Dr Roberta Lee is always such a thorough and careful doctor who would look after my daughter's every growth period and shoot records. We grew up with her and so did the two boys from my sister's family... now she is heading off to college from when we first went to see her as a second grader. While the doctors are great the office staff is the absolute worst. They are soooooooooo rude .... we were patients of Dr. Shuman for over 10 years and could not take the rude office staff anymore. For an office that deals with kids you would think they would be at least nice but they are NOT. It is terrible. They do not even smile at kids. We asked for my children's shot records for school and they LOST them or gave them to someone else per the front office staff... what medical office does that. I do not know who runs that office but whoever does should not manage people... it is obvious it is upper management because there is no way someone hired that many angry unhappy people in one location. Also to add... they were lazy and when they went to computer files vs paper they didn't pay to have everything converted over so if you need anything from past years GOOD LUCK because it is "in storage". My kids cannot even get shot records. What medical office does this. Then told me the ONLY person with a key was on vacation for a MONTH. Great planning with school starting back. My daughter has been going here since she was born (she's almost 2). I've had issues with them 3 different times and today I called to tell the front desk she had a fever. She gave me an attitude and after she hung up on me. Didn't understand why, but my daughter will not be going back. read more

This clinic is run so poorly. We have scheduled several appointments where we are waiting 1 hour + past our appointment time. The last time, I noticed a child who had been waiting at least 1.5 hours get up and vomit. No staff got up to assist the parent or try and clean the mess for several minutes; I was appalled as I watched other patients and parents almost slip on the sick. The rooms always seem dirty and poorly maintained. Getting any type of records, vaccination or otherwise, takes days, if not weeks. We are in the process of switching to a new Dr.'s office and they are making the process so difficult. read more

The administration at this clinic is terrible. They have no idea how to process Insurance payments. No one understands how coding works, no one answers the phones or returns messages. Their billing department is a mess. Everyone is rude. Glad we don't go there anymore because they just sent us a bill 2 years after our visit.... because I left messages for 10 straight days to get it mailed to me. read more

I've been coming to clear lake pediatric since last year when my son was born. The waiting room is a cutesy hand painted ocean theme, there are always some parents and their kids out waiting in the split waiting roos separated by those coming for sick visits and those coming for checkups. The reception staff are always friendly but can be a bit more terse when the area is crowded during the busier hours. We've seen a couple docs, all have been good but our main doctor which we've loved is Dr. Pocsik. She's been extremely helpful, gentle with our prematurely born baby, compassionate and direct. She's flexible enough to listen to how we want to parent but does not hesitate to share her opinion on what we should do and how she's recommend we handle feedings, ratios, etc. To set our kid up for success. While the patient rooms are a bit cramped, and decorations are a bit dated, I really come here for the staff and medical equipment which rank a resounding 5 stars as far as I'm concerned. read more

I love the doctors here. Especially dr pocsik. But a scheduling mistake was made in which they scheduled my daughter for her one year old check up. I had to go out of state with my daughter unexpectedly for a funeral. We arrived back at 1 am and I got her to the appointment at 10 am and was told they cannot see her because she turns 1 yr in 5 days so we will have to reschedule this appointment for her birthday or later. It's very frustrating because the person who was scheduling this check up should not have suggested "we have this day and time open" I just went along with it not knowing that they would not even be able to see us. read more

I write this as I still sit in the lobby waiting for my son's appointment that was scheduled for an hour ago. This has been the case the last 3 times I have been here. I do not have a problem with Dr Palmer, I like her but this clinic is poorly run. I understand that it is a doctors office and some appointments run longer than others but I feel this is a case of over booking all the time for the $$$. As I said the last 3 times have been this way and I have about had it. I think it is time to change my 3 kids to somewhere else. My time is valuable and if I made an appointment with a client and didn't see them till after an hour that they scheduled they wouldn't be my client much longer.. My daughter was a patient of doctor Pocsik and I absolutely loved her! I never once felt rushed and she took the time to ask how I was doing. Any time I took my daughter in I felt comfortable with the recommendations she would make to help her feel better. Recently, our family moved to West Houston but for a few months made the drive all the way to Clear Lake to see Dr. Pocsik. The front desk is helpful. I like that there is a sick child and well child area. The patient rooms are small but I suppose there isn't a need for huge rooms anyway. My experience at Clear Lake Pediatric was great. I had the pleasure of meeting a few of the doctors and had a good experience with all three. Just make sure you have a meeting with the one you'd like to choose as I did with Dr. Pocsik. Again, she is truly a gift sent from Up above! read more

If it were possible to give this office no stars I would. I visited the office twice, the first time I waited an hour and a half for my appointment. I arrived at the time they recommended with all the paper work filled out- I still waited that long. The doctor (Dr Schuman) was extremely rude and condescending, the office staff acts like being there is a huge inconvenience for them. I went back a second time because I thought maybe they had an off day. NOPE still an hour and half wait- the staff was even worse than the first time and the doctor was also just as rude. I have four children and over the years with moving have been through 4 pediatricians, this is the worst office I have ever seen. read more

Front desk staff are extremely rude, both in person and on the phone...and then to add, that I have never waited less then an HOUR after a set appointment time to be seen by the doctors here..:it's very frustrating. Both my kids go here and we've been patients for over a year now because my insurnace recommended them. The doctors here are kind of rude to the kids and seem to be annoyed by them, I have been to place who engaged and like the kids. we've had over 5 visits the last year if not more, and I wouldn't mind one bit having a different doctor because the one(s) I've been put with show no interest in my kids or making the experience a little more pleasant for them. The facility itself is nice, which is the only reason it's getting the three stars, but if it were based off staff only, it'd be a 1 star. read more

I agree with the other review that it depends on the doctor you see... We have gone to maybe 5 of the docs but Pocsic is my boys' primary care. I don't think any of the docs are bad, just might gel better with some personalities than others. To me, I couldn't ask for a better doc than Stephanie Pocsic. When my firstborn lost too much weight his first week and I was freaking out, she not only took care of him but also calmed me down when I was at my most hormonal, frantic, and upset. She cares about the whole family, not just the patient/child... Always checks in on me that I am getting enough rest with a new baby, etc. she puts me at ease right away the way she comes in and hops up on the exam table and just starts chatting. Always addresses my questions and concerns no matter how small. The office staff is friendly and competent... No complaints in that area. Wait times can be long but honestly that is just how things are going with medicine and I don't hold it against the doc/practice unless it is over an hour wait. That's just reality wherever I have gone. Also the waiting rooms (one side for sick kids, one for well kids... And a separate area for newborns) ... The rooms are clean, bright, modern, and fun. Anyhow, bottom line: I would absolutely recommend Dr Pocsic to anyone, anytime. And if I wasn't 34 I would make her MY primary care doc! read more

Dr. Pocsik is amazing! We are new to the League City area and were in search of a pediatrician. She took the time to meet with us for a new mommy visit and spent over a half hour with us and answered all of our questions. After the birth of our son and a short stay in the NICU Dr. Pocsik has been amazing with his care and working with the NICU and the hospital after his birth. We also take our 17 month old to see her. Only down side is it can be a bit of a wait for the appointment, but she is very upfront about that. And to be honest I would rather have to wait for my appointment to know that I won't be rushed in the appointment and she will answer any questions that I might have. Our older son (15) also sees Dr. Shuman at the office and was very happy with him. I highly recommend this office for anyone with children! read more

This was my first choice in pediatricians, we picked Dr.P. For the first year and a half of my daughters life this is where we went til all of sudden Dr.P had to many patients and couldn't see us so we got pushed on to every other doctor in this office. My daughter got sick really sick I brought her in on a Monday they were supposed to send out labs and we would know on Wednesday, I called them and waited for a call back I got nothing. I finally broke down because my daughter was so miserable and went to the hospital on Thursday I told them everything and they called the doctors office only to find out they never sent out my daughter's labs. It turned out she had salmonella. After I found out the lack of concern from this doctors office we made a change. It's been two years and they called me yesterday to have my daughter come in for a well visit. She has been your patient for two years. Thanks for the care. This was not on Dr.P she was great but she took on too many patients, so many in fact it took two years to get back to me about my daughter. It's sad to have a good doctor become untrustworthy because her fellow staff members dropped the ball, but we as parents trust you with our babies, you took a medical oath and failed me and my family. read more

My daughter has always hated the doctor. She is two, which is understandable. We met Dr. James Abbott for her first appointment yesterday and she LOVED him. He is so friendly and welcoming. He is the first doctor that took the time out to talk to her and engage her in an approachable manner. He is professional and caring and a wonderful pediatrician. Dr. Lee has been our pediatrician for all my kids the last 6 years and has done a fantastic job. Really appreciate the conservative approach to treatment and having the best interests of our children. Only complaint is the appointments. Rarely are we seen within 15 minuets of the appointment time. The office staff can sometimes be rude and not considerate of your time. Otherwise a great place. read more

I feel you need to know who to go to here. The office staff is usually pretty good depending who is working. I have tried Dr. Schuman (hospital & emergency) who I do not recommend, misdiagnosed baby twice & can be rude. Dr. Poscik is nice & good in that she comforts and focuses a lot on moms knowing how it is with a baby. I preferred someone to focus more on baby during checkups. I stayed with Dr. Lee, she seems serious but her and her assistant are soo nice. She was the most thorough Dr. when checking baby which is what I wanted. I love Dr. Lee! The Dr.'s differ depending what you prefer. read more
