I was invited to play golf at this golf club. It's gorgeous. I've never played golf before but I've been on two other courses before for brunches and this is the most beautiful one.
I don't know the prices of renting the golf clubs or entry since I didn't pay but I'm sure it's not cheap. It was fun driving the golf cart around (grounds are huge) but the game became exhausting by the end of it as it was my first time playing. It's a tough sport, and a sexist one at that! There was a section for men to swing and a much closer section for women to hit from. I was only playing with men so that became tiresome and ended up hitting with them from their section.
My only complaints are the following: the system in the changing rooms were a woman has to assign a locker to you, lock and unlock your locker EVERY time you need to use it was absolutely ridiculous and tiresome considering there was an event and the room was completely packed with women. It was chaos. Also, they need better ventilation in there as it became extremely humid and stuffy as women took their showers.
Lastly, there was an old man on the course who was very patronizing with me "I won't bother measuring that" because I wasn't very good but hello, it's my first time playing and there's no point putting me down after my first ever swing! So unnecessary.
We had dinner there afterwards and the food was mediocre. I was expecting a lot better from such a beautiful golf club! read more
