The staff there were super nice to me! I had a blast when I visited last weekend, and the drinks were on point. All these reviews I'm seeing seem pretty twisted, irrelevant, or not the bar's fault. Some people that were causing problems for our little group even made lies and rumors up that are completely false! Those people clearly didn't know what kind of event they were going to before posting those reviews. One of the bartenders legit gave me a hug and he was really sweet! One of the staff accidentally threw out my drink but replaced it free of charge with more than what I had left in it! There's many other things I love about this bar and the staff there. I normally wouldn't comment on what someone else wrote on their review... but how can it be a review... someone actually wrote I would love to check this place out... so basically they've never been there. You can't give five stars to an establishment you've never patronized. That's retarded. I (unfortunately) have patronized this place. It's dingy, it's smelly, the drinks are all bottom shelf (they think effen is top shelf), it's not that large, the drag queens don't even try, the bathrooms I'm sure have been responsible for a for few UTIs... all in all a waste of time and money. read more

I came to Club Icon with a bachelorette party on a busy Saturday night. Music was good, dancing was fun, service was great, and I had a nice chat with a gentleman at the bar while I was getting a drink and taking a break. Then we left and I left my jacket there. UGH! I thought it was never to be seen again. To my surprise, when I called the next afternoon, they not only still had it, but were so friendly and helpful, offering the hours of the next 2 days since Memorial Day was the day after I called. I got my coat back, and EVERYTHING was in it!!!!! I was amazed by the honesty of the patrons and staff alike. This gay club/bar is amazing. It's great to dance because there are two cages, a stage, and a dance floor. Also great for drinking because there are two bars. It also has two pool tables. A patio to smoke, and a great atmosphere! Everyone there is so much fun and friendly. The cover charge is 4 dollars but worth it! It's usually better to go on Fridays then Saturdays. Best place to go clubbing in Kenosha. I've been to clubs in Chicago and Milwaukee and this place is as close as you can get to a club in Chicago or Milwaukee without the drive. They play top 40's type music like Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas, etc. Sometimes they'll play latin music. They have two bars- one by the dance floor and another that is more for the people who just want to drink at the bar. They have pool tables and a screened in porch for smokers. Friday is the best night to go. Get there before 10 pm and you won't have to pay a cover. After 10 you pay $5. Saturday's are usually the nights they host drag shows so they club doesn't get started until after 10:30. The drinks are fairly inexpensive and they taste good. The ladies bathroom is cleaner than any of the other clubs' ladies bathroom I've seen. read more

So you pay to get in for one. For two, cash only bar. Three (and the worst) if you paid the cover to get in be ready to see gay men going at it. If you tell the security that it's inappropriate, they don't care. I'd spend my money in Chicago or Milwaukee verses here. read more

I've only been here a handful of times, but I've loved it so far. Each time I ended up staying nearly past last call and had a blast each night as well. Being used to the expensive scene in Chicago, where everybody goes to see and be seen, this was a breath of fresh air: Casual, come-as-you-are and stay for a drink or three. No pretenses or attitudes here (at least that I've encountered so far). Nice dance floor and two separate bars with a fairly good amount of seating scattered throughout, but get there relatively early on a weekend night to make sure you score a table. My favorite tables are right by the dance floor, so I can watch everyone dancing while enjoying my drink and, of course, run over to shake it if a particularly good song comes on! I think it goes without saying that drinks are a lot less expensive than going to the Chicago bars and it's a different atmosphere in general. I was surprised by how busy the weekend nights get - Apparently there is a pretty large LGBT population in the Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin (Kenosha, Racine, etc) areas! Glad that they are no longer under-served with a great location (you can't miss it right off of I-94) just past Pleasant Prairie but way before Racine. The music is good - Your typical pop/dance/Top 40 hits - and they have a fairly large amount of events as well, including themed nights, special parties, drag shows, etc. Per the other reviewers, there ARE a significantly larger portion of straight people here than you would find at, say, Roscoe's or Spin in Chicago but I'm not sure if it's because people are open-minded and not so put off by a big, bad gay bar OR if it's because they're looking for third parties or just to be pervy - I never had any issues with them, though. As long as they don't ask me to be their third party, I can hang :) - The crowd is DEFINITELY primarily comprised of the LGBT community, though! I don't know, I'm quite easy-going so I look forward to returning eventually and having another good time all night long - But with a lot less strain than Chicago puts on my wallet in a weekend! ~ read more

Club Icon - formerly Club 94 and formerly located at Highway C and I-94 used to be an AWESOME club! Now I think it's a stripper bar. Club Icon is a disappointment. Perhaps I was spoiled in my younger days with Club 94 and the bars in Chicago, but I just don't see any point in going here any longer. The music is wonderful and Mykee makes the best drinks at the back bar. One of the best things about Icon is you can come as you are and no one will judge. The specialty nights are great and the occasional scantily clad strippers are always appreciated. The atmosphere is friendly and dare I say...not as snooty as other bars in locations to the south. I hadn't been to Kenosha before, and was told by some that "there's nothing there". To my surprise! Club Icon was there and, it was a great place to hangout! The usual fare - if you're local, you write great reviews because the bartenders want you to keep coming back to spend more (and you think by writing great reviews that you will be treated like royalty). If you're from out of town, you get the warm and friendly "Oh it's so nice to have you here!" when you first arrive. After that, you're just another warm ass on a bar stool. You can hob nob with the other patrons and spend as much money as you like (until last call). When last call comes, you'd better be prepared to haul your ass out of there, or you will be asked to leave in no uncertain terms (unless one of the locals wants in your pants). Go there if you like the usual barfly games. Otherwise, save your cash. They don't take plastic, even though they dish it out like candy. read more

First time experience review, but coming from Chicago I have to say that this place was AWESOME! Very unlike the gay clubs in Chicago, the people here were very friendly, outgoing, social, and no pretenses. I highly recommend anyone Gay/Straight to check Icon out. I went on a Friday night I believe, and it was Karaoke night. It was a bit empty but then again I don't know how nightlife works in Kenosha, maybe Saturdays are better? Who cares I am a Karaoke fanatic and I can easily say that out of the tens of Karaoke nights I have gone to, Club Icon was and has been the best experience I have had! The DJ was awesome, the host was great, and that setting is amazing. There is a main stage with a cage on each side, and that had me going lol The bartenders were amazing, the price ranges were incredibly affordable, I was having a 2$ pint of Coors beer! All in all I highly, recommend this spot, it is of great caliber. Great experience to what I was not expecting. I will def make a visit to Kenosha just to bring my friends here since I have spread the word on how awesome my night was here.
