Visiting the area and took a walk over to Reefpoint. Overall, I'd recommend it. They are right in…read morethe marina here in Racine. The restaurant is quite spacious and located on the second level of the building. There are options to sit inside, outside but covered, or outside. The marina and Lake Michigan add the experience with great views from the deck area. Our server was very nice. She was super attentive, and we really appreciated her checking back in for refills, napkins, etc. The food was actually the highlight of my experience. I got the garlic shrimp skewers which came with a Hawaiian roll, Cole slaw and a side (I chose a baked potato). My partner got the prime rib dip with hush puppies. Didn't have a chance to take a pic of the cheese curds before they were devoured! Only downside is the place is VERY noisy. Everytime someone who move a chair, the scraping sound was otherworldly. They are metal chairs on a concrete/gravel flooring. Not ideal. And waitstaff was constantly dropping things and running into each other or the chairs/tables. That was a bit chaotic. However, the food was great and so were the views. They also have live music (they had wrapped up before we got there today). I'd definitely come back (maybe sit inside near an area where you can look out on the lake).

Prices are affordable and there's fabulous outdoor seating, both in the shade and in the sun. Unfortunately I was just visiting but I'd love to come here again. Thanks for the extra pickles, Stacey!

By far my favorite spot in Racine for wings. Their famous grilled wings are to die for - added tip,…read moremake sure to get a side of mild sauce for dipping. It definitely gives sports bar vibes with all the tvs and cheap menus and what not, but this is why I love this place. Service is typically good and what you would expect and they always have some deals going on. Definitely recommend going for a football game, but of course, you will be waiting a little longer.

A girlfriend and I decided to grab something for lunch and neither of us had ever been to Buckets…read more When you first walked into the restaurant there was a very strong smell of cigarette smoke. There didn't seem to be anyone smoking so I am not sure where that smell was coming from. When you walk in you seat yourself and very promptly a very sweet waitress welcomed us and she brought water. I ordered the chicken wings, and my gf ordered a breakfast burger and we ordered some fried cheese curds. The cheese curds were amazing. Honestly the best I have ever eaten. The coating on the curds was very light, basically a dusting of coating but they were delicious. My gf's burger looked good and she said it tasted good too it had a soft egg, bacon and cheddar cheese on it. You could see the egg running down the sides of the burger. I got my chicken wings just fried with teriyaki sauce on the side. The wings were pretty good with no real coating on the chicken. The chicken was good but nothing spectacular. The best part of the whole lunch was the fantastic waitress welcomed us had. Lunch was by all means good, if I had just had the curds I would have said it was the very best. The other foods brought it down a notch but I would go back and try something else!

Hotel Verdant was the perfect place for my family and I to stay during our visit to Milwaukee!…read more We picked a standard room with 2 queen beds, but it was much nicer than I expected! The room was spacious with plenty of counter space and charging ports, and the restroom was restocked daily with complimentary toiletries. I feel like I can never get a good night's sleep when I'm say sleeping on a hotel bed, but I slept like a baby in my bed at Hotel Verdant! The sheets felt so luxurious and comfortable, and while I usually need to stack the pillows in hotel beds, one pillow was plenty of support for me here. I also appreciated that the housekeeping service actually did come freshen up our room (make the beds, replace the towels, etc) every day during our stay, which doesn't usually happen at the other hotels I've stayed at recently. I didn't love that there is no attached parking garage/lot for the hotel, and instead you have to lug all your luggage across the street to the lot that is shared with two restaurants. My reason for giving Hotel Verdant 4 stars instead of 5 is because the bathroom door did not close all the way in my room, which was very inconvenient, and one of the coffee mugs in my room was very obviously dirty upon my arrival (there were drips of coffee still in it). However, neither of those issues are total dealbreakers, and I do see myself staying at Hotel Verdant if I'm ever in that area again!

The linens...holy cow...top notch. And the bed - so comfy that I didn't want to get out of it! Love it that they provide a large, sealed, reusable, glass carafe of water. And, a really cool water pot to heat for tea. Ingenious! My one star knock is for 2 reasons: 1) I spaced packing q-tips and called the front desk for some. They didn't have any, which was sort of a shock...most hotels have an "emergency" kit or a small gift kiosk offering simple items that are easily forgotten by travelers. 2) My room faced a parking lot which wasn't a big deal, however they were doing some kind of demolition that began around 6:30a. The next morning, the young man who checked me out kindly let me know that next time I can request a quiet room to avoid the noise. A great tip! Neither 1 nor 2 is a deal breaker.
