I was diagnosed with strep throat here 1.5 weeks ago and prescribed antibiotics and steroids. After completing the full course of medication, my strep throat came back with visible white patches and severe pain when swallowing. When I called to request a refill on antibiotics, the front desk ladies Vivi & Siri refused to help unless I paid another $150 for an in-person appointment, $140 for another test, and $100+ for telehealth. They wouldn't even let me get a chance to speak to the doctor and pretty sure they didn't relay my message to him. Siri was a bit more sassy and unprofessional than Vivi. For a facility that prescribed medication that clearly didn't work, charging me $400+ to fix their failed treatment is predatory. Do not recommend if you're on a budget or expect any follow-up care. All I wanted was another prescription of antibiotics since the one they gave me didn't fully work on me. I don't see how that should be my fault & why I should pay another $240+ read more

Great experience. Brought my daughters here for a stye on eye and concerning newborn acne and both times the providers were amazing and nice! My daughter, 1.5 years old, split her forehead open this morning, and I quickly consulted the reviews for various urgent care places in Fresno and Clovis before taking her to Clovis Urgent Care (at least twenty minutes beyond the closer ones to our house). My main concern was friendliness of the staff because that usually associates to patience, and that's the name of the game with a hurt toddler. Walking in, it's not fancy or personal, and we waited a while both before getting a room and for treatment. But for a non-appointment and dealing with a very little child, we were in and out in about two hours. I'm very pleased with the care and treatment we received. Their office is horrible at getting back to you about billing. I paid $670 out of pocket for my first visit as it was an emergency. I was told at my follow up I could provide my insurance information and they would bill them for the 1st visit and would be refunded the overpayment (minus my deductible) I was told that visit was included in the $670. They ended up only billing the insurance for the second visit. One year later and they have given excuse after excuse. Now they are REFUSING to send the bill to the insurance. They tried to say that i said not to bill my insurance. In this economy? Yeah right. They basically got paid by me AND the insurance. So they committed insurance fraud. They also have the audacity to try to send me to collections for $34 for my co-pay. read more

The wait wasn't too bad however the receptionist wasn't in the greatest mood. The lady who checked us in (medical assistant?) She seemed very young and didn't know what she was doing. She said my son was 4 ft 5 inches tall which is totally inaccurate. Anyway, she wasn't very pleasant and i just felt off with her. The doctor came in and didn't introduce himself. All he said was "I'm Richard." It was weird, dont doctors normally say "Hello I'm Dr...." He was very quick to diagnose anything. He kept interrupting me when I was trying to explain what was going on. I would not go back there for care. read more

COVID-19 phase: This place is fantastic! Masks worn by workers and required. I came here last Sunday and a very nice PA Ochana helped me. I have a nasty and painful "boil" on my back. No idea how it showed up or if that is what it is, but my mother tried to pop it and the pain was too much! I had to go in to get it fixed righr. The PA looked at it, gave me 7 days of antibiotics and she told me to go back in after the antibiotics are done to get it removed. There I was 7 days later. The "boil" is still there. Sore and very red. It feels like a balloon that needs to be popped! Just want the darn thing off. I waited a little while after my 10 am appointment date. You just check in at the front desk and stay in the waiting room until they call you back. There is distancing practiced. I was called to the back and my blood pressure was taken and I was sent to a room. Then, Dr. D came in and looked at it. He was very nice. He said I would just have to fill out a consent form and he would remove it. He said it is an abscess or cyst that got infected. He wasn't for sure, but would let me know once he got to it. The doctor numbed the spot and removed the infection. He is a great doctor! It did hurt a little, but not much. It was an infected cyst. He said to keep it bandaged 24 hours and then just let it heal. That was all that needed to be done. The worker bandaged me up and I was free to go! Great urgent care! Very nice workers including the PA and Great doctor! Highly recommended! I'll add a picture later of the after. Right now it is bandaged. I can't remove the bandage until 24 hours. I just wanted everyone to know what a great place this is and less risk than a hospital. read more

It seems our hospital system is overwhelmed. I had a wound that I wanted a consultation. It wasn't an emergency, so I avoided going to a hospital. This is largely a walk-in clinic, but appointments are an option. When you come in, there's a couple of pages for health background and financial responsibility. I was called up before I finished filling out the paperwork. They had already gotten authorization from my insurance. So, they wanted my co-pay. I was called back to the patient room as I was walking back to get the aforementioned paperwork. A nurse took down my vitals and information about why I was there. After that was done, I had a few minutes, which allowed me to finish the questionnaire. The practitioner came in, asked a few questions, took a look at the wound, and was ready to send me on my way with a prescription sent to my pharmacy. It was fairly straightforward and a way better option than going to the hospital. read more

I have visited this urgent care twice in the last month. Ear infection then pink eye, what a month! For the ear infection, there was only one person in the waiting room. I was in and out in less than an hour. All staff was cordial and answered my questions. I came in with tremendous pressure in my right ear. Turns out it was impacted with ear wax. The girl doing the wash was a little heavy handed with the spray, but she saw I was uncomfortable and gave me a few breaks. For pink eye, it was a holiday so waiting room was full. All staff was still cordial and moved people along as fast as they could. Being that the waiting room was full. You could stay in your car and they would call you when they were ready. I chose to do that and they followed through. I've seen Dr. Richard Green for both visits. He was very nice, quick yet thorough and answered all my questions. If I needed to call the clinic. Crystal answered and was patient with my questions as well. Overall, no complaints. read more

They took good care of us but their billing department is uncooperative and borderline rude. I need a receipt of a payment I made by phone and never received. Now my insurance wants me to pay them back because I can't get a receipt from them. I wouldn't recommend them. Once they have your money you're are not a priority. read more

I was very pleased with the service I received. First time here so was a bit skeptical just because you never know with urgent cares. Waited about 35-40minutes but what do you expect it's a first come first serve basis for an urgent care. Could not get in to see my primary doctor until December, ridiculous. The doctor I saw here was Dr. Dhaliwal & honestly he gave me a sense of comfort for my treatment versus my own doctor. If he had his own primary practice I would definitely switch over to be a patient of his. read more

Cleanliness matters in a medical facility. Waited over 20 min and hadn't even been called to register. It was crowded and likely understaffed. The worst experience ever. I had a severe pain in my finger. I thought I had perhaps broken it. Well several hours later the doctor finally said I needed an X-ray. I was taken to the X-ray room and the technician started to perform the X-ray without using an apron. When I complained that I needed protection she gave me a thyroid apron to hold in front my throat. After leaving the doctor came immediately in the room and said I didn't have a fracture. He didn't even have time to see an x-ray. So I don't believe he even looked at it. No treatment and a wasted day! Is this what our medical system has come to. read more

I came in coughing and congested. I was given a covid test . I was very happy with the service. I would come back again. I was surprised by the professional staff . It seems like they are well prepared to handle most kinds of cases. It was larger that it looked from the outside. I waited for about a half hour. I was impressed by the care I got. You don't know how your good your health insurance is until you need it. On my birthday I was in agonizing pain and I called all the Urgent Cares on my insurance list including Clovis Medical Urgent Care. I was turned away via phone due to them not accepting my insurance. On 11/25/17 still in agonizing pain my mother and I go to Every Day Health Urgent care less a mile away from my house but they were closed so I looked at my list again and called Clovis Urgent Care again they accept my insurance so we head down there. My mom and I arrived at around 9:30am. The Clovis Urgent Care is in a beautiful location still going under construction. The location was easy to find and was near Sierra Vista Mall. When my mom and I entered we were greeted by staff. A woman was in front of me with about 8 people sitting in the lobby. The receptionist gave me new patient paperwork to fill out. I was over hearing the doctor say to the receptionists to let new walk ins know that there is a bit of a wait due to one doctor being on site. I sat down under the tv to fill out my forms. My mom and I did not intially sit with me until a man moved and I went over to sit with her. The wait was 3 hours due to there being only one doctor and I went through several emotions from relief, happy, tired, and angry. I was so happy my mom came with me because I was in so much pain she kept me occupied and made me laugh throughout the office visit. A lot of people left due to the wait. Which I was happy about. Finally around 12:30pm they call me up to pay my copay. I informed the helper that I called yesterday and they said that Clovis Urgent Care did not accept my insurance. The woman's eyes got big and she apologized for the mistake. The nurse Angie called me back at the same time. I painfully walked back and the doctor greeted my mom and I while we walked to the room. They took my weight, ask my height, and went through the whole procedures of gathering the background information. The nurse Angie was a spunky nurse. Angie was older but was really cool. She made my mom and I feel very comfortable. About 10 minuets later the Doctor came in gave me a handshake, his name is Dr. Sidhu. I honestly have to say he was young but the most caring, funny, sweet, honest doctor I have met ever. He took his time answering questions my mom and I had. He was very informative and diagnosed my condition. He took my needs into consideration and due to the severity of it he wrote me a doctors note for work and told me to come back on Tuesday if the condition does not get better. He wished me a happy birthday and genuinely meant it. Dr. Sidhu takes pride in his work and his patients. I am currently on the look out for a new Primary Care doctor and I want Dr. Sidhu to be mine. If I need Urgent Care and again I will be back requesting the same doctor. We were out by 1:24pm. The only negative was the wait time but the service was phenomenal. I highly recommend to come here but be prepared to wait. Come early. read more

The medical staff is good; they listen and treat you nicely. It's what you'd expect from urgent care. And then... you get the bill. I don't mind paying for what's due, and in my case there was an insurance snafu when they didn't bother to mention that they were under new ownership and weren't yet contracted with my insurance. (There was no visible notice of this...even the signs on the building stayed the same. Kinda shady IMO.) So, I worked with my insurance... got it paid as an exception, but the checks came to me. So, I get the invoice from Clovis Urgent Care, and mail in a check. A couple months go by and I get a new invoice for another visit...minus the prior payment. I send the new payment and a copy of my prior cancelled check for them to research and correct. The next bill comes, and ... yet another missing payment. So I get a copy of that check. They tell me they applied the payment to another family member account, but I won't be able to see that because it doesn't show on a statement. SO SHADY! Based on the records I have, Ive mailed in payment for another family member, and if they send me another **** bill, they're gonna have to take me in front of Judge Judy. I'm done. Summary... Mended the tip of my finger ( I cut it off :( ). They saw me right away. Cauterized it and sent me on my way. The whole experience took maybe 30 minutes. I wanted to wait for it to completely heal before I posted a reviewed to make sure my finger didn't fall off or anything. Waking up on a Friday morning in pain I knew that if I waited until after the weekend to be seen by my doctor things could get worse. For years I have been going to Peachwood urgent care when needed. While I was being check in, I was told they no longer take my insurance. But they did provide me with a list of alternative urgent care centers that I could call and/or go to. Clovis Urgent Care actually picked up my phone call and provided me with quick answers to my questions. There was a bit of a wait after being check in but much less than going into a hospital Emergency Room. This was my first time to visit this place thus, I was nervous. DR. Daliwa [sic] was so impressive. He was everything you would hope for in a physician. I would recommend him to any of my most precious family and friends. This was my second trip to this urgent care and both times I was out in less than an hour. I've seen both the doctor and the physician assistant both are extremely friendly and knowledgeable and listen to me when I explained my symptoms. They were very accommodating in that they let me pay cash because I do not have insurance. They also sent my prescriptions to the pharmacy right after speaking with me and when I got to the pharmacy not only did they have my prescription but they were already filled. I highly recommend this urgent care if you are pressed for time or if you want to be treated quickly and efficiently and respectfully. read more

I get decent care here. Aside from the fact my 3 yo child tested positive for RSV and no body called me. I stressed how important it was to be notified when I had a 7 week infant t at home. And when I called and asked the results since my baby was sick I asked them if I should bring my boys back In for anything and they just said "we can't give medical advice over the phone". Billing is absolutely trash. Over charge me $20 every single time, they can't seam to bill correctly, always blames the insurance. Tell me "call your insurance it's their fault" I call insurance they tell me they billed it incorrectly. I tell them what insurance says and the only thing they say is "you have to 3 way call the insurance with us" when I do that they argue with the insurance just to submit the bill the way Insurance told me to tell them to do it. Absolutely ridiculous. Waste of time. OH and I woke up this morning to a surprise charge from them, while we're in the middle of our little billing debate we have every damn time. This place is billed as an urgent care but they actually accept appointments-just not same day appointments. I am not really sure if the Dr sees some of his regular patients from past or current practices he has worked at. I know they do offer some physicals for employment/work/school & vaccinations as well as basic health screenings but I just think it's a bit odd to see a stream of older ladies with appointments coming in to an urgent care on a Sunday. So Sunday...Yes they are open Sunday & have excellent open hours 7 days a week. We had to go on a Sunday-who pre-plans an urgent care visit except for the stream of older ladies we saw who had appointments? Anyways we ended up there from 10am-3pm. The waiting room is small, the chairs are uncomfortable, & they do not enforce the "mask if displaying signs of a cold/flu" rule. So picture being seated for almost 3 hours squished in like a sardine next to a gentleman or woman who is hacking their lungs up but can't politely put a mask over their germs. Yuck. At few times people went into their waiting room restroom to cough/vomit & it being a small place, we heard everything. Nobody came to clean the restroom. One time an employee did bring a vomit bag out for a patient who sounded as if they were vomiting in the restroom but the person said they were just coughing so they just left her and the restroom bathed in this person's germs. Gross. I've never resisted my desire to use a restroom longer than Sunday at urgent care except when I am in the middle of teaching a class, lol. However, once we were finally called back, all the medical staff was extremely attentive & cheerful. I find that a lot of Dr's don't take the time to listen to their patients before they rush to diagnosis. This Dr did. In fact, he had made a diagnosis & prescribed treatment when we repeated that my family member had had a high fever before coming to urgent care & he switched his plan of action. Sometimes Dr's sadly don't believe patients when they say they've had a fever that only comes down with OTC medicine. This Dr did & because of the excellent listening skills, we were able to get an accurate diagnosis. In addition, when we called about continued symptoms 2 days later, they told us to come right back in & there was no wait on a Tuesday when the PA, not Dr, is there. Again, really good listening skills-really listen to your concerns & respond to them. So my main critique is not quality of care, it's quality of cleanliness: when it's a very busy Sunday, please politely make sure people who should probably wear masks are, especially because the waiting area is very small & do clean the bathroom at regular intervals, especially after somebody goes in their to cough or vomit or vomit/cough. read more

I'm not the type to leave bad reviews but this is a MUST. This wasn't my first option urgent care but the one I wanted to go to closed already. I was having yeast infection symptoms and wanted to get treatment started right away as I am close to my due date so I decided to go here since they were still open. Check in was fine, when questioned the reason why I'm here, told the staff I think I have a yeast infection. Wait wasn't too long. I just feel like this clinic was not knowledgeable in what they do at all. The staff that took my BP didn't even know if my BP was good. She even asked me if this is my usual BP reading and I said yes so she took me to a room. She did not know what prenatal was when I told her that's all I'm taking atm too. I was expecting a swab or something for yeast testing but they had me did a urine dip test (which they also send to lab for a culture test and thank god they did or else we would never know it was a YI). The dip stick results was immediately and my LEU # was abnormal so the doc concluded it was UTI. I even questioned it as I was not having uti symptoms. But hey a physician must know more than me right? So she prescribed me an antibiotic for UTI. Been a few days and my symptoms were not getting better so I knew it couldn't be UTI. Called them back for a couple days to get my urine culture result from the lab and finally hear back today. I was right all along, it was a yeast infection. So they basically misdiagnosed me. The whole time, I could had almost been done with treatment already if they diagnosed me correctly in the first place. Not to mention, had me take an antibiotic that I didn't even need that made my yeast infection worse. I would not go back here and would not recommend them to anyone unless you want to experienced what I did. read more

First time here as a patient. I've been having symptoms for the past week or so, not sure if it was side effects from the vaccine or mot but I was in pain and I needed help. I filled out the online form, they called me in within 30 mins or so. Went back had my vitals taken, they saw me quick and ran a few tests. Nice nurses, and the dr was very friendly. He said I was okay, I had an infection and needed antibiotics. It was super easy and they were especially nice to my son, who was very intrigued by the drs. If I could give this disgusting place a zero (0) I would but A review would do with the hope that people read this and think twice before coming to this place and endangering yourself from actually getting exposed if you go get tested... So I went today (12/16/2020) to obviously get tested to a possible exposure, as I waited in my car and I seen the Dr. walk up to about 4-5 different vehicles swab each one and not once change his gloves! He had all swabs in one had which to me means if someone was negative and another person was positive the fact that the other persons test results got contaminated now all of those test are invalid! My review is not for the facility or even the level of service provided as I was only in the office for all of 10 minutes. My review is directly for the Medical Director Dr. Dhaliwal. I have never been so disregarded in my life, let alone at a job interview requested by the Medical Director himself. Dr. Dhaliwal called me regarding my resume which I posted for the Xray Tech position opening at Clovis Urgent Care. Mind you, I submitted the resume early morning and received a call a few hours later. Dr. Dhaliwal expressed he was thoroughly impressed with my resume, so impressed he asked for an interview right away. It was obvious Dr. Dhaliwal had read through my resume because he asked specific questions regarding my location and my school (I graduated May 2020 in Atlanta, GA & relocated shortly after as my husband is a service member for the United States Navy ) Albeit my excitement I declined the on the spot interview and opted for the following day. Today I arrived for the interview if we could even call it that. I'm not sure if it was my melanin rich skin or ethnic braids (my last name is of Indian descent) but suddenly nothing on my resume worked for his facility. He asked several times offensively If I was SURE I graduated from a school for Radiologic Technology rather than a Limited Rad Tech program. He expressed he could not use a part time employee. Now the post on indeed stated & still states: Clovis Urgent Care is interested in hiring both part-time and full time. Okay? My resume specified being a new graduate with "registry eligible" being in the first line of my objective. I even went the extra mile to name each license for which I had applied but not obtained to date. He expressed he would not feel comfortable hiring without a license. Despite the crappy flow of the "interview" I cheerfully responded with "all the paperwork is submitted, I should have the licenses any day now." He went on to say the licenses must be obtained within a month. As if it was up to me. Okay? Still discouraged I remembered I brought a folder showing evidence of my degree, my national honor awards, letters of recommendation from radiology managers and professional references. I handed Dr. Dhaliwal the folder. He opened to the first page and stood up to shake my hand for dismissal. My question for Dr. Dhaliwal is what changed from yesterday's phone call? You liked me on paper and over the phone. He made it painfully obvious he was not interested in learning who I was professionally or otherwise. I would not be surprised if my resume and folder of accomplishments were in the trash faster than I made it back to my car. Extremely disappointed. read more

I wish this website had the ability to give negative stars. Came in on a Sunday for an appointment and had to have labs sent out. Dr said they would call when labs came in. I ended up having to call several times during the week to try to get my results. When results finally came in, the Dr wouldn't give them to me over the phone or call in a prescription. They made me come back in and pay another $100 in order to get treatment for something I had originally come in for a week ago. Almost $500 by the time they were done with me. I walked in and they asked me my why I was there. I told them I had cut my fingers and the bleeding wouldn't stop. They took me back and the doctor saw me and started treatment on my bloody fingers. He asked when the accident happened and I told him on Sunday and that I had gone to an urgent care open on Sunday. The doctor said what did the first urgent care say? I said they didn't even look at my hand. They said we can't help you. They went back and asked the doctor and he told his staff to tell me to go to the ER. And I was the only person there. And I did go to ER and after waiting to long, and that was for a triage nurse, then I left. I went home and started wrapping my fingers my self. So since i was still bleeding I came to you. You had better reviews. They looked at my fingers and assessed what needed to be done. The whole entire staff was nice and polite. They said that the dressings need to be changed in a couple days and you can come in if you'd like, your not obligated to come back there.
