First they "forgot" to add the cabinet handles, so they were not added. The installers showed up sometime around 3 to install, so that took extra days to install. Still waiting on the handles to be delivered and added to the cabinets. Now the counter people keep asking me via email about measurements and if I want to add backsplash? Umm.....this is not my job sir, it's yours to measure and yes I wanted a back splash. Apparently Cabinets to go "forgot" to add that also! It's been a month now and still this job is not done. We ordered cabinets from our local kitchen dealer (whom we love). They arrived yesterday with 9/19…read morecabinets damaged. The damage ranges from multiple manufacturing defects to obvious shipping damage. Our kitchen rep and GC came right out and we went through each cabinet with a fine tooth comb. The number of damaged cabinets was outrageous and definitely pointed toward a quality control issue as well as a packaging issue ( thin cardboard which was ripped open on every cabinet.) I decided to take the issues to the folks who could make a difference and called the CEO's office. A poor customer service rep isn't going to be able to fix it and surely should not have to deal with issues he/she did not create. My dealings with the Exec Office, were, "interesting". The conversation started with "YOU are not our client, the kitchen dealer is. WE do not deal with homeowners." It went downhill from there. I REALLY think it's interesting when an Executive Team feels that the folks who purchase the product THEY manufacture have no right to call out shoddy construction. My kitchen dealer sure as hell didn't make this CRAP product! They did not care one iota that they are selling very expensive crap. I mean if you can't make 19 painted empty wooden boxes for over $30k and get them safely from one part of the US to another, what the actual........????? Literally, cabinets are empty wooden boxes with simple hinge doors... Just like the other folks here, my kitchen dealer is offering to send out a "refinisher" from their company to fix the cabinets that DON'T need to be replaced. I am looking at ANOTHER 4+ weeks without a kitchen. I then dug deep into online reviews and the only positive ones are from kitchen designers. These are also the only reviews that KITH bothers to reply to. I would say that you should believe the negative reviews and that corporate's response to me just solidifies their abject indifference to their actual clients - the homeowners. Stay away. They don't deserve your business.
