I would never order from the snack bar or eat anything from the dusty old gumball machines. This place is in desperate need of upgrading. I also do not like that they charge extra for the pvc pipe trainer/aids for beginner skaters (these are often free at other facilities). However, the staff is really nice and the owner is very friendly. I appreciate that they still play some music from the 90s and they still do the classic games (4 corners, chicken dance, hokey pokey). I would love to see this place brought back to its glory!
